    Yesterday our furnace stopped working, and after calling Chapman Brothers I received an immediate response.     Let us preface our review by saying we have an older home which had very specific needs and limited space to work with. It should also be noted that all of these projects needed to be precisely timed around a concurrent foundation repair (I-beams encased in concrete being placed along all of the walls in our basement).Over this past year, Chapman Brothers completed dozens of repairs, including:-conversion from oil to gas heat (steam oil boiler to gas combi unit - all in one boiler/water heater)-oil tank/water heater removal-steam pipe removal along all walls in the basement-removal of steam pipes and conversion to pex water lines to all radiators throughout our home-complete air conditioner/condenser replacement/associated electrical work-sewer line replacement-2 sump pump replacements (1 with complete battery back up system and pipe repair)-lots of plumbing work...and I probably forgot a thing or two...Reliability, communication and punctuality were key to working alongside the foundation repair company, gas company, water company and town - all while allowing us to keep our sanity through such a big repair. The concurrent foundation repair made this a complicated and unique project to begin with, and our living in the home with a 1.5yr old while all this was going on just made it that much more interesting. For example, most of the plumbing needed to be temporarily installed before putting in the final piping, so we could live in our home while this all went on.Chapman went out of their way to make this happen with no interruptions in gas/water/waste removal service. Also, ultimately all the plumbing/gas lines needed to be run around or over the i-beams placed along the walls-but neatly-so we didnā€™t waste too much space because we were refinishing the basement again. Some work needed to be slightly altered and redone after we hit some ā€œbumps in the roadā€ with our other repairs. Annoying but true, and without hesitation or complaint, Chapman redid the things we needed redone. We had a 1.5yr old running around and they worked around and humored him every chance they had.Needless to say, there were a lot of factors that made our project anything but easy for anyone. But Bill, Tom and team did everything they could make all of this as easy as possible. They were thorough, organized, productive, clean, punctual, patient, reasonable, flexible, and most importantly honest and kind. Their attention to detail still impresses us. Who knew plumbing could be so clean and organized?!The clever ways the guys found to work with what we had with was impressive / in-and-of itself. Further, these guys didnā€™t come in here trying to sell any fancy fixes or promise us the world. They came with obvious years of experience and, frankly, just helped us make everything work the best way it could for us and our specific situation. Thereā€™s something to be said about having a job done correctly, but itā€™s something totally different being able to say you had it done right the first time (Any homeowner who has had subpar work done knows exactly what I mean by this.). Bill and his team became a huge part of our lives over this past year and we respect them and their work more than we can say.These guys had countless hours of work ahead of them yet never hesitated to stop and answer a question we had or offer a suggestion on a way to make our project work better and within our budget. They were punctual, used their time wisely and productively, yet didnā€™t rush in and out carelessly. What I think is even more important to emphasize is that I can honestly say I trust chapman brothers. As a homeowner I would typically feel vulnerable saying that about a contractor, but not for a second when it comes to Chapman. They are good, honest people who show absolute pride and craftsmanship in their work.Needless to say, my family and I will be lifetime clients of chapman brothers and will continue to refer them to everyone we know.

    I have enjoyed being a part of Chapman Bros ā€œComfort Clubā€. You join the ā€œClubā€ hoping that you never have to use it and when you do need the services that they deliver as promised. This winter Chapman has delivered as promised. Our back room lost heat on Sunday night. I tried to reset the thermostat on my own to see if that may kick start the system. In the morning I checked and the room was still not heating. I called Chapman at 8am Monday morning, they arrived at 9:30am, analyzed the problem (broken pump), provided us with their ā€œStraightForward Pricingā€ (which was also provided to me when I joined the ā€œComfort Clubā€) and the problem was resolved by 10:30am. Technician was great and everything was clean.Thank you Chapman Brothers for delivering as promised. I hope I donā€™t have to see you all anytime soon!!!!     I have been a customer of Chapman Brothers for more than 15 years and they have always been very responsive. Last week my furnace went off line during the night.     Juan came out in 45 minutes after we placed an urgent call to Chapman Bros that our AC wasnā€™t working after normal business hours on a Saturday evening. He quickly diagnosed the issue, explained it to me thoroughly, and made the appropriate part replacements smoothly to get our condenser unit working again without having us have to make a total condenser replacement.     I called Chapman because I had no heat on Friday February 3, 2023. The technician that called me back told me he would be there in 30 minutes, to my suprise he was there in 29 minutes. I have used Chapman plumbing and heating before, and I can tell you from experience that they are very reliable, and it didnt cost me another mortgage. Very reasonably priced. A very good company.     I had Chapman Bros. Replace a 4 inch cast iron pipe that cracked from the basement up to the first floor by using PVC pipe. It connected to 2 bath tubs, 2 toilets and 4 drains. The repair person was one of the elderly owners. He did an excellent job at a reasonable price. Not only do I recommend this plumbing company, I would definitely use them again.

    These guys are great! Our initial call was answered promptly and the day of the inspection came quickly and went smoothly with Tom confirming the technicians initial analysis of the broken furnace. The visits were timely and professional. We were given an estimate and a rapid repair date even though it was a holiday weekend (New Years). The crew showed up (including the owner, Tom) at 7:30 am and they were done by 1 pm as promised even though I asked for a new thermostat at the last minute. Amazing same-day job by skilled plumbers and the final cost was the exact estimate, so there were no unwelcome surprises. They left the place cleaner than it was! Tom provided courteous service which is a rare find these days! Cant rave enough about them. Highly recommend them and will hire them again when needed.

    My AO Smith gas water heater finally went out (tank was leaking) after 10 years, so called Chapman Bros., and they were able to come out the same day for a quote and replacement. Nick and Juan showed up, they were quick, professional, and looked like they did their best to make sure that I was satisfied. After some research online and Chapmans confirmation, I went with a Bradford White as theyre probably the best choice for gas water heaters.

    My boiler of over 49 years decided to retire during the coldest week in January, when during the day we were lucky if it got into the mid 30s and a night in the teens. Of course now inside the house was like a freezer.I contacted the Chapman Bros. A technician came out to my house the same day that I called to assess the situation and determined that the boiler must be replaced. That same day Tom came by to determine what supplies he would did to complete the install. They next morning Tom and his assistant were at my house bright and early, and shortly after mid-day they were done. An outstanding professionally done job! The office staff was extremely helpful as well.Everyone that I interacted with at Chapman Bros understood the urgency of the moment and responded as true professionals.     Chapman Bros. came out to replace my boiler right after Hurricane Ida. Two day job to remove the old boiler and install a new one; Tom and crew were very professional, clean, and did a fantastic job. They were also priced very competitively.I had some issues with the smart thermostats in the house afterwards that I couldnt resolve alone, and they sent out technicians several times with no charge. Very easy to work with and very fair, would 100% recommend!

    Shower plugged up on saturday morning and we needed it cleared. The big worry was getting someone to come in and fix it or spend the weekend without baths.Chapman sent a technician within two hours of my call and took care of the problem. They might not be the cheapest but you cant beat that kind of service. Its not the first time they have gotten us out of a plumbing jam. We been customers for twenty plus years and we trust them completely when it comes to heating, plumbing and air conditioning.

    Chapman Brothers have been a lifesaver for us. Our furnace gave out in peak summer and we knew we had time before we needed to install it for winter so we got quotes from a bunch of contractors. Chapman Brothers were not the cheapest but the knowledge and experience that Tom brought was second to none. As luck would have it, we ended up needing to do the installation much earlier because of an upcoming new arrival in the family. Tom and his team were amazing - drop cloths everywhere and tidied up the place after. A couple of days after installation, the new machine turned off. Quick text message to Tom and he turned up in less than 10 minutes to follow up. He dropped by on consecutive days, always messaging before just to check up and make sure everything was working. Weve had a couple of technicians over since then for various items and theyve all been on time, courteous and professional. They explain what the issue is clearly. We are so glad to have found these guys and they are on speed dial for any of our plumbing and heating issues! Thank you Tom and team!

    Anthony from chapman brothers plumbing came right on time and solved exactly where my pipe burst, he showed me how precious plumberbadly repaired then down a solid two hours soldering on a new pipe much stronger than faulty clamps previous plumber used, showed me in the future the two levers i have to adjust to prevent pipe from bursting next winter$300 which included $89 initial visit and diagnosisseemed fair, all plumbers are costly but i donā€™t care when the job was done right!chapman was highly recommended by my daughter whoā€™s used them for years and recently they replaced all thir plumbing for their remodeled bathroomnext time we need plumbing will definitely call Chapman

    Absolutely fantastic experience! Had my hot water heater replaced on an emergency appointment. I was shocked by the fair price and quick service they provided with a permit from the town!!!     I contacted Chapman Brothers when my furnace broke down the day after the January 16 snow storm. Tom, one of the owners, was at my door within an hour. He was able to get the furnace running temporarily and had one of his workers (with parts)at my home early the next morning. Both these guys knew exactly what they were doing. I have read some reviews claiming they are not the cheapest.. well... let me say this.. they changed the same part that I had changed 5 years ago by the company that serviced my unit semi annually... and Chapman Brothers price was LESS then I paid 5 years ago...     At this point it feels like I have had Chapman work on everything in my house except the pipes themselves. I mention this because over the last 18 months I have had them replace 2 Furnances, 2 AC units, 1 Water heater and help to diagnose a leak and fix the issue (toilet flange that settled and opened up a gap in the floor).I have gone back to Chapman Brothers time after time because they are professional, their office staff is friendly and informative and their plumbers are personable, thorough and do high quality work. There are probably companies that you can get to do a cheaper job of it but it will cost you more in the end, what you are paying for is a company that is well run, well staffed and so far as I can tell stands behind their work.Glad to find there are still companies that do business like this.

    Service call was yesterday. Tech was extremely knowledgeable. He was concerned about oil in ac overflow pan, good news is it must have been from old system so no extra charge there. I also thought I needed to reinstall a toilet because it was loose on the floor. Tech told me he could do it, but really all I needed was to shim it and caulk it. This was easy so I said I would do it myself. It is rare to find a company that is so honest and trustworthy. They are not looking to just make extra money by tacking on jobs. Today I called Chapman to install a Flo by Moen web enabled leak detector, their honesty earned them more business from me!

    Our home is almost 100 years old, which means we needed to hire the perfect company to add central air. Tom and his team at Chapman Bros. Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning were fantastic.     John from Chapman came to descale my tankless water heater. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and overall extremely pleasant to deal with. He did what he needed to in an efficient amount of time. They were also half the price of the plumber that I had originally used to fix my system last year.

    The responding plumbers/technicians did not stop troubleshooting the error code we intermittently get with our Noritz tankless water heater until they were able to identify a probable solution. We also had them flush and do maintenance on our tankless water heater. This not only cleaned it thoroughly but also seemed to have addressed the hammering that arose after the initial 2 visits. The last servicing technician encouraged us to call them back if any of the problems recur. They came back a total of 3 visits to address our issues.

    I have used Chapman Brothers for my plumbing needs for many years and I have always liked their professional service and staff. However, today I am annoyed at one thing that happen during a service call. Every year I have them out to either service my AC or furnace to make sure they are in proper working order. Before the service call I went to their web site and downloaded their $25.00 off coupon for any service. The technician did an excellent job in cleaning our my AC system and making sure the compressor, etc. was in good working order . However when it was time to pay the bill he called the office to determine if my coupon could be used. That is when he said that the coupon could not be used because this is not a service call it is a maintenance call. I dont know about other home owners but when I call a professional to come to my house to work on whatever in the house I consider that a service call. I think the Chapman Brothers coupon is very misleading as written and should be corrected so that other customers are not fooled by this word play.

    My sump pump stopped working on a day of a storm. Called and within 20 mins I had a call back from the plumber and he talked me through how to run the pump manually until they could replace it later that morning. Great job and a much more efficient pump was installed.
