    We are in the process of moving from NJ to NC on Lake Wylie. We have never built a home on our home and obviously a big decision on a builder. We cannot say enough about McSpadden Homes. We instantly connected with Doug and his team. They are all so helpful, responsive and professional. They have been so patient with us as we navigate this process. Their insights, product and design options have been so helpful in us making decisions on our forever home. We are so thankful that we found McSpadden to build for us on the Lake. We trust them implicitly. They have a great show room to help with ideas. The homes built by Doug and team are of the highest quality and standard. Highly recommend.Tara

    My husband and I had the pleasure of working with the McSpadden team to build our new home. They were wonderful to work with on every level. I felt that each member of the team was open and honest and truly had our best interest in mind with every interaction. I would not hesitate to recommend them!! Our home is all we hoped for and more! We appreciated their creative ideas early on as well as the excellent sub-contractors they used. They finished on time and stood behind their work. I give them 5 out of 5!

    We moved into our McSpadden home in 2017. Doug and his team were fantastic to work with. They sourced high quality materials and excellent sub contractors for construction and installation. At our closing Doug said they would be by our side if anything comes up. Theyve honored that promise fully. Weve always felt a good litmus test for a builder is - would you hire them again?. Our answer is - YES!

    Our home was completed in August 2018. To put it simply, we could not have been happier. Doug McSpadden helped us locate our dream waterfront lot and then worked with my wife and I in developing a McSpadden Signature Home Custom house plan.The thing we liked most about the McSpadden Team is that they actually care about their work and their reputation and being a Signature builder kind of said it all for us. Mike Jenkins was our Supervisor along with his brother Jason. They were two of the nicest and hardworking people we could ever ask for. They made sure all of our sub-contractors dotted their Is and crossed their Ts when it came to the construction part. We asked to use his Interior Design lady, Jane Ann Simon, to help us pick out all of our interior colors and she also helped us pick out our new furnishings also. We could never have did this by ourselves and make it look as beautiful as it actually turned out. It was so convenient to be able to use the McSpadden Design Center to pick out various doors, bathtubs, sinks, lights, windows, countertops, fireplaces and more.Finally, a shout out to wonderful office staff that kept in close contact with us during our building process under Laurie McSpadden. After we moved in a few months later Doug asked me if we would change anything after we have lived in it and we could honestly say NO. The McSpadden Team completed our project one month earlier than promised. Just a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

    My husband and I cannot say enough about McSpadden Homes! BTW - we found them in Houzz where they had great reviews as well. As soon as we met Doug and his team they felt like family! Coming from Long Island, we are used to the NY minute mentality and Doug was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had and along with his continual encouragement and support throughout the process, he put our minds at ease. Jason our project leader, was also fantastic! Extremely responsive (and just a nice guy), he always made sure our orders/deliveries and trades were kept on schedule (despite COVID delays). So much so, our house was completed a few weeks earlier than expected! Ketta, was extremely helpful (and patient) in helping us to pick out tile, flooring, paint colors, etc. Her suggestions and insights were invaluable! I cannot leave out the rest of the staff; Mike, Tim and Donna are also just as friendly and helped whenever they could. The final result; the workmanship and attention to detail truly make our home feel SO special - not just to us but to all our guests every time we walk in the door! P.S. Please know that a year later they continue to follow through to make sure we are still happy and satisfied. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

    You will not find a better custom home builder than Doug McSpadden and his team.We meet Doug through our realtor when we were searching for land to eventually build our dream home. We were at the beginning of the process and Doug was kind enough to view the lot we were interested in purchasing and along with his team researched and confirmed the lot was a good one to build on. That spoke volumes to us because we were not under contract with him, but took the time to help ease our minds during a process that we were very unfamiliar with.We purchased the lot and reviewed a couple of builders, but keep coming back to Doug. Making the final decision to go with the McSpadden Team just felt natural. From the architecture team we worked with to sketch out our vision to the patience and understanding of the project manager, the McSpadden Team gets it!In 2018, the custom home of our dreams was completed and we moved in. The home is simple spectacular! Everyone that visits the home cant stop complementing us on its beauty and quality.Thank you McSpadden Custom Homes!
