Bradford & Kent was great to work with from design through construction. During design, Greg took time to listen to our wish list and came up with a great design combining our too small dining room and outdate kitchen layout with a larger, more functional space. The 3D views he provided gave us confidence in the overall layout. We even have cabinet space that we have not used yet.Mary Kate patiently attended to our cabinet, counter and fixture selection as we went through the tremendous variety of each. She even steered us away from selections that, now that the kitchen has been completed, we are completely happy with.Brian was great during construction keeping us informed and up to date on all construction activities. All construction projects have their unexpected challenges and ours was no exception. The few small issues that did arise were quickly and happily addressed by Brian and his team.

B&K did a great job and our kitchen is an absolute work of art. It speaks for itself! B&K managed to include everything I wanted within my existing square footage and made it beautiful. The designers worked with me to make all the colors work together and even helped me picked paint colors that worked with adjacent spaces.

I highly recommend Bradford & Kent for any renovation projects you are considering. They did an amazing job from start to finish on my interior renovation. As the project progressed, I ended up adding some additional items and they had no problem taking on the extra work. My project manager had an incredible ability to address any concerns that arose and reassure me when something didn’t go exactly as planned. He was extremely organized, efficient, and knowledgeable. I am so grateful to have had his guidance and leadership throughout this inherently stressful process. As a company, Bradford and Kent always stood by their work, and made corrections to all mistakes (which weren’t many, but of course things happen in any renovation) immediately upon discovery. I was very appreciative, as I have heard horror stories of other contractors not maintaining such high standards. My home is now the beautiful place I envisioned and I am so grateful to Bradford and Kent.Some of the work that B&K completed at my home:- Complete kitchen remodel- move laundry room to upstairs (create large space out of a bedroom walk-in closet and part of the bedroom with entry from hallway)- Turn previous 1st floor laundry room into a beautiful and functional mudroom that leads to back deck- remodel foyer from garage entry- refinish and extend hardwood floors throughout the entire main floor- remodel staircase- replace basement ceiling tiles…And many smaller items* I remodeled the exterior of my home the season prior and I can honestly say that I wish I would have used Bradford and Kent for that as well. Unfortunately, I went with a roofing/siding company that specializes in exterior only. I saw a house down the street in my neighborhood have almost identical exterior work done on their home by Bradford and Kent - theirs looks better. My Hardie siding has visible gaps and theirs does not. I wish I would have gone with B&K so I thought it was worth mentioning for anyone looking to do exterior work as well.

Extremely satisfied with their work! B&K did a complete kitchen remodel plus master bath- both projects down to the studs and some reconfiguration. They paid attention to all the details, and insisted everything was done properly- no shortcuts for these contractors. Our project supervisor Dana was amazing and addressed our every concern and kept us informed of every step. They were mostly on schedule for completion and our punch list was only 2 items- they got it all right the first time. All their contractors worked to minimize dust and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Our designer Sharon was amazing to work with and really brought forth a design that worked very well for our space. Wed highly recommend B&K.

We had an incredible experience working with Bradford & Kent. We updated our kitchen and had hardwood floors installed throughout the first floor. From the initial visit to the completed project, everything and everyone was fantastic. Diane, our designer was able to envision and design the changes we were looking for. Our project manager, Jeff, managed the project expertly, so much so that it was completed ahead of schedule. Every person we worked with was very professional and meticulous. We are completely satisfied with the quality of workmanship and will use Bradford and Kent for any future home improvement projects.

I have recently had Bradford and Kent complete an exterior curb appeal project for me. This project required raising part of my roof to make a more dramatic entrance and installing of a large bow window. This is my second exterior project I had them do for me. Both times they kept me in the loop and took care of all the permits, construction, inspections and cleanup. This project just like my previous one turned out great and I would definitely recommend them!

From the start of the process, Bradford & Kent was honest and determined to work within our budget. Our designer, Darci Tee, was fantastic, She brought our ideas to life and stayed within budget. Her ideas were so helpful when laying out our kitchen design, She designed and island that worked in the space we have and made it look like so custom. She was with us every step of the way, picking out cabinets, countertops, flooring, paint, and so on. After all the planning, B & Ks construction crew was professional, clean, and very attentive to details. Our project manager, Jon Graunke, was at the house regularly to oversee the work, B & K finished on time and on budget. We could not be happier with the process, and most importantly, the finished product.

We initially had a master bath remodel with them and were so impressed with the work that we ended up also having them do a second project to redo our kitchen and first floor. Diane has impeccable design taste and great attention to detail. She knows just the right questions to ask and listened to every request we had regarding design. She was also very informative regarding electrical, architecture, and engineering work that would be necessary in order for us to get what we wanted. We were also fortunate to have Brian and Louie on our two separate projects. They both worked hard to keep our projects on schedule and were very communicative about work in progress, upcoming work, and status on project timeline, even down to inspection schedules. We couldn’t be any happier with the work Bradford and Kent has done to our house and love the results. They are the ones to go with if you’re looking for white glove treatment. They were exceptional the second time we used them for our remodel.Drew, the construction manger was professional, response, and caught small issues before I did. I would bring up small things to Drew and he said he was already tracking the issues and working on getting it resolved. Drew went above and beyond and is true professional. The tradesmen were great and the quality is awesome. Gregg, did an amazing job with the design. Were are very happy with the work they did and would recommend them to family and friends.

Bradford and Kent provided us with a home addition, a remodel of the entire downstairs of our home, patio construction, exterior work, and a new driveway. The entire process from start to finish was seamless. Mark was the architect that we used and he did an amazing job planning out exactly the space we envisioned. The construction phase of the project went smoothly and according to plan. They estimated the project to take 6 months from start to finish and they met that goal almost to the day. We stayed in the home while it was under construction so we were thrilled that it was completed on time. The work done is high quality and is absolutely beautiful. We highly recommend Bradford and Kent for any home improvements!

We’ve done a ton of work on our house but have not had the best of luck with contractors. Then we worked with Bradford and Kent to install new front and side doors, and it was a great experience. Jim walked us through the process and kept us in good communication. Louie handled the labor and delivered excellent work. Even when there was some confusion over the contract, Bradford and Kent came through. Highly recommend. Will work with them in the future.

After years of searching for the right people for the job, we ended up with Bradford & Kent and we couldn’t be happier we did. Every aspect of our home remodel project was professionally handled from the initial meetings and architectural drawings that were put together (which were complimentary services!) to the finalization of our plans, working with a design consultant to pick out all of the details, to the actual project itself, we knew we were in the right hands every step of the way. Initially, we worked with Mark and he was a great person to begin our project with. His calm, easy going manner helped us to find direction with our project and get a feel for what things would look like. Mark continued working with us for about 10 months making changes and tweaks along the way as our project evolved. Working with Sarah, the design consultant, was a dream. Sarah was integral in helping me make the best choices when it came to flooring, countertops, backsplashes, tile, cabinetry and more. Bradford & Kent makes the selection process easy since their design studio is where I would meet with Sarah and all of the materials were brought in to me. I did not have to go store to store searching for the perfect tile. What a relief since as a working mom, I don’t have too many free minutes to waste! I was most worried about the selection process, but Sarah was patient and insightful with me. Once our job began on site, we had our project manager, Louie, on the job. Louie ran a tight ship, keeping track of the demo crew, all of the trades, our materials and managing the day to day schedule. I met with Louie frequently to review items, go over our timeline and make decisions. Louie was someone I felt extremely comfortable with managing our project on site. I knew I could trust him and count on him to keep things moving in the right direction and to be honest and fair with us. I was sad to see our project be completed only because I miss my daily chats with Louie. The trades that worked on our project were top notch. From the electricians to the plumbers to the AMAZING carpenters - we had the best of the best. Everyone was professional, meticulous in their craft and extremely friendly. Our final result could not be more spectacular. We ended up with an almost total home remodel including a remodeled and enlarged kitchen + addition, 2 bathroom remodels, primary bedroom and bathroom addition, new windows, hardwood flooring, facelift for our screened in porch, new roof, updated electricity and more. We could not be more pleased with the work done in our home and recommend Bradford & Kent to anyone who asks. You cannot go wrong with them!

Bradford and Kent did a great job from start to finish. We work with Jim G. who created our architectural design for the whole exterior as well as a 2nd floor renovation of two new bathroom and three new bedrooms. We also change the first floor quite a bit as well. The design he created was great. From the interior designer to Jake, our project manager, we had a pleasant experience. We highly recommend them as many neighbors in our town are amazed with the transformation of our home. The total project was estimated to take 17 weeks and they finished on time. Great team to work with and what is promised in the beginning was delivered at the end.

They are very talented people who demonstrated a command of their field and an extraordinary ability to communicate and to work well with us. I would love the opportunity to work with them and the entire Bradford and Kent team again.

We used Bradford & Kent for a major kitchen and master bath remodel. We are EXTREMELY happy with the entire experience. We had a strict budget, and initially two other design firms laughed at my budget and said I couldnt do what I wanted to do with the budget I had. Not B&K. Their designer Laura worked with us to create a beautiful layout that fit our budget and our design goals. Throughout the entire construction phase, Rick managed our project with incredible attention to detail. He was available for every question we had, he always made sure we understood our project timeline and key milestones, and when issues did pop up he always made us feel like we were his top priority. The owner also made a point to meet us and make sure we knew we could contact him directly if we ever needed to. We love our new kitchen and master bath, and were so pleased we chose to work with B&K. I have already recommended them to several friends, and I would work with them again in a heartbeat.

Bradford and Kent is definitely my go to company for all of my remodeling projects! I used them to completely remodel my kitchen and master bath in my previous home and they just completed my kitchen in my new home. I have always been impressed with their help and concern throughout the projects. They do a great job protecting the surroundings while they work and do a fabulous job of cleanup at the end of each day. All of the workmen have been wonderful and trustworthy. Their 5 year guarantee is fantastic! Any problems you have will be taken care of for 5 years after completion of the project. I will definitely us them again for any future projects. We just had Bradford and Kent install 2 picture windows where there were no windows at all. We had an awesome experience with Chris who came out for the initial consult and Emily who oversaw the entire project. We had used this company in the past for a kitchen renovation project and were very familiar with the process. We had some hiccups this time around but Emily handled everything with ease. She was on top of the last minute changes and handled everything very professionally. She communicated everything immediately and we always felt like she kept us in the loop. I highly recommend them for your future window needs.

We had an overall excellent experience with Bradford and Kent. We undertook a sizable remodeling project - completely new kitchen, fireplace, laundry room, bathroom, and new flooring through the entire first floor and hallway upstairs. We consulted with several builders before deciding to go with Bradford and Kent. We had general thoughts on what we wanted yet needed advice on the best way to execute our ideas. Diane was our designer and she was amazing. She listened to our ideas but was very helpful with fine tuning all of the details. The end result was exactly what we wanted. Our project manager, RIck, was great as well. Considering the size of our project, there were only a few minor hiccups. Rick handled them quickly and efficiently. He was also always responsive with our many questions. And last but not least - even with the unpredictability of 2020 - our project ran on time!! We would highly recommend Bradford and Kent to anyone considering any home projects.

Bradford & Kent put an addition on our house in 2001. We were incredibly pleased with the quality of their work and we have remained pleased after 17 years. We wanted to take a wall down between our family room and the kitchen to open up the rooms. We also did a complete kitchen remodel including new cabinets, moving appliances to a different part of the kitchen and some work on our wood floors. We trusted Bradford & Kent because of our past experience. We could not be happier with our new kitchen! It is beautiful and more functional. We were happy with the timeline in which they completed the job as well as with the workers. Everyone on the job was on time, clean and respectful of our home. We would not hesitate to hire them again.

We have used B and K twice for kitchen remodels. They just finished a project on our kitchen and family room reno. It is beautiful! Greg was our designer. He really listens to his clients needs and also made some great suggestions that we would not have thought of. Bryan was our construction manager. He addressed any issues right away. Everything was done on time. They were very responsive, cleaned up well, and made our reno as painless as possible. They may be a bit higher than other places but the job they do is incomparable.

More importantly, she provided samples of tiles I did not discuss and actually fell in love with something totally different than what I had originally envisioned. Having a good designer is one aspect, the installers, are also equally important. The installation couldnt of gone better. Jim. the project manager was professional, addressed our concerns and followed up with us promptly. The construction crew was on time, clean, courteous, and informative about the job. My master bathroom is beautiful thanks to the great team at Bradford and Kent.I would recommend Bradford and Kent and would not hesitate to utilize their services in the future.

Our kitchen designer, Carly, is professional, knowledgeable, patient and a delight to work with. If not for Carly our project would not be perfect. In addition to her, our project manager Louie, was equally professional and on top of every aspect of the job. At the last hour we had to have our remodeling done while we were out of town. B & K stepped up and had it totally completed by the time we returned. We have many condo building rules and everyone of them were followed by their crew, Andy is an amazing craftsman. Jim Nolan, our job superintendent, was on top of every detail of the job and was responsive to questions and concerns in a very timely manner. Every tradesman who entered our home was pleasant, respectful, and did quality work. The kitchen was completed within the projected time frame -- rare was the day when nothing was happening on the job. I LOVE my new kitchen and would highly recommend Bradford & Kent.

Bradford and Kent has once again finished a major remodel project at our home this past month. 28 years ago, B&K had put on our 1st addition on our home at that time, adding a bedroom, bath and expanding our kitchen. The addition at that time was to provide my wife’s elderly mother a living space which accommodated her aging condition.Well here we are 28 years later and another beautiful remodel project has been completed. This project was much larger and a bit more complicated than 1st remodel project. This project included a complete 1st floor remodel, living room, dining room and kitchen. We selected B&K based on our initial experience on 1st project and due to the complexity of taking down load bearing walls on this project, I wanted to ensure we selected a contractor that had personnel on staff to engineer the proper beams, placement of those beams, etc.The remodel turned out absolutely beautiful. I sincerely appreciate all the upfront effort with Sharon our designer, meeting with us initially, understanding our needs, sharing her experience/recommendations, meeting once a week for approx. 6-7 weeks reviewing drawings, cabinet selection, tile, handles, etc.Again, another beautiful remodel project completed by Bradford and Kent. Thank you for a job well done……highly recommend them for any remodel project.

We had Bradford & Kent expand our kitchen, redesign the majority of our first floor and add a fourth bedroom to our home. The entire process was seamless, from the initial design phase all the way through the final days of construction and inspection. During the construction, each trade was punctual, kept a neat workspace with materials and tools, exceptionally nice with our children and dog, and kept to the project schedule. They worked with us to design our floor plan, select appropriate appliances and recommend state of the art materials and hardware. When issues did crop up, they were there to recommend solutions and make sure the project stayed on track. We are particularly pleased with the beautiful finish carpentry (who are employees ensuring a consistent, professional appearance) and have had many compliments from friends and neighbors on both the exterior and interior of our home.As you can imagine, a four month construction process is a long time but the folks at Bradford & Kent kept us informed the entire way and minimized the intrusion. Neighbors initially referred us to Bradford & Kent and now we know why. We highly recommend them and would utilize them again, which is the highest compliment.

Bradford and Kent recently completed a kitchen and master bathroom remodel, at the same time, in our home which was built in 1999. It was a three month project, but we could not be more pleased with the finished product. Challenges do occur during this type of project, but the B & K staff was always polite, accommodating with our schedules, and considerate of the rest of our home during the construction. Our original home addition plans (a first floor master bedroom and bath) were denied by our village due to lot size limitations. It was unfortunate since the Bradford & Kent architect did a fantastic job of visioning the project and providing us with expert guidance and suggestions. We ultimately decided to convert our screen-in porch into a first floor bedroom and this project turned out great from start to finish. The new room fits perfectly into our home and looks as if it has always been part of the original home. The tradesmen who worked on the project were timely, courteous, clean and diligent. The project manager kept us informed each step of the way so there were no surprises. The project was completed on time and on budget. The true test of a remodeling contractor is whether they would be hired again. As we think about remodeling our kitchen and master bathroom, we would not hesitate to consult with Bradford & Kent.

Couple of months ago Bradford and Kent completed remodeling of our kitchen. It was gutted completely installing new cabinets, some new ceiling drywall, new quartzite countertops, appliances, electrical work, lighting and hardwood floor finishing. Also provided a warranty of their work.The project planning was done by B&K designer recommending and reviewing layout, dimensions, materials in their in office 3D software making easy to visualize the new kitchen Project manager and construction crew gave us a timeline for completion of work.While we hear about delays in remodeling work, this was a pleasant surprise when the kitchen was finished ahead of planned schedule. Moreover the quality of work was first rate, no repair work was needed.Planning a total kitchen makeover is quite time consuming, so that using K&B which has a complete showroom, designers, project managers saved us a lot of time and effort including daily monitoring of the project.Rob Quiqley, one of the owners, was very accommodating in making some decisions to move the project along. All in all we are quite happy with the quality of work and the new kitchen

We had the formidable task of researching for the right company to construct a complete re-hab of a kitchen, laundry room and three bathrooms. Our first stop was the seminars offered by Bradford and Kent on a Saturday morning. Their presentation was congenial, organized and professional. We looked no further! We worked with Laura on design and found her to be creative and well versed in 3-D drawings. This allowed us to visualize and modify on the spot as we discussed ideas. The cabinets we chose are of the highest quality and the fine workmanship of the carpenters made our drawings a beautiful reality. As in any large project there were slight modifications needed during the process. One weekend at an on-site visit we questioned a minor lay-out of the design. Within minutes we received a phone call from one of the owners assuring us it would be taken care of immediately. It was. When the project was completed we were introduced to Richard, the customer service rep. He made sure all the final details were completed to our satisfaction and explained that he would be our contact person if any problems arise in the future. We were also fortunate to meet and work with Laurie, the marketing coordinator. Her enthusiasm for our project was equal to ours. We found that we did not just sign with a company but with a team of people who obviously love what they do and service their clients with the highest degree of professionalism.

We needed new windows in our 1976 house. Our salesman, Jeremy Newman, suggested things we had not thought of, including specs that ended up saving us money. For instance, although our house is a traditional colonial with grids in the windows, he said, Do you really need them at the back of the house. Answer, no. Money saved. The installers were terrific--did the whole job in two days and cleaned up everything incredibly well. We recommend Bradford and Kent for windows--they used a well-known product that was priced well below the manufacturer reps quote. Very happy to have done business with Bradford and Kent.

I was impressed from my first phone call when I inquired about a basement design project. I was clueless but was quickly educated about the entire process by Sharon Obrien, the designer. She was incredibly professional and informative about the process and our options. The decision was nearly instant that this was the company we were going to choose and the process was entirely streamlined - from our walk through the showroom, to choosing our selections, to the actual start date. Sharon went out of her way to meet us in our home and accommodate our hectic schedules whenever meeting at the showroom. Everything she said was going to happen did and in a timely fashion. Every last detail was attended to - even ones I had no idea were included in our beautiful design. Then, she handed us off to Jon Graunke, our project manager who was amazing, as well! The start date was moved up to start a couple of weeks ahead of schedule, which was exciting news. The crew was super friendly but more skilled than I would believe. Our basement is no longer a storage area, but a beautiful and welcoming space where we now enjoy with our family and friends! Jon really paid attention to detail and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied, and he even made sure each fine detail was addressed! Last point, this was not a simple project - it included a workout room with a mirrored wall and a ballet bar, a guest bedroom, an exquisite bathroom, a stone fireplace, a bar/pub area with a beautiful island/peninsula that seats at least 7 cozy bar stools around it to gather with friends and a beautiful open space where we have placed our pool table and couches. Our home is complete and we guarantee to use Bradford & Kent on all future projects!

We researched and contacted multiple contractors, after meeting with Carrie Gallo the designer at Bradford & Kent we decided to get a quote for the remodeling of our kitchen /first floor.Carrie was knowledgable, friendly, she felt we could take walls down and have a more open concept to our kitchen and first floor. Carrie suggested to have Bradford & Kent Architect Pat have a look, to confirm about removal of walls, if load bearing or not? Pat was experienced, knowledgable and reviewed our entire first floor. Pat explained what needed to be done to remove the walls, Carrie gave us the estimated cost. We asked Carrie to share some of her ideas with us if we moved forward.We met Carrie to see her ideas. I have to mention every idea and design was clever, unique and detailed. We quickly discovered how talented Carrie was and seeing it on a big screen was amazing to see the transformation of our small kitchen. Every step with Bradford & Kent is outlined and detailed.At a meeting with Carrie at the showroom we notice that they install Windows and a great sale was going on for Pella. Chris came to our home reviewed our windows, Chris was helpful, answered our questions and concerns. In December 2016 Bradford & Kent installed all new Pella Windows, a sliding glass door, a screen storm door and fire safety entry door in our home and a affordable price.Carrie keeps us informed on what steps are next and when we make our selections. We have a budget so there is no surprise additional cost unless you make the choice to go over the budget. The work began in Febuary 2016, B&K applies for permits, dumpsters, port a pottys etc, they handle it all. Our project mgr was Louie, he did a great job keeping us informed each day on what would be done, he organized which trade was coming,. We went to Louie with are questions or concerns. He went above and beyond to help us with placement of our island. Always friendly, always helpful wanting to make sure we were happy.What we discovered on a project of our size, not everything will be as you anticipated, mistakes will be made and corrected, some trades are careless, even if you have a project manager who does a great job as Louie did, the homeowner has to watch the work being done and refer to your plans and contract. When electrician Robert noticed a fixture would look more centered if moved, that was an additional cost not anticipated but a idea we never thought to do, sometimes these things come up.We took a track home and Bradford and Kent made it a custom home! How many companies go beyond a 1 year warranty on there craftsmanship and work done on your home? We have a 5 year warranty with B&K! Our remodel was compeleted second week of May pretty close to scheduled date.Dave installed all of our cabinets, custom trim, window trim and doors, he is truly a talented master carpenter. He has integrity about his work, very helpful, knowledgable, punctual and cleans up every day,. Dave is a asset to Bradford & Kent.Everyone learns from a remodel, its stressful, its overwhelming , its also exciting, rewarding and fun.Absolutely we would do it again and the quality of the work when you walk in our door tells us yes we would definitely choose Bradford & Kent again. We hired B&K for our three story addition (incl. extended basement) off the back of our house and could not have been happier with the process, customer service and final result! Our designer/architect, Jim was super creative and most importantly, listened to our likes/dislikes. He collaborated with us and ultimately, designed the optimal layout for our family. He was extremely generous with his time, and would give us an opinion when we asked, which was appreciated!Our experience with the construction manager was equally as great! Not only was Louie super friendly (even to our dog!) but he was a straight-shooter who got the job done. He addressed all our concerns in a timely manner and really went the extra mile to not only make sure it was done right but that we were happy with the results. All the tradesmen were nice, respectful of us and our property, and clean!The only issues that came up were miscommunications on whether some items were included in the budget, which I think is bound to occur in any of these larger projects. At the end of the day, we worked with the team and B&K always made it right. The owner even visited our home one day to ensure our punchlist of items and any discrepancies were taken care of. He said he wanted a happy customer and it shows in the superior customer service they put forth during the entire project.Overall, it was so nice working with such friendly, respectful, and smart people during each stage of the process. I could not be happier with our addition (layout is perfect, quality is great!) and would highly recommend B&K to anyone looking to take on such a major remodeling project. After Bradford and Kent completed a complex remodeling project on the first floor of my house, I was so impressed and pleased that several years later I hired the company to perform a second complex remodeling project on the second floor. Bradford and Kent specializes in kitchen and bathroom remodeling/creation, but can also install new windows and design/construct additions to homes. Bradford and Kent also designs/performs other types of modifications such as finishing a basement space. In addition to the superb, high-quality installation, I was especially impressed with the initial free consultation and preliminary design processes. Bradford and Kent provides free in-home consultations during which measurements are acquired and goals are defined by the customer. This results in a custom-made design, a three-dimensional drawing and a cost estimate/range. I strongly recommend getting the free consultation and initial design/drawing. The design professionals can introduce concepts for optimizing use of space that a typical homeowner has not considered. If the customer decides to move forward to the contract stage, Bradford and Kent’s extensive show room/set of samples and catalogs allow easy selection of cabinetry, fixtures, floor/wall coverings, windows (if modified), countertops, and other design features. The final cost will likely depend on the customer’s selection of various options (e.g., granite vs. some alternative countertop; grade of cabinetry; cherry vs. a less expensive wood; standard or high-design tile, etc.). When comparing cost estimates from two or more potential providers, be certain to get estimates for a comparable design/quality of materials. The completed project includes a warranty. The job superintendent efficiently schedules the work by various individuals.

We recently used Bradford & Kent to completely gut and remodel our kitchen, laundry room (moved to a new location), master bath, refinish all hardwood floors, new doors and windows and put addition on garage. Our remodel included removing a load bearing wall (no issues), moving water, electric and HVAC among other things. Our designer, Laura, worked with us through many iterations of the plan until finding the one that was perfect for our needs. We did not have any already made decisions on room design, materials, etc. when starting and Laura was able to guide us through and as importantly, keep us from making mistakes in the process to select what is now a beautiful remodel.The work was all done as described. Of course with any job of this size there were some small surprises, but that is to be expected and all were able to be worked through easily and quickly with B&K. The workmanship was professional, workers all respected that we were still living in a half gutted home, were polite and cleaned up all work areas each day.We would recommend B&K, especially to those looking to remodel with a full service company; from idea to design to demolish to rebuild/build the new space.

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Bradford and Kent. I initially hired an inexpensive contractor who left my 2 bedroom condo an empty shell and a construction zone. Bradford and Kent helped me turn my disaster area into a gorgeous home. They completed everything from the electrical work and pluming to creating a dream of a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, two bedrooms, and living room. They were able to overcome numerous obstacles such as putting ceiling fans in a cement ceiling and creating the kitchen I wanted. My kitchen space was quite limited but despite this they were able to design a kitchen with all of my chosen appliances and more cabinet space than I had in much larger kitchens. They are very professional, ethical, and stand behind their work. I would not use anyone other than Bradford and Kent.

After having several different builders/architects look at our home, Joe Pavone was the first to come in with the ideas and creativity that helped us to accomplish our dream of adding a master suite onto our split level home. There were some small headaches over the course of the project, but I think that is to be expected with any major house remodel. He was timely and responsive during all phases of the project. Nothing ever goes perfectly, but the issues we had were so minor I have trouble remembering them. After talking to several contractors, we chose Bradford and Kent to remodel our 25 year old kitchen. We didnt look forward to the design process because we didnt have a lot of free time, were out of touch with what was in, and didnt really know what we wanted other than a new kitchen. Then we met Laura Ahrens and everything changed. She listened, asked the right questions, and on just our second visit put together the PERFECT design and even chose the finishes. I recently hired Bradford & Kent to replace a 2nd story double-wide, double hung Pella window including all of the associated external and internal pieces – trim, siding, etc. This average project was complicated by the fact that we have a mansard roof where the second story windows intersect and the window was totally dry-rotted due to ice damning over this particular window. Bradford & Kent thoroughly investigated the situation, resolving the underlying issues and replacing the window. Their communication was consistent and clear, their scheduling and punctuality were top-notch and their installers were skilled and cleaned up after themselves after the installation was complete. Overall, they did a great job on this project. I will be using them again in the future.

Description Of Work:Our first interaction was a complete kitchen remodel including all the floors on our first floor and creating a new room out of an extra hallway. This was about 3 months long. The most recent interaction was converting a room into an office. This was just over a week, plus time to wrap up.Up front details about B&KThey do NOT allow any employees or sub-contractors smoke on premises, very nice!They were nearly always early, very punctual.We had such good luck with our first project we used them again.Both designers we worked with did a great job.When there are issues with any work they did, they come back out and fix it. If it is an emergency, they take care of it.They dont do the painting. But they recommended someone to do that, and that guy was awesome too.Project 1During the kitchen remodel there were issues that popped up with at least 5-10 different things, but the supervisor from B&K always got everything resolved. Any large project will have issues but how those issues are handled are what make the difference between mediocre and great service.This project consisted of a slew of electrical work, ripping out and entire existing kitchen and flooring in 4 rooms, putting up walls where an extra hallway existed. Creating a new laundry room, new mudroom, new wood flooring, new appliances and a new staircase, uncarpeted to match the new wood floors.I want to focus on the new cabinets we put in the kitchen. The person they had working on installing the cabinets was meticulous. At first I was a little taken aback by the lack of progress with the cabinets getting installed, but after some substantial portions getting knocked out, my concerns were completely and utterly erased. I have never seen someone install cabinets so well and so perfect. I mean, PERFECT! This dude not only knew what he was doing, but at one point, he was explaining to my wife and I that it had been taking him a little longer than normal because of a couple locations for how they came together and he wanted to make sure there were exact or else we, and everyone would notice. He was so right.One major issue we had was with our new range. The stove top wasnt working. Clearly not a fault of B&K, but they got the manufacturer to get it fixed in a timely manner instead of me having to deal with it. As a matter of fact, I think our supervisor was more upset about the issue and resolution process with the manufacturer than I was.There was an issue having an improperly sized cabinet ordered and they took care of it swiftly. When the new counter tops came in with the wrong nosing, they solved it and rectified the issue.All in all, it took probably about 3 weeks extra time to completely wrap up the project because of the combined time delay from the issues. Again, to reiterate, how mistakes are handled is really the name of the game. No home project will ever go perfect. Having B&K do this project was excellent.About 1 year after this project was complete we had some grout cracking between the counter top and the tile on the wall, they came out, ripped out the old grout and regrouted.Project 2The office project was fast. Demolition took just about a day. Electrical took about a day. The new flooring took less than a day. and the cabinets and desk got installed in about 2-3 days. After that the office was trimmed. The cabinet company shipped a door that was the wrong style, so we had to wait for a new door to show up, but in about 1 week the project was 90% done. The last 10% took about a month to finish, but mostly due to my own schedule and availability to be home to show what needed to be taken care and to let them in. The office was completely useable by the end of the 2nd week.

We will definitely use them again if the need should arise.

A few years ago, we had Bradford and Kent put an addition onto our home (basically an in-law suite with full basement). The job was done professionally and the results were everything we wanted. All problems (most of which were minor) were handled as soon as they were brought to their attention. In fact, even though its been a few years, they are coming back to fix a small issue with the grading under the air conditioning units. We would recommend B&K highly.10/29/16--We had a minor problem with a circuit breaker. Richard Hough, who was the Service Manager on our addition, came out himself to fix the issue, even though it has been years since the addition has been finished. Richard is someone who cares about making sure the job is done right.

Several (17?) years ago Bradford and Kent remodeled our kitchen and 1st floor bathroom for our home here in Elmhurst. We were most pleased with their work at the time and still like the beautiful cabinetry they installed. However, over the years a plastic part for the door hinges starting breaking. Finally I recently (December 2016) contacted B&K to see if we could get replacement parts for those hinges. Richard responded in a timely manner and indicated that they could and would get the replacement parts we needed--and at no charge to us. We are pleased with the post construction services provided by Richard H. who heads the Service Department at Bradford & Kent. At this point ,we are finished with all of those issues and will only need to contact the service department for any problems that surface within the 5 year warranty period. Richard was very responsive and followed through on all issues As an example, we had a problem with our oven wherein it was heating up the cabinetry around it and not venting properly. Richard analyzed the situation by using a laser temperature gauge to measure the heat around the oven and agreed that it was unacceptable. He had the factory service person come to fix the problem. When the issue was not satisfactorily resolved, he also worked with Grand Appliance (where we purchased the oven) toward a resolution which was determined to be a venting part for the flat installation of the oven, was missing. Once the part arrived, he installed it himself. He supervised what his staff did and ensured that we were satisfied on all issues.

When I called Bradford & Kent, I told them we wanted to completely to change the look of our home to be more updated and modern. From the beginning to the end, they proved their professionalism and competence in being able to handle the size of this job and their ability to deliver an amazing product. We had work done on all 3 floors of the home – main floor complete gut kitchen rehab, remove carpeting and weave in new hardwood with the old hardwood (sand and refinish all), redo all the stairs, put up a stone wall in the dining room; wood paneling on walls going down to the basement, basement bar and flooring; and master shower gut rehab. Greg, our designer, took in our idea of beauty and gave us a truly unique kitchen design with small thoughtful touches that deliver a big impact. It’s the small touches that differentiate B&K from the others. You will end up with a ‘Wow!’ outcome. Our designer team of Greg, Sarah and Annie helped us tremendously in choosing the materials and ensuring that everything was strikingly elegant, as we wished. We love to spend time in our kitchen now and cooking is pure joy. Our construction manager Brian was phenomenal. He was patient, knowledgeable and answered questions so that we always felt informed of not only what was happening, but why it was being handled in that manner. He also ensured that every small concern was addressed and fixed. When our countertop was delayed more than the predicted time, he wove his magic and the company from NC actually drove the countertop up to us in Naperville IL. He ensured that things were up to B&K’s standards and flaws were absolutely unacceptable. With a project this size, mistakes are bound to happen and things invariably go wrong. But they ensured that everything was taken care of and ‘made right’. And unlike some of our other friends who have also undertaken a remodeling project, B&K finished on time, as promised. Their team of trades people were artists in their own domain. Very particular about their work, professional, respectful, courteous and friendly. We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. They aggressively worked to finish up the final punch list items after our baby arrived in December. We would recommend them.

My wife and I in Downers Gove used Bradford and Kent for out Exterior Remodeling project. We decided to add a front door portico to our house as well as replace our double front entry doors and add some window accent pieces. Throughout the whole process, the team at B&K was easy to get ahold of and speak with. We told them what we wanted and the look we were going for and they came up with a computer design and were able to show it to us so we could get a great idea of what we were getting. It made it easy to change things on the fly. They took care of dealing with the village for all the permits needed and were on time with their projected start date, The Workers were clean, generous, and skilled in their craft. Sure they were expensive but in my opinion, you get what you pay for and when you doing work to the exterior of your house, you want it to look great. There project comes with a warrantee and satisfaction guarantee. Looking forward to working with them again in the future.

Carrie Gallo from Bradford and Kent was a pleasure to work with on our recent kitchen remodel. We were very anxious as this was our first experience doing a remodel. What distinguished Carrie and Bradford and Kent from other companies we consulted with and considered for our project was that Carrie truly listened to what we wanted and took into consideration what our short and long term goals were as well as financial considerations. During every step of the pre-construction, actual construction, and post-construction process, Carrie was very knowledgeable and attentive to any questions and concerns we had. She was available and responded promptly to inquiries and was able to get us the answers we needed and alleviate any problem issues.I am a visual person, so my husband and I found it very helpful that Carrie provided a three dimensional presentation of her design plans for our kitchen as well as the traditional 2-D architectural drawings. It allowed us to visualize what our kitchen would look like when our project was completed, which was exciting and motivating.Choosing kitchen cabinet styles, backsplash tiles, countertops, appliances, and cabinet hardware can be fun but overwhelming. When you are spending a lot of money on a remodel, you want to be sure you are making the right choices and that everything will look good together and not be so trendy that it will be out of style in a year or two. Carrie made the selection process enjoyable and much less stressful by patiently walking us through it step by step and in smaller phases, guiding us in choosing colors and styles that fit our tastes, lifestyle, and budget. She came with us to choose the tile, granite, and light fixtures. She consulted with us to make recommendations on appliances and for paint colors for the walls in our kitchen and adjoining living spaces. We wanted an updated, more functional kitchen with clean lines in a transitional style. She never steered us wrong and we are thrilled with the end result. We have received so many compliments from our family and friends on our new kitchen. It is a joy to cook and entertain in a kitchen we can be proud of.We would definitely recommend Carrie Gallo and Bradford and Kent. She was a pleasure to work with because she develops a relationship with her clients and really takes the time to listen to them about what they want and get to know them as people as well as customers. She is a talented designer who has a critical eye for what goes together and how that will work with her clients taste and lifestyle. We really cannot say enough positive things about how well Carrie Gallo does her job and how she makes the remodeling process easier on her clients with a beautiful end result.
