We used more than a dozen contractors for our new house, but the best decision we made was hiring Tony Cerrito, The House Carpenter. We asked him to take on a job no one else would - refurbish and install antique doors from the early 1900s into our brand new house. Both doors had arches on the top so the wall needed to be cut to fit. He created custom molding to fit around the doors as well as gave advice on stylistic decisions around how the doors would hang. There are very few people in this industry that still take pride in their work and Tony is one of the greats...he is an artist, plain and simple. Hes also a genuinely nice guy and we are glad to now call him a friend. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! -

Tony has done multiple projects at our house. There is nobody better at his craft than Tony. The latest edition is this wonderful liquor cabinet that he was able to build and customize in a very tight corner area of our morning room. From the build, to the staining of the wood, to the hardware, it was everything we wanted. I cant wait to call Tony with another project in the future. -

Tony is truly the BEST! His attention to detail and hands-on work was crucial to our design. We brought him in to reframe some windows and he did an amazing job. We will be bringing him in for more work when needed. He is a very nice person and unlike any contractor I have met. I would recommend him to anyone looking for carpentry services. 100 Stars, 10/10!! -

Tony is incredible and his work is impeccable. We had the pleasure of hiring Tony to do a partial board and batten wall as well as some crown molding. Not only was he incredibly professional, communicative, and always on time, he was a great guy to just have a chat with as well. Weve already asked for quotes on additional projects from him and know weve found someone well always go to with our carpentry needs. -

Tony is amazing. Our stair landing was sagging - we had all types of recommendations, including a full stair renovation which would not only have been exceedingly costly but compromise the historical integrity of our 1893 home. Tony came in and first did a thorough assessment to ascertain whether he could in fact perform a repair. Then, he took initiative to test the jacking, again, before committing to the work. His thoughtfulness through all of that was so appreciated.Over the course of a couple of weeks, he spent many hours both in his shop and in our home designing, crafting and installing a beautiful post that perfectly matched the rest of the staircase. It was truly masterful that he was able to achieve such an ideal result with no disruption to our home. His expert eye and workmanship were so appreciated. We will absolutely turn to him to continue to improve items in our home, knowing both their preservation and final appearance will be impeccable. -

Tony did a great job retro-fitting a new door slab with our existing door frame. Very reasonable and also very neat and precise carpentry! He came back two weeks later to install the new storm door that needed a header. -

Tonys attention to detail and knowledge of woodworking really shows through in his work. He build an entry way storage unit for us and he worked through all of the difficult details and existing conditions to create a much needed place to drop coats and shoes on the way into the house.
