    It is hard to put into words how highly I recommend the entire team at Blythe Building for your new home construction. As 1st time home builders my husband and I had many questions and a few small hurdles to overcome as we started this process. Lee and his whole team were there for us every step of the way and sure we were informed, in the loop and answered the millions of questions we had. They also helped us navigate the challenges of building in the downtown Columbia area. On top of all the wonderful things about working with them they built a stunning high quality home we cant wait to spend many years in. If you are looking to build a home Blythe Building is in my opinion the best company out there for it.

    My husband and I were apprehensive about the process of planning for and building a new home, but Lee made the process smooth and enjoyable. He is honest, attentive and organized. He and Bobby made sure that each detail that we requested was taken care of and answered all of our questions and handled each of our concerns quickly. We are so happy with our beautiful new home and would highly recommend Blythe Building Company.

    When we relocated from Blythewood to Lexington we were looking for our forever home that would meet our needs in retirement and be close enough to our family and especially our granddaughters. We could not be more happy that our agent found Blythe Building Companies new construction home at 216 Clayborn Dr!!! Over the past 45 years of marriage my wife & I have very specific ideas of things we want in a home. Our search initially of the Lexington area only turned up homes that were 10-25 years old. As soon as we toured this home (that had just gone on the market that morning) my wife said I like everything about it And we bought it. I have been in real estate for the past 25 years and have seen the good, bad and ugly when it comes to construction. Immediatelly after entering the front door all I saw was quality construction. The finest of materials, appliances etc.were used. The floor plan works for us and our family. The open floor plan allows for large family dinners 15+ everyone has room. The construction manager, Joey is the best, always checking in to see if there is any kind of punch list items that may need to be addressed. Blythes slogan is Building on Truth, the truth is that Lee Blythe only uses the best craftsmen and that creates a excellent product. I will gladly recommend Blythe Building Company to anyone looking for a quality custom built home, a true 5 star experience!!!!

    This has truly been a great experience. Our home is beautiful and was done on time. Being able to trust Lee and Bobby to build the house we wanted and not being in this state most of the building process and still getting the house we wanted shows the quality and commitment of this company.     Going into a custom home build is very overwhelming. So many decisions along with hoping you will pick the right builder. Luckily, I went with Blythe Building Company. The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic. Lee was very upfront from the beginning to end. He told me what to expect in the beginning and stayed true to his word. I have heard from countless people have an unpleasant building experience, but our experience was wonderful. Lee and Bobby earned and kept my trust from beginning to end. Constant communication, open, and honest. Not to mention, they build a beautiful home. I can’t recommend them enough to build your next custom home!

    We cannot say enough positive things about our experience working with Lee and Blythe Building!We had heard horror stories from friends about building houses with other companies, however our house was quite the opposite. Lee was very straightforward with us during the process, easy to get in touch with, and responsive to requests/questions/concerns that we had. He even helped us modify the original plans of the home to add in a kids nook under the staircase that our children love :)We love our house and it has been a huge blessing throughout COVID, when we’ve had to spend so much time socially distancing!

    When we decided to relocate back to the Midlands from out of state, location was very important to us. We were beyond thrilled to find a new build in the neighborhood we wanted to live in that we could customize to our taste. What made the process even more smooth is that Lee and his team were great to work with and the house was so thoughtfully designed (open concept main floor with primary suite on the main, half bath on the main, large rooms and well placed bathrooms and closets throughout). Many of the suggested design selections were absolutely perfect (quartz counter tops, glazed subway tile backsplash, chefs style gas range, walk in showers and walk in closets, tons of storage). We made a major change to the finish of one of the upstairs rooms and to the entire flooring package of the 2nd floor with just a few months to go and even with all of the supply chain challenges of the past 2 years, Lee and his team were happy to accommodate us and made the changes work. When the building process neared completion and we were a short time out from closing, Lee’s team met us here for walk throughs and were very responsive to all of the items on our punch list. The results are outstanding. I love my home. We love our home. It’s a beautiful home from the outside looking in and the inside looking out. Thank you to Lee and his team.     Lee Blythe is one of a kind. My husband and I built our first home in SC with him, and his character, integrity, and work ethic is superior. He makes things right and goes above and beyond to build a QUALITY product which is so hard to find these days. We moved out of that home, and about a year after the new owners had occupied it, they experienced a tragedy in their family. During all of this, their refrigerator wasn’t working properly. My husband reached out to Lee to see if he could tell us where the refrigerator came from so we could help this family during such a tragic time. Lee Blythe said to my husband, “I’ll take care of it immediately”. This was over 3 years after the home was built and it was the refrigerator which had nothing to do with Blythe Building Company, but he went above and beyond for this family. He served this young widow and 3 children out of the goodness of his heart and that’s exactly how we felt working with him. He is honest and builds a quality home for each family he works with. There is now a 3rd owner in that home, and he loves it! He said this is the first home he has purchased that wasn’t brand new, but it was such great quality, he couldn’t resist. It is extremely rare to find ethical builders these days and if we decide to build in the future, he’d be our first choice!

    Our experience with the Blythe building company was truly a pleasure. Lee and Bobby kept us informed each step along the way and made every effort to make sure we were pleased with the outcome. There wasn’t a day that went by that someone wasn’t out working to finish our home and as a result it was completed 6 weeks ahead of schedule.I would highly recommend using them.

    The experience of building a home with Lee Blythe was amazing! He and his right hand man Bobby are a great team combining their expertise and experience. Lee is very patient and works hard to give you the house you are dreaming of. Bobby is so easy to work with on the details during the build. He somehow manages to email you back on weekends and is willing to meet up at the house with you any time you are able to for walk throughs. If I were to build another house in this area is would definitely be with this team.

I could always count on having Lee a phone call away to alleviate any concerns I had regarding the home building process. Ultimately, the best part about the process was the trust that I could have in Lee to do what he said he would do, and that he would handle the problems for me.The most stressful times during the process were when I tried to involve myself too much in a situation—things definitely went smoother when I let the pro handle it! Lee kept the construction on schedule and had us moved in by the date he committed to us, and his follow-up after moving in has been superb. Any punch list items were knocked out immediately and to our satisfaction. I can highly recommend using Blythe Building Company as your home builder.
