I contacted EV Decks & Gazebos off of their Google reviews and Im very glad that I did as they were exactly what I was looking for. Stephen was very professional with his phone calls and personal meetings. They went out of their way to meet with us in person more than once to make sure they knew exactly what we imagined and work out details. We had multiple images we were working with, merging different ideas from different builds. Showed Stephen & Esteban photos and they were able to make my idea come to life. They built us a deck with pergola style roof and I wanted my deck screened in to keep out bugs, but also have a pony/knee wall to keep my dog from damaging screens. They were able to do it ALL and everything came out exactly like I imagined it would. Fully screened, beautiful deck, with a small enclosed wall, patio door, with an extension deck outside of the screened area. Lucky for me, my project was small enough for Father & Son(s) to complete the work themselves, which is exactly what I wanted!! No GC, no subcontracting, just hands on, great carpentry just like my dad used to do! Highly recommend and will be using them again for more projects in the future. Wow, EV Decks and Gazebos is absolutely exceptional! I was in need of a tear down of an older existing gazebo with no idea of what kind of gazebo I wanted to replace it with. Esteban came through with his vision and incredible craftsmanship. From start to finish the process was seamless. I now have a beautiful new gazebo, two replaced outside decks, and the electrical for the gazebo. I even used him and his crew a second time to replace a rotted porch post, along with a few areas of rotted wood/siding. Overall, I could not be happier. This was the best experience weve ever had with a contractor. If we could give 10 stars, we would! From start to finish, Estafans communication was incredible. He responded immediately to our inquiry and had a quote within 48 hours. He was able to begin our project within 1 week due to a delay in another project, which was amazing since our existing pergola was about to collapse , seriously! The crew was ALWAYS on time, worked throughout each day, and had the entire demolition and reconstruction done in 2 1/2 days. Now, lets talk quality. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! We had a fairly large deck, approximately 450 sq ft that was in serious need of repair or replacement. It was about 15 years old. Called a number of deck contractors to come and give options and estimates. Decided to go with EV Decks. His estimate was reasonably priced and fit our needs. We are super happy with the results, then, and now, over a year and a half later. The new deck is even larger and incorporates a large pergola with corrugated polycarbonate, which gives shelter from the rain. It’s like having a whole new room to my house. Our family loves it. Esteban created a custom design that included an arbor, gazebo and trellis connected by a large deck. It was impressive — even on paper! The angles in the design perfectly complemented the back of our house and the placement of the structures nicely balanced the entire area. Esteban was willing to make minor adjustments to the design before we agreed on the final price.EV Decks & Gazebos made the overall process easy and provided a full-service solution. I cannot tell you how thrilled we are with Esteban’s work and his level of customer service. Admittedly, I’m a perfectionist and rarely do contractors, landscapers, etc. live up to my vision. Esteban, on the other hand, somehow managed to EXCEED my expectations. During our first meeting he sat at our kitchen table and spoke with us for well over an hour about the unique ideas we had for our backyard. We pulled up ideas on Pinterest, he made rough sketches and made sure we were all 100% on the same page about our vision. After the first meeting we absolutely knew he was the man for the job. Esteban put us on his schedule and within a couple weeks he was hard at work in our backyard. He showed up day after day at the same time until the project was completed even working in the pouring rain at times. In keeping with his “If you can dream it, we can build it” motto Esteban literally drove all over Houston gathering unique materials for our project. The end result was a gorgeous cedar fence and high quality cabana that I promise you was built every bit as sturdy as our own home. His attention to detail can’t be matched. All wood was cut evenly, every screw lined up perfectly, and the stain looked incredible. We are currently having a pool put in, but once that is complete we will have Esteban come back to do more projects for us. We were so thrilled with his work that we even asked if he ever did home remodeling (he doesn’t, but we had to ask!). We got estimates from other places that were too high or they didnt answer all of our questions (some places just said they would get back to us and never did). Esteban was very professional and answered all of our questions promptly. He returned all of our calls when we were not able to reach him. He did not pressure us to make our final decision and we did ultimately make the decision for them to build our deck. We are very happy with the results and my sister just hired him for a gazebo! Im a 20 year retired guy. As such, Ive had in my life many homes. And have used many contractors and builders. Esteban is, without question, one of the best - if not the best - Ive ever used. His pricing is fair, his work thorough, his attention to detail amazing. He and his crew work fast (including on Thanksgiving). Their teamwork is almost like an orchestrated dance team. Their final product, a 800 square foot deck, with arbor and swing, is impressive. They even stained the underside of the 4 benches. The overall job took almost 2 weeks. The entire under support structure was also rebuilt- posts, concrete footings, beams.I started a complete deck rebuild project with another contractor, based on a word of mouth recommendation. Something I should have been more deliberate about. The original price estimate kept increasing. But it was also apparent that this contractor lacked the skill to do the job I was expecting. I dismissed him, paying him slightly more than he requested for job termination. We parted with a handshake , both acknowledging that this job didnt work out, but it was water under the bridge.I called Esteban immediately after I decided to cut the cord with contractor #1. Esteban came to my house within 6 hours, on a Sunday, and gave me a bid the next day.In all my years of utilizing contractors, this is the first instance I have ever had to change contractors mid-stream.
