Robert and his team were fantastic - had them replace my dead tank water heater with tankless, and install a filtration system. They were thorough but quick, and were fantastic about explaining everything that was being done, and more importantly, making sure I understood necessary maintenance and upkeep. Friendly, knowledgeable, and left work area cleaner than when they got here 10/10!!!

Update Oct 2024:We had a small leak from our water heater pressure valve and John and Robert from Fords came out to fix it. The parts they did under Warranty and the labor was reasonable. They were quick, clean, very respectful, very demure. Still happy with Fords, still recommend them.--2022:Ford’s has fair prices that every service person has in a book for a stress free no haggle approach. They have been very effective and professional in fixing my plumbing issues and I have used them several times.

Highly recommended.If you are looking for the absolute cheapest plumber in Los Angeles, you can stop reading here. But I imagine if you are a homeowner, “cheap” isn’t your top priority. I imagine you’d rather pay a small premium to have the job done right by true professionals.For us it was someone who – first and foremost – did fantastic work and treated the job as if they were working on their own home. And we got that from Ford’s.When we moved into our house, we knew there was a mishmash of piping underneath. Galvanized mixed with copper supply lines, and ABS mixed with cast iron and clay sewer lines.Finally after several backups in our drain (that cost $250 each to clear), as well as massively reduced water pressure (and our fixtures getting clogged and ruined) due to the galvanized corrosion, we knew we had to basically re-plumb our whole house. It was a major job.While some people that came out to give an estimate didn’t even crawl under the home, Luis (who came out for the original bid) climbed under and took photos and measurements. Then Robert the owner came back and worked with us for over an hour to create a comprehensive plan that not only fixed our current issues but planned ahead for future upgrades that we want to do to our house, which include moving the kitchen to the rear of the house, and adding a bathroom. We also added a whole-house water treatment system, added a pressure regulator at the street, and epoxy-lined the sewer drain all the way out to the street connection.Robert and his team were nice people, great communicators, easy to work with, honest, and fair.Upon completion of the water supply line replacement, they also went through every fixture in the house to make sure they all were working properly, and they didn’t leave until everything was right. They even stayed late on the 6th day of work (a weekend) to finish the job so we could take shower that night. It was much appreciated.Their time estimate was also accurate. They said 8 days and it took 8 days.It was great to be able to trust the people working on our house to do it the right way and it was reassuring to have the same people that came out to give the estimates be the same ones doing the work (too many places have a great salesman come out to give the bid, and then send some random person back to do the work).We still have to replace our hot water heater and add some piping when we remodel our kitchen — and we’ll definitely be giving Robert and Ford’s plumbing a call for that job.

Fords is one of the best plumbers out there. We have had them over the past 7 years redo most of house water and gas lines. Kuods to them because getting under our house, let alone working under it is a near military exercise. They have always done stellar work, and been total pros. They also tend to come out very fast. Johnnie and Luis recently came out for a for a fairly complex problem on the same day we called. Realizing the city needed to be involved, they along with Haley in the Fords office they helped walk us through the process before they could do the work. Cant recommend them more highly in an era where everyone seems to do shoddy work and phone it in.

This was the BEST plumbing experience weve ever had. My mom is 93 years old and oft times some companies will take advantage by charging sinfully high prices. Not so with Ford Plumbing. Jorge and Luis are TOP NOTCH, professional and polite. In comparison to other companies Ford is full of integrity! Jorge explained the work every step of the way and showed us the bad piping they removed to back up the diagnosis. I am so glad and relieved I found this company and for the excellent reviews others provided sharing similar sentiments. Santiago put the right men on the job for us. Thank you Ford Plumbing. HUGE THANK YOU to Fords Plumbing, and in particular, the technician who helped us out, Luis!!! I called Fords in the evening because the pilot light went out in my moms house after the earthquake gas valve tripped and we couldnt relight it ourselves. To complicate matters, Im stuck quarantining with a Covid infection, and Luis was kind enough to call my bf who was on site to help try to verbally walk him through a self-fix as an alternative to charging us for a visit. This is true customer service and hands down, Fords Plumbing will be our go-to for any future needs. Thank you, Luis. You are much appreciated!

I called Ford’s Plumbing on a Saturday evening at 6:00PM. Santiago came out very quickly and the issue was completely resolved by 7:00pm. He was friendly, efficient, and communicated the costs of service upfront. Very thankful for his help. It was a bit expensive, but 100% worth it.

We recently needed help with replacement of the main sewer line and some additional drain lines. Santiago, George, and Paul from Fords Plumbing did a great job with a situation that obviously comes with a certain degree of messiness, inconvenience, and uncertainty. We thought that they were clear, up-front, communicative, and sensible with their assessments of the situation and recommendations based on the information presented to them, both as the job started and as it evolved. They made sure to share photos and video to support their diagnosis as well as point out the damage to the old pipes as they were dug up. I appreciated the dedication and extra effort they put into closing up the job as quickly as possible, especially toward its end. I also appreciated that they and the main office were punctual and responsive, as well as polite and respectful with my family members, throughout the process. So far, we have not observed any lingering issues. Overall, we were very happy with their support.

We have used Ford plumbing for years and have always happy with their work. Recently our very old water heater went out. We called and Santi came out. He was terrific! He assessed the situation and knew exactly what we needed. He determined he could replace the old one with the same manufacturer and size. He immediately made sure we were taken care of and the next day we had a new water heater.The installation went perfectly. Dino and Johnny along with Santi were wonderful. I hardly knew they were there. They were respectable, friendly, professional and did a beautiful job. They even hauled away our old water heater. About a week ago I began to smell what seemed to be natural gas in my backyard. I found Fords plumbing on Google and set up an appointment with them. They came out the same day. Let me say this, Im big on customer service and Fords is top notch. From Sarah on the phone to Rileys professionalism and understanding of our situation and stress level. If I could give their plumbers 6 stars I would. Jorge and Milton where awesome. My wife is germophobe and has an issue with people coming in and out of our house. Both Jorge and Milton did a great job of being understanding but they also did their best to keep their voices down while they worked under our house (digging there way under due to a 10in crawlspace) due to her working from home.There price was very reasonable. I had 3 other companies come out and they gave us the best price for the amount of work needed. Cant recommend them enough. Thank you guys.

Two workers for Ford’s Plumbing, Martin and Israel, replaced all the gas pipes under our house—which was built in 1924, and the pipes were rusty, pitted, and leaking gas. It was a very tough job, because there us hardly any space under the house. But they worked diligently at it for about a week, and it has passed inspection. Everything is working well, and we feel much safer. The two workers were informative, helpful, and friendly throughout the job, and it was a pleasure to have them here.

I had to have the main gas line replaced. Riley was the tech on site and who gave me the estimate. A bit of sticker shock. However, with the scope of the project, I realized the price was fair. The guys were here everyday on time, worked hard, took care not to mess the yard up beyond the 80 foot trench and when they were done and the inspector came, Paul came out to fill the trench back in. Paul was very professional and conscientious about making everything just as it was before. Everyone was nice. Elyse and Aracely in the office were very nice and made sure all my problems were followed up on and addressed. I would definitely recommend Fords Plumbing to anyone in search of good service. For what its worth, I found them on Angies List where I also found a roofer who Im equally pleased with.

Our toilet stopped flushing. They fixed the problem but said to call if it happened again. It did the next day and they were so kind on the phone. They came back out that same day and fixed the problem (hopefully for good) at no additional cost. I recommend them!

I give my thanks to Santiago and his team of Dino and Johnny. These guys braved the underworld that I dare not breach, and they discovered and exorcised the fear I felt to be true.What I thought was going to be simple snake whipping due to some careless grease handling ultimately uncovered the true health of the house, and the outlook was severe. I was told of a whole host of issues that went well beyond my initial reason for calling. I didnt completely understand it at the time, but when Santiago runs a high powered snake through the lines, then comes back with a commercial grade snake and still cant make it all the way through the system, paramedics were needed. Enter Dino and Johnny. After a careful tag team mapping of the landscape, a medical plan was set and supplies needed to be gathered.On the next day, I wished them luck on their underground adventure. Come to find out that if this house was a person, it would have been in cardiac arrest ten times over. These guys cut and sliced and chopped whole extensions of pipe that had been encrusted what I can only describe as gutter cheese. At one point, I went out to check on them as I heard some discussion. Admittedly, I felt a bit underdressed in my Hawaiian shirt and shorts while these guys were in full body onesies and gas masks. They were fine, and I let the pros do what they do. The pipe transplant took a whole days work, and in the end, Im back to being able to do those simple things that I take for granted that are so important in daily life. When water starts filling your sink while using the washing machine, one cannot help but to freak out.The task at hand looked to be the result of deterioration and build up over time, and no amount of baking soda and vinegar was going to clear that mess.Was it expensive? Yes. It ended up becoming a major project.Was it overpriced? Absolutely not. It was worth every penny.Hats off to team SDJ. You guys saved my sanity. Another gem of Culver City.

Scotty came and provided a quote promptly in the appointment time window. I let him know I had taken the day off from work and asked if the work could be completed same day. He consulted with his team at the office and they made it all work out. I also asked Scotty a bunch of plumbing questions and he graciously answered all of them. I called back after he left when I noticed a possible leak and he returned promptly. Turns out we also need to replace some other parts unrelated to his work. Thank you Scotty and Fords for making this first experience great.

Fords Plumbing saved us!! We called after we discovered a gas leak on a Friday night and the Gas Company had shut off the gas for our safety. Fords sent Scotty over first thing Saturday, and he discovered several leaks in our 1930s homes original pipes -- terrifying! We have a one-year-old, and after the gas was shut off, we had no hot water, stove access, or heat, among other things. Despite having other scheduled calls to work around, Scotty spent almost 11 hours on one day trying to get us up and running, and returned to work 5 hours the next day, making sure everything was fixed and sealed up tight. He adjusted/re-worked several connections that our original plumber had done badly. And did everything he could to help make the fees affordable for us, when the project ended being much bigger than originally expected.Scotty really knows his stuff, and he explained everything he was doing so we understood the issues. He even called us the next day to make sure the Gas Company had turned our gas back on, and that everything was OK. He went above and beyond, and we highly recommend Fords and Scotty!
