Sean came to our home today to give us an estimate on running 220 to switch from gas to an electric range. He was outstanding. He gave us all the pros and cons. He didn’t try to talk us into anything. I am very impressed with his honesty. I have found my electrician.

This is a tale of two techs. On Wednesday, I’d called an electrical repair company (whose name I won’t mention) because a secondary circuit in my home had gone AWOL, leaving much of my house in the dark. The electrician from that first company was friendly. He spent about 5 minutes determining that my breakers were not the culprit. Then he spent the next two hours describing all the horrible and expensive consequences if I did not replace all the breakers, rehab the electrical panel and rewire the house for around $8,000. At the end of that upselling conversation, he announced that he did not have time to locate the faulty outlet, but that he would return the following week to repair the problem. He provided an offhand estimate of $400.After he left, I called Duke Electric. They promised to have a tech arrive at my doorstep at my preferred time…9:30am the following day. Precisely at 9:30, Darryn, from Duke Electric, greeted me. I described the issue and thereafter, it took him the better part of 15 seconds to identify the faulty outlet responsible for my electrical woes. It required less than ten minutes to repair the outlet with equipment he had on hand. The entire bill was $175.I, then, telephoned the company I’d initially contacted to cancel that next week’s appointment. They charged $89. for the prior day’s visit.Wednesday was the worst of days. Thursday was the best of days.

Called Duke Electric with a few electrical issues. We had procrastinated for some time in fear of cost and time. Sean came out same day, and the cost was extremely reasonable. We have found a fair and dependable electrician and would highly recommend.

I initially called Duke Electric to install celling fans throughout my home. As it turned out, when the builders built this home, they had some funky wiring issues. Sean took care of it at no extra cost to me. On top of this, one of my fans had a defective part. Sean called the manufacture and had the part delivered to my home 2 days later. When the part came in, I called Sean & he was at my home within 20 minutes to fix the problem (he was in the neighborhood). Duke Electric is a family owned business. (Duke is his grandfather.) Sean takes pride in his work & ensures that his clients are 100% satisfied with the work hes providing them. I will recommend him to friends & family as well as hire him for future work around my home.

Part of my house lost power. I called Duke Electric and they responded on time. Sean is very knowledgeable and patiently trouble shoot my electrical issues with his two guys, Darren and Ludwig. The charges are very reasonable for the amount of time and effort they did to fix it. The power is now back on! I’m very happy and relieved. I will definitely recommend Duke Electric.

I called Duke Electric out for a second opinion after another electrical company came out and charged me $538.00 to change two breakers and said I need the entire panel replace for another $5,300.00. Shawn from Duke Electrical was at my property within 20 minutes and checked the panel. It turns out that I do not need a new panel. I am so very THANKFUL for his help and honesty.

Came out on short notice. Another electrician told me I needed completely new wiring to keep a breaker from tripping. Sean said all I needed was to replace the breaker - he did so and got our AC up and running again in no time at all.

First let me tell you it was my first time calling on Duke Electric. I came across the business on the internet while looking for help after hours. I read the reviews and decided to give him a call. I told him the problem and right away he had me text pictures and helped me every which way he could. Mind you he didnt have to answer. Thanks again for your help. Youve earned my business in the future and anyone else that might need your service.

As a home owner you learn real quick how expensive repairs can become and how hard it is to find experienced and knowledgable people to do it. I have learned to do a lot of my own repairs but some things I have to put my hands up and say no. When my husband and I wanted to change out my daughter light switch to a dimmer it should have been a piece of cake. I knew the last person to work on the switch did some funky stuff so I said call someone. Sean was at my house within an hour. He had it sorted and everything back within 30 min. When we ran into snag with the light bulb he helped my husband figure it out. Then told us he could come back if the bulb we got did not work. He went above and beyond. He was nice, clean and professional. The price was reasonable. Definitely worth the call. Well be using again.

We had Sean out on two occasions. The first time he installed a chandelier and the second time, he installed new LED lights and pendant lights. Well be calling him again to finish retrofitting all the CFL can lights to LED lights. He was fast, courteous and professional. We are extremely pleased with the jobs, and I highly recommend him. He is a licensed electrician unlike many who receive recommendations on other sites.
