    I was cautious about working with a company that I only knew through social media advertising, but I was impressed right from our first meeting. From start to finish, DBS did an exemplary job. They worked within our tight schedule, and succeeded beyond our expectations. They were precise and responsive to our calls and emails, and also proactive in all of their outgoing communications.     Nick and his crew did a very nice job on our insulation project. His daily communication was excellent. He let me know when he was leaving the office to begin and also let me know at the end of the day when they were complete along with pictures of work completed for the day. He was quick to communicate any issues along with solutions and photos. They put in three full days of work and never left for another project. They did a great job on clean up at the end of the project. Nick took pride in his work as was evident when we went through the project at completion. Well Done!

    If you have foundation issues, I highly recommend DBS. I spoke with multiple contractors who were not interested in doing crawl space work. DBS galvanized adjustable pier and beam system was a great, affordable solution and the technicians on site were knowledgeable and took great pride in their work.

    Because we were so pleased with our initial DBS experience we decided to use them again for another challenging cabin project that was beyond our ability to effectively address. After removing a sidewalk along the uphill facing side of a cabin we purchased, built in 1946, we discovered what we feared. Significant wood rot of our rim joist, wall sill, and beams. We knew DBS was the reliable, quality solution and we were right! From Jake’s thorough analysis, thorough and reasonable discussion of options so we could participate in the selected solution given all the facts, to an exceptional team comprised of Trevor and Ethan, we can say we are incredibly pleased and relieved with the outcome. We are confident our cabin is ready now for the new t generations in our family, giving us great comfort not just now but for those generations to come. Trevor and Ethan went the extra mile, always exhibiting the finest in customer service and a desire to address any questions and provide valued explanations. They did a fabulous job along the repair route of leveling our structure, a very challenging outcome given the specific situations of our situation. They delivered! 10 out of 10 stars plus!

    The employees are extremely respectful and filled us in on all details. My basement was clean when they left, actually the only way we knew they had been in our house was a very well insulated basement and a crawl space that was white, insulated and didnt have that musty smell any more.     All of the crews that came to work on my basement project were great to work with. They updated me when Glen and his crew unintentionally hit a line and called a plumber to check things over. They even foam insulated my rim joists which was something I’ve wanted to get done since I bought my house over 14 years ago. Thank you Jake Gilmer for mentioning that when you came out for the estimate. Weston still needs to come and finish up the caulking around the outside since he lifted and leveled my sidewalk, but the weather hasn’t exactly cooperated since he did that 3 weeks ago. The main thing is that my basement has been dry ever since they have finished the work.

    It took ten days past the date of my original appointment to get our job done. It was mostly because of weather,(rain) and an equipment problem. I understand weather and equipment failure, however there was no communication. I had to call several times to ask where are the crew? It would have been much appreciated if some one would have called to let us know what was happening and set up new appointments when it rained.When they came to do the job, the 2 men were clean cut, polite, and did an excellent job.

    Highly recommend you at least let them do an inspection and quote. You will learn a lot and are given many options and reasons why certain things need or dont need to be done. They did a great job in my nasty crawl space to make it a clean and dry space protecting the rest of the building and foundation.

    Let me start by saying that problems in a basement are scary, and can be quite draining financially and emotionally.We had water coming into our basement through the slab and needed to have a sump pump installed and DBS was the first place we called. Right from the initial conversation with Paige, to the gentleman Henrik who came to inspect and give us a quote, and finally to the crew who did all the work, Lee Krouse and Chris, we are 100% pleased with the process and information provided.However, the crew Lee and Chris went over and above to make this frightening situation less daunting. From the moment they arrived in our home we were treated with respect, our home was treating with respect, they kept us informed every step of the way, they answered all of our questions, they showed us things we’d not realized about or cement floor, educated us on the products that were being used, and were enthusiastic and upbeat the entire time. There was *not one moment* that we regretted calling DBS to fix our basement. Lee and Chris took the time to make sure that as homeowners we were informed and happy with the entire process from the jackhammering straight down to finishing of the concrete. These two guys are an amazing team who work well together, smile freely, laugh often, and genuinely seem to enjoy each others company while working.They also took the time to show our youngest child interesting aspects of the rubble they were hauling out, and answered all of his questions as they came up and down out of the basement. 10/10 for customer service. 10/10 for teamwork. 10/10 for quality and competency. 10/10 for onsite customer support.Lee and Chris took our scary basement problem and left us with a beautifully fixed basement that we aren’t going to worry about any more.     DBS in general was a great company to work with. Their communication about your job will be thorough and timely. Across three or four different reps I spoke with, all were able to speak about my upcoming job and I could tell they were up to date. Nick the foreman at our job was very courteous and professional. His team did a great job respecting our house with prep & clean up. He also kept me in the loop with pictures and texts, so I knew what was going on.     Weve just had DBS waterproof our basement. We couldnt be more pleased with the process. Their response to our initial inquiry was prompt. Their sales representative came and spent a couple of hours with us going over the procedure, pricing and answering our questions. They proposed to do the work in less time, with less mess and destruction then other contractors and for a lot less money. It all seemed too good to be true. Well, it was true. The crew came (on time) and were finished in 2 days as promised. Casey and his crew were amazing. So polite and hardworking. Were still in awe over how efficient it all was. Thank you DBS!

    Mike came out and demonstrated his depth of knowledge, experience and his wonderful character. He evaluated our home and suggested a few simple fixes we could implement ourselves; no sales pitch, no pressure. Another company came out and quoted us for a $16,000 fix and made it seem like there was one solution and one solution only... When I mentioned this to one of my coworkers, it was recommended I get a second quote and mentioned DBS. I am so glad I reached out and I count myself lucky that Mike came out to evaluate our home. He looked at our problem and came up with at least 4 different solutions... he took my feedback to heart and adjusted on the fly to reach a permanent fix that we are very happy with- something only a true expert can ever do.     We recently used DBS to have our attic insulated and water proofing done in the basement. From the first visit where we got our quotes to the finishing of the final projects DBS was great. The guys doing the quotes were really well educated on the products they offered and seemed passionate about helping their customers. I really appreciated their customer service approach to business and how responsive they were compared to other companies we contacted. We immediately noticed a difference in the temperature of the house being more consistent and so far no wet basement with all the rain we have had.

    Repair proposal and cost estimate process with Henrik was very thorough and professional. All questions and concerns were clearly addressed, putting my son (new home owner) at ease knowing it would be fixed right and have a 75 year warranty. Due to a cancellation, we were scheduled just 2 days later for the repair to the foundation.Repairs:Zach and Adam arrived by 0820 and quickly went to work installing the 12mil poly on the affected basement wall. They had completed installation of the 5 I-beams and clearly demonstrated the torque process and frequency to both of us. They also foam sealed around the floor joists. They finished just before noon. They did a great job and left the basement cleaner than they found it. We were very impressed from start to finish with the DBS team.     I am impressed with all aspects of my experience with DBS Foundations so far. Kevin and his crew are very hard working fellows that turned our crawl spaces from disgusting to amazing.     Insulation project of attic space in existing home. My roof started developing ice dams and leaking after 20 years. Old insulation was no longer effective. DBS sent Uriah out for a free quote very quickly. He evaluated and explained everything, step-by-step, that would be involved. All questions answered. The project was scheduled in a timely manner. Very prompt communication ongoing.Nick & Rob showed up on the job on the date and time as specified. Nick was very informative and knowledgeable. He kept me informed of all that was being done and shared pictures as the project progressed. He was professional and personable. The project was completed in the time frame stated. Everything was cleaned up before they departed.My home felt immediately warmer!! Unfortunately, at this time, I will not know if this will prevent future ice dams, but I am very optimistic.     Living in Duluth, MN sucks and besides the snow, the civic decay, and living with people who lack discipline and respect, you are going to have a wet, mouldy basement. I was personally hoping that the crumbling (Duluthian-made) basement would just cave in so that I could convince my wife to move to southern Minnesota where people are decent and and have some pride. But nope, along comes DBS, who for $25,000 can keep your basement producing mould spores for up to 75 years. Your basement will never be dry, but with steel supports on the wall, hopefully we can convince some hick from the woods to overpay for the place.Living in Duluth is not a challenge. Living in Duluth Culture is.

    I loved everything about working with DBS. From the initial call to completion everything and everyone was great. They were not the first company I call, but they are the last and only I one I will ever call back. The solution they offered was the correct one and the best one for the situation, unlike what the others I spoke to had proposed. And they were the most affordable.One on my basement walls was bowing to the point where there was no option but to fix it. After speaking to other companies, I had been left with the feeling that would we end up losing the house because the rates were so high. But after consulting with Dakota from DBS, I was floating on cloud 9. Not only could I fix and stay within budget, the solution would actually pull the wall back to straight. The others had only proposed would have stopped the wall from coming in any further.Then they were here a few weeks later, showed up on time, got everything done in one day, and didnt interfere with my work which is done from home over the phone. Trevor was great. Explained everything they were doing, maintenance, gave me his phone number if I had any questions come up in the future.Everything went precisely as they said. No complications. Neither can be said for any of my past experiences with any other contractor. DBS should be the only call anyone with basement issues calls. I can not recommend them highly enough. On a scale of 5 stars they are 10.

    DBS did an outstanding job. All three guys in site were great! I always have high expectations (just like I have of myself) and they met them in every way. Casey was fantastic. He looked me in the eye, he listened, and made any necessary adjustments to the plan along the way. He was very easy to work with. Jamie was a master on the mini loader...like a surgeon with his precision. He avoided potential damage because of his skill and care. Jose was great, too. He did a lot of heavy, physical work over the 3 days. Overall, their attitudes were great which you would think would be true of every service company. These guys are a great reflection on the company. But I dont want to forget Jeff Aili. While we never met, he spent more than a fair amount of time with me on the phone prior to the start of the project. He was very personal and informative. Of course, the job will have to prove itself over many years but I believe it will do exactly what we want it to do. Please post this so others can see. It was comments from satisfied customers which made me go with DBS in the first place and I would recommend them to anyone.

    We had an excellent experience with DBS from start to finish. When we first called to ask about their services, we werent even sure if they would have a solution to shore up our seasonal cabin, but we set up an appointment for a free review and estimate. James looked at our situation and explained how they could install helical piers and a steel beam. He set up a date for the work to be done that would work for us.On the appointed day, Kevin and Brian arrived on time, introduced themselves, and got to work. They explained the process, answered all our questions, and updated us periodically as they progressed on the job. They were friendly and polite in all of their interactions with us, and made sure we were satisfied at the end of the job.I highly recommend this company based on my experience with James, Kevin, and Brian.

    Update nearly one year later: I am VERY happy to say that the work done by DBS has completely eliminated our ice dam issue. I also can say the insulation is saving us roughly 20-30% on our heating and cooling costs - I use a smart thermostat and temperature sensors throughout the home, and making a rough comparison to before the insulation (taking into account the outdoor temperature), the insulation work is also saving us money each month. (It will take a long time to recoup the insulation cost by energy savings alone, but the peace of mind knowing the ice dam issue has solved is the primary reason we went with DBS.)Had a great experience with DBS insulating our home! Henry spent hours on the initial inspection and estimate diligently taking a look at our issues. For the actual work, Nick W. and crew were fantastic - Nick communicated to me well before and during the work being done, and I certainly appreciate that him and the crew werent too loud since my wife and I are both working from home. The cleaned up after each day of work, and they even took my garbage bin from the street back to the garage! The crew also made sure to lock up the house when we were out for the spray foam work. Nick shared numerous photos of the work which I appreciated - it was great to see the details of what was being done. DBS was a very professional company to work with through and through. My only complaint is that I think DBS charges a high rate for their services, but when I was bidding this work I wanted things done right the first time - I didnt want to risk going with the lowest bid and not solving my primary problem (ice dams). From my experience I think the cost is probably worth it - its hard work and I think it will be a very worthwhile investment for our home. Thank you Henry and Nick for the great experience!

    We used DBS to have our foundation stabilized so it would quit sinking in addition to adding a sump pump, the WaterGuard system to help with the condensation leaking into the basement and the dehumidifier system for the basement. Starting from the first visit getting a quote to the end with the guys finishing the work, every single person was amazingly professional. When I got to be nosey and wanted to see what was happening the guys would explain every bit of the process and how this was helping my home. The guys that came to my home were great, I would like to point out Trevor, Gavin, Osia, and Erik these guys know their jobs and got it done quick. A+ work.

    We had estimates from two other companies and DBS far surpassed the others in response time, promptness, quality, and price. They didnt make us feel like we were sold something but rather let us be in charge of choosing what worked best for us. On work day the team called to let me know their ETA and showed up on time. They put down drop cloths and hung plastic to prevent getting the house dirty and they left the basement cleaner than they found it.     I have to admit that I was nervous before the work as it was such a lot to do. They were doing push piers under the foundation, helical piers for a deck, Smartjacks to support the main beam in the basement, Geo-locks to straighten the cinder block wall, and installing a backup sump pump. When the crew came to do the work (Nate and Adam), they explained each step to me and put me at ease. They communicated with me throughout each process and if they ran into a decision that needed to be made by me they explained each choice in detail. They were very knowledgeable in everything they were doing. I cant remember ever having a crew doing work on my house who were so courteous, knowledgeable, and communicative. This was a great experience considering I was so worried initially. I would recommend this company and especially this crew to anyone needing foundation work.

    We bought a house with major foundation issues in Neillsville, WI. Initially we called a local contractor to take a look. They came out and quoted us almost what we paid for the house. Luckily we had a DBS flyer show up in the mailbox, soon after. Although over 3 hours away, DBS sent Mr. Corbin out to give us a quote. It was very fair; about 1/4 of what the initial contractor quoted!Once the work started, the crew was extremely professional, courteous, timely and friendly. Our situation was compounded by rain, sleet and mud, but these guys worked very long days to get everything completed on time.A few weeks later we noticed some water pooling in one area of the basement. DBS came back out with a crew to fix the leak and again, they were extremely professional.These folks really cared about the quality of their work and about my own satisfaction with it. Very few companies that I’ve dealt with over the years show this kind of commitment. I can’t emphasize enough how happy I am with the work.

    We bought our current home in Oct. last year. The attic insulation was very old and inadequate. Contracted with DBS to remove and replace. The work was completed in April, about a month earlier than originally promised.Work was done by Nick and Ron. It took them a full day and a half to clean out the old insulation, due to the age of the existing insulation. The guys worked almost non-stop, breaking only for lunch.Nick called every morning to let me know when they would arrive, and kept me up to date on how the work was progressing. He also let me know about odd things he discovered while doing the work (like not having any existing insulation over the shower), and sent me photos at different stages of the work.I highly recommend DBS for insulation.

    Our 700 sq ft cabin was built in 1980 with a post foundation and open crawl space. We noticed that part of the floor was sagging so I called DBS. I had a site visit set up with Rich within a few days of the time I first called. This was amazing but exactly what I needed since our floor was collapsing and in need of immediate repair. The project was completed within a month of my initial contact. It does not get any better than that, especially since the work was done during the Minnesota winter! The crew (jacobi, Jose, Jamie, and Zach B) did a great job. They spent 5 days working in cold weather and kept me informed of all procedures with a time line. I asked a lot of questions and always got straightforward answers. This was a complex project that required replacing the main floor beam that was rotting causing the floor joists to sag. The crawl space is only 18 high and these guys worked under there in the dirt and accomplished the job. I live 150 miles from Duluth and they showed up on time every day. The crawl space is now enclosed, sealed, and insulated, the floor is now level and solid, and the yard is completely cleaned up, cleaner than before all the work. This crew was amazing. I would certainly recommend DBS to any one needing serious foundation repair.

    I contracted with DBS to improve my homes insulation in the spring of this year. They completely removed and replaced the old fiberglass batts in the attic with closed-cell foam and 18 of blown insulation with a total R value of 60 above my living spaces.They also replaced the fiberglass batt insulation along the rim joist and sill in the basement with closed-cell foam which was very effective in eliminating the cold air infiltration along the gaps between the fieldstone foundation and the sill.In addition, they encapsulated the crawlspace with closed-cell foam and a very strong vapor barrier on the earthen floor, sealed with foam at all the seams.Now that the cold weather is upon us, Im noticing a remarkable improvement in the comfort and coziness of my well-insulated home; the propane stove runs less frequently and not as long when it does, the rooms above the crawlspace are quite comfortable and require very little energy to heat. Perhaps most impressive is the fact that after several snowfalls there are no ice dams forming on the eaves.The project was fairly expensive, but DBS had financing available which fit my budget, and given the quality of the work, the increased comfort (and value) of my home, and the huge savings in energy costs Im already experiencing in the first year, Im more than satisfied with the value of the service I received from DBS.

    I needed my attic insulated properly and my salesman Jacob came here and assessed my situation then made recommendations to achieve my desired goals. He was very knowledgeable and went upstairs and saw exactly what I needed to retain my heat, eliminate ice dams and make my home all around more comfortable in both winter and summer.     Great service, It was a pleasure working with everyone at DBS. From the person who answered the phone, to the person who came over to look at my basement and provided me with an estimate, the person managing the project and last but not least, the people who came over to do the work.     I was just under my cabin in the crawl space and noticed my one support beam that I wished they put a second metal support beam. Otherwise I am happy with the work. Oh and one wall had no spray foam insulation.

    We have been searching for a place to lift our floors for over 4 years. Everyone we checked into wanted to dig under our house to lift the floors. Finally found DBS Solutions. What a GREAT group of people from beginning to end. They were able to go into our crawl space and lift our floors. So glad I found them. I would HIGHLY recommend them.
