    Jason was great. I called CMC last minute not realizing I would need a new regular outlet for a gas oven. They were able to get out within 30 minutes as he was in the area. While the cost was a little high, we pay for things we need when we need them, especially with professional services. So Jason was able to swap out the old electric rage outlet for a new 110 and the breaker and all appears to be good. The drywall disfigurement was the builder.

    Technician arrived on time and had all the material to complete the electrical panel rewiring. As finished electrical work goes, I would rate it as superb. All breakers were appropriately marked and wires and cables were neatly routed. His proposed use of receptacle boxes for junction boxes with covers made the finished neat as opposed to bashing large holes in the dry wall and leaving repair to me. He also modified the breaker schedules inside each panel facilitating identification of circuits in the future. I would highly recommend CMC for residential electrical work.....I will be using them for all my future work.

    Martin our technician, was amazing. He did a wonderful job installing our kitchen light, living room fan, and junction box. I highly recommend CMC Electric, they are reasonably priced with great employees. Hailey also responded so quickly to setup the appointment. We will definitely be scheduling another appointment to install new outlets in the future.

    My husband discovered wiring that was not to code while replumbing our house. We decided to call CMC after having used them ~10 years ago when we had just moved into our house. Everything from scheduling the initial inspection, to getting the quote, and scheduling the work was quick and very professional. We were on a huge time crunch as we were getting ready to get married and leave town for a couple of weeks. The idea of leaving our house and animals with faulty wiring left us extremely uneasy...but they managed to schedule the work the day before. We even received the sweetest card congratulating us on our marriage! It was so unexpected but definitely made our day. With the service alone, we will be happy to use them going forward for any electrical needs. Thank you guys!

    My experience with CMC was terrific. Martin provided me with a detailed inspection of our home with a clearly defined quote and allowed me to exercise decision making on what I wanted to do.     Called to have some electrical work. Haley was awesome on the phone getting me an appointment and keeping me updated on the technician arrival. She was very professional, friendly and helpful. They were able to work with me for a date for service. Daurlin was dispatched to perform the work that was needed. He also was knowledgeable professional and friendly.     I had never used CMC before. I called late yesterday afternoon when my generator would not come on and Tropical Storm Debby was quickly approaching overnight. Chase Lewis arrived this morning on time, took maybe 15 minutes to find the problem and correct it, then did an outstanding job on a routine service while standing in the rain. He was courteous and professional. Everything looks brand new. I will definitely be calling them again for any future generator needs. Thanks Chase!

    We are very satisfied with the level of service provided by CMC Service Experts. We were texted when Daurlin was on his way and he arrived shortly after. We were given a free safety inspection which was really nice!     April 2022- David N. essentially came out in the place of another technician. He was really nice and handled the job professionally. He installed five lights into my garage and it looks great!! I’m so pleased with the work that was done I’m also grateful for his manager who was such a great help!! CMC will always be my “go-to”!!May 2021-Kevin R. came out to give me a quote. He was really professional and explained things to me. Super patient and really kind. My appointment was actually for a later date but I was thrilled that he could come out sooner! I havent made my decision about whether we will go with them yet (I have another quote to get) but his quote was really reasonable and I know that Im going to use them in the future. Call them!!!***UPDATE*** Outstanding!! I LOVE CMC!! Kevin showed up early and got straight to work. I am completely blown away by his work!!! Kevin added 6 recessed lights, relocated a light fixture, and added 2 outlets in just a few hours. Hes so great to work with.     I recently hired CMC to install a 24kW whole-home backup generator at my house. Chase Lewis and his assistant Dillon (sp?) did an absolutely fantastic job, and I couldnt be happier. Everything worked out great, and Ill be using CMC in the future to maintain the generator, so well have a long relationship ahead of us.Just to add a note for people considering generator installation: scheduling is kind of a MESS. I dont blame CMC for that, though: they have to coordinate power shut-off and turn-on times with the local power company (Duke, in my case) and an inspection time with your local municipality. For safetys sake, just assume youre not going to have power on the day of your generator install...that way you can be pleasantly surprised if it takes less time than that :-)

    We are truly grateful to CMC Service Experts. Martin and Hailey made a stressful situation pleasant to deal with. Our lights began flickering two days ago. Duke Energy came out and told us we had a hot socket in our electrical panel. They immediately shut off the power and told us to find an electrician to fix it before they could turn the power back on due to the problem being a fire hazard. We had no idea where to turn, but I always look at reviews for a business before deciding to do business with them. CMC Service received great reviews and we know why based on our experience. We received a text message with the name and picture of the electrician, Martin. Both Hailey, in the office, and Martin communicated with us throughout the entire process. Martin, with his expertise, helped us to make an informed decision and worked to get the job done so that we could have power before bed.I would highly recommend CMC Service.

He was helpful in explaining everything, courteous, professional, punctual (even called ahead with a more accurate arrival time when he was en route), and was thorough in addressing the ever-challenging electrical in our older home. His communication was excellent and he was even patient with the many baby gates, children, and dog in the home while he was walking back and forth between the work areas. He performed todays service well and provided multiple estimates for additional electrical projects (all received in writing before end of business on the day he performed service).     These guys are artists, beyond just professionals. I had a Generac whole house generator installed and CMC did the generator install, the dual automatic transfer switches, the CNG lines, the panel updates, the whole 9 yards. The work was done quickly and efficiently, the result looks amazing, and the worksite was left cleaner than they found it. I cant recommend these guys highly enough!     I live in an older 1950s home. I fell in love with the charm, but like any older home, it had a few downsides. Im a bit of a handy man myself, but I knew I needed to call in the professionals when my minor electric updates uncovered really old wiring. I decided to contract CMC because of the friendly and responsive office staff, but also because of one technician in particular, Joe. Joe took his time diagnosing every component. His walkthrough discovered a wide range of electrical components that were extremely deteriorated over time. The house had original wiring, a nightmare an homeowner never wants to hear about their older home. The CMC team did a complete re-wire and panel update/ relocation. They took into consideration my schedule, and made sure I came home still connected to the grid. The project was completed in 3 short days. I had a great experience with the CMC team, and would highly recommend you consider them for any minor or major updates.

    Update (Feb 13, 2023):Within hours of posting my original review the president (Chris) of CMC reached out to me. Chris explained what happened with my situation and was more than accommodating while working to remedy the problem. As of today Ive received a refund for the quote I spoke about in the original review.Everyone I spoke with throughout this refund process was incredibly kind and professional. Given that CMC really did do great work for us in the past, and how smoothly this situation was resolved, I will likely be going back to CMC for future home electrician needs.Original Review (Feb 2, 2023):I reached out to CMC in September about installing a generator connection and they told me they couldnt do it without first quoting the work. On 9/29/22 they came out and gave me a quote for a total of $95.68. Because the quote was required by them I took some time to review it before ultimately deciding to go with CMC as the contractor for the work; however, on 10/17/22, about two weeks after they provided the quote (and 2 days before a separate electrician visit I had scheduled with them) I received a voicemail from CMC saying that they were shutting down their electrician service. In this voicemail I was told there was nothing I could do, no number they could provide to reach them, and sorry but Im out of luck.After trying a few numbers I managed to get ahold of an employee at CMC. I requested a refund for the money I was required to spend on the quote as well as a number I could follow-up with. The person said that I would be receiving a call from a manager later that day with information and that Id probably get a refund at some point. Its now been 3+ months since all of this transpired and Ive heard nothing nor have I received a refund.I highly recommend passing on CMC if youre looking for a contractor. The work they had previously done for me was good (though expensive), but the way theyve treated their customers throughout this situation has been unprofessional and rude.

    I have a general contracting business in wake county and have been contracting electrical work for over 25 years and have had dozens of electrical companies do business for my company for thousands of different projects. I had the need for a personal project on my home which included installing a whole home generator and completely upgrading my electrical service and panels. I had made several appointments for companies to come and meet with me for a scope of work and to get an estimate for that work. CMC Electric stood out head and shoulders above four other electrical companies in which I have used in the past. As this project was my home, it was very important that a high level of professional business acumen was going to be required. This job was going to take more than knowledge of electrical work, it was going to take coordination of men, communication from many different groups involved. The permit is required for this project and understanding how that works I knew going into this project it is going to take many days with many men and an extreme amount of communication with the city, power companies, gas company, local no cuts, permit office, inspection departments just to name a few. Once I went through the process of interviewing the companies it was very clear the estimator Neal was the best above all others in his job. I was completely satisfied with the scope of work on the contract and the price was by far the best value for the work that was to be done. Once the lead electrical supervisor Dominic arrived I was able to get a formal introduction of his team of men and exactly what they were all going to do for my home. Im am very critical of men working in and around a homeowners home as my business was build on remodeling and renovating homes. I had excellent communication with the office administrators from CMC Electric through the whole process. I knew who was coming each day and when they were coming by multiple communication methods they use. Dominic was a very educated man on more than electrical work as I watched him lead and teach his many men about how the job will be preformed and how it will make the homeowner feel if its done properly versus quickly. I would like to end on a very personal note of saying the owner of CMC has really done an incredible job with his team of people.     From when I first called into the office and spoke with a very nice woman to schedule my service, to the time that the Josh C left, the service was outstanding. I called about 10am and when I spoke with the nice woman in the office and asked if I could have a technician for today, she asked if I could hold while she contacted the tech in the area. Once the appointment was scheduled for the same day, I received an email and text, showing a picture of who was going to the house, and that he would call ahead. I did in fact receive a call, and was also on time. When Josh arrived, he was super friendly and even put a red carpet mat under his truck to be extra safe in case of oil leaks (he didnt have any). Once I explained the problem, he went straight to work. Through some skillful testing and training, he was able to diagnosis the issue and repair if very quickly. Once he was finished, he cleaned up the area, and also did a complete inspection of my grounding system and verified i didnt have any loose connections inside my breaker panel. Their pricing was very reasonable and affordable. I would highly recommend CMC Electric and will most definitely use them again if needed.

My only plug on CMC were delays for job completion. Not completely their fault but challenges due to available supply chain inventory they maneuvered well respectively with integrity.

    CMC Service Experts installed a Generac 24k whole house natural gas generator for us. This is my first experience with CMC. We just completed the power up, test run, and training.     Martin and Louis came out to look at a ceiling fan installation project at my house. The ceiling fan is about 20 feet up as my ceiling rises to the second story. Martin and Louis were both punctual and professional. They assessed the issue and gave me a quote which I thought was very fair for the work I needed done. They didn’t have the appropriate ladder to reach so they can back the next day to do the installation. They worked quickly and neatly, and checked in with me on any decisions. Martin also suggested changing a few electrical dimming switches around to make things more convenient to operate the fan.Excellent communication from CMC prior to and post applying appt! They will be getting my business moving forward and I’ll ask for Martin every time!Thank you guys!!

    10NOV20I have just had another great experience with CMC electric. My service tech was Joe. As he spoke I could tell he had a lot of experience. I had a good number of questions and Joe took the time to explain what my choices were and what he believed to be the best decision for our repair. I would not hesitate to call Joe and the team at CMC for their service was well worth the fair price. Joe even came back to to my house to ensure me of a question I had, and explained it understandably in a couple of minutes ( I made better sense being able to see what he was saying as he spoke ..)     CMC Service Experts are awesome to work with. Not only did they come on time and were professional, they also give a call and text before hand that tells you who is coming out and some background information on them. Craig and co (sorry, I’m blanking on the other technician’s name, but he was awesome as well) came out, checked out my broken electric outlet and inspected our busted fridge plug for us as well. They got us squared away (and alleviated our fears about using the plug), and me and my wife trusted them so much we went ahead and had them quote us for future ceiling fan installation. As soon as we have the fans we will be reaching out to CMC to get that installation. The CSR that answered our initial call was very on top of things and easy to work with as well. All my household’s electrical needs will definitely be going to CMC.

    I called CMC at 7:32a! Susan was very empathetic to my issue even though she had not yet arrived at her computer. She promised to call right back and did just that at 7:42a. She scheduled a tech to arrive between 8a and 10a. The tech called at 8:05a and said he should arrive in 18 minutes. He arrived promptly and assesses my problem. He then gave me a quote for repair and fee for coming out.     Joe and Jared (and cant remember the other guys name, sorry!!) did an amazing job! We have a 70+ year old (2,000 sq ft) home we bought and are remodeling.. our house wiring was not safe and needed a complete rewire for most of the house! CMC replaced our breaker box, replaced our meter box.. and rewired several rooms, removing very old wiring and replacing with new wiring. They also installed a couple new outlets. It was a very big job, and not an easy one Im sure! ...I would Highly recommend CMC Electric!! They did an amazing job, from the lady calling to schedule and coordinating with Duke power to shut our power off and back on.. to text messages assuring us when our electricians would arrive each day, to the electricians letting us know everything they were doing! ...We have plans to have them back to add some more outlets, and move some wiring in rooms we plan to remodel in the coming weeks.     Had no heat for four days! I did call my Energy Service to help they came out changed out a part on the water tank. We were told to wait a half an hour then turn thermostat back on we did still no heat. I called them and they told me that I needed to call a electrician. I can say I was extremely frustrated to have a snowstorm couple days before and temperature outside was at 19 degrees. So I went on Google and did a search and picked CMC Electric, I also remember seeing there trucks around the other units. Thanks to your efficient team we now have heat!     Tech David was very polite and friendly and went over the job before doing it and also asked if he miss anything on the order. When the job was done he went over the process of what I needed to do before I turn the portable generator on then showed me the outlet and assured me that it was water proof.     I contacted CMC Service Experts to request repairs on my 3rd car garage light issue. After we had a storm the prior week, all outlets would not work. Kevin Reyes came out and determined that we needed to have a GFCI outlet replaced. Kevin was great to work with and explained the steps required to find the issue plus the estimated cost. I would use CMC again and would recommend their services if needed.

    They responded to my request for quote almost immediately. When I scheduled they arrived at the start of the time frame. All work was done quickly. They left the house clean off debris. We had two fan boxes with bracing installed. I wanted to install the fan myself at a later date and they did not try to upsell me. They also rewired a 4 way switch to include a fixture not on the circuit. All projects were completed at a reasonable price. I would definitely call them again if I had the need.

    We hired CMC to install a 22 kw Generac backup generator. Aleksie came out with his coworker and completed the installation in 1 day. He coordinated with Duke Energy to get our power turned off and back on as needed. He also arranged for the inspection to be done. This went smoothly. We arranged for CMC to get the propane tank delivered and filled and Jason handled that in a very professional manner. Dominic came out to do the startup. He was very helpful in answering questions. He seemed very experienced and knowledgeable. And Jason and Chris were very helpful when there were questions we needed answers for. We are so happy to have our backup generator. Thank you.

    We had a surge/fire in an outlet that knocked out the power to master bedroom and bathroom. They fit us in their schedule the same day. Tim was amazing. He replaced the outlet made sure everything was working and also replaced two bad switches while he was here! He went above and beyond and was wonderful!
