I cannot say enough positive things about Petra General Services, Jeff and their concrete mason Ian . From the moment I contacted them to get an estimate for a patio and new retaining wall, I was impressed with their professionalism and expertise. Ian was very knowledgeable and offered valuable suggestions for the design of our patio.The finished product came out exactly as we Invisioned and the craftsmanship is wonderful! The concrete work is flawless, and the attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the project. The crew did encounter some crazy weather during the job and they faced some definite challenges. They cleaned up and fixed our yard which, because of the heavy rains, did get torn up. Ian was also was very particular about how the project came out. He even redid the top of our new retaining wall to meet his very high standards after the heavy rains. Ian went above and beyond with some of our requests and just as an all-around fantastic guy.I would recommend Petra to anyone looking for a top-notch concrete patio. They exceeded my expectations in every way! Thank you Ian for adding such a wonderful outdoor area to our camp!

Don’t know where to start. We were looking for a reliable contractor to replace a bay window in our cottage. I searched on line and found Petra Services with all extremely positive comments. I called and left my number. Jeff returned my call on a weekend! Matt came right over and accessed our needs. I obtained one other quote. There was no comparison. Our custom window arrived and Matt and Terance were hard at work. The only thing they would say was they would not leave until we were totally satisfied. Beautiful work was completed in a day and a few hours of fine finish. Of note, some of the siding we provided was a shade different from the rest of the exterior. Matt researched the issue and came up with a solution the completely eliminated the problem. I would have no problem recommending (against my usual tendencies) Jeff and Petra for any renovation or construction needs. Their professionalism is unparalleled.

We recently hired Petra General Services to tear down our existing wraparound deck and rebuild it, including 2 sets of stairs. Jeff was prompt in responding to us and providing a comprehensive quote. During the work process, the 2 crew members, Matt and Terance, were diligent, personable, professional, all the praise-worthy adjectives. They were on-time, worked hard, cleaned-up the yard each day, and really knew their job. Jeff was flexible when changes came up, and made sure to get the necessary materials to the house right away. He also co-ordinated with the Village to ensure compliance and final inspection and to discuss any questions or concerns with us. We are very happy with the end result, and would recommend this group to anyone looking for quality work.

I am very happy with Jeff and his team. I have a fixer upper seasonal camp and was having terrible luck getting anyone to even come out. I finally found Petra and I am thankful I did. My job wasnt very large, but they showed up, communicated, and did what they said they were going to do. I will definitely contact them for future projects and will refer them to others in need. Jeff built a new landing and front stairs for our home. He is exceptionally responsive and proactive in his communication. We didnt have to ask him for an update on status even once!When we were planning the project, he offered suggestions but was flexible with our ideas and feedback as well. Working together, we came up with a plan that turned out better than we both expected. We also were working under a tight timeline, and Jeff was realistic about his availability and even completed the job before our deadline.His prices may not be the cheapest,but in this case we got what we paid for....very high quality work and attention to detail!

We have employed Petra General Services to do several projects at our cottage in Clayton including building and installing wooden steps down to our dock, constructing a winding concrete walkway from the driveway to our cottage, and repairing our sun porch. The latter involved lifting and removing our Jalousie windows and replacing them without breakage.Jeff and his workers have been professional, knowledgeable about each project, trustworthy, and easy to work with. Each project was completed in a timely manner and we were apprised of the progress until completion. We will gladly have Petra General Services for future projects and highly recommend them.

A few hours later Eric showed up and he too put me at ease letting me know they could repair damage that had happened. Eric, Damir & Anthony along with Jeff became my Angels. The job they did is above excellent, their attention to detail is above what most would do. The friendliness, kindness, professionalism and their ability to make a job fun was well beyond what I had expected. Highly recommend for professionalism, communication, consideration, expediency, job site maintenance and top notch quality outcome. We will be using Petra General Services for all future projects.* They took down and rebuilt our wrap around porch within 1 week!I contacted Petra General Services two months ago just to get some estimates for projects we had in mind. Jeff was very professional and easy to communicate with. In walking around our recently purchased old farmhouse, he observed our wrap around porch was resting on metal pipes vs wooden posts, it had not been built to code and furthermore, it was structurally unstable and a hazard.That became the priority. He was very timely with official estimates and communication, he was respectful of our time and budget considerations and definitely worked with us for an outcome we could be comfortable with. I never once got the sense that he was just selling a job, he legitimately seemed concerned for us and had safety at the forefront.When it came to the job, he put us on the schedule quickly. He showed up with one other employee and in 5 working days, they completely disassembled and disposed of our old porch, poured concrete footings and rebuilt the wrap around porch to perfection. During demolition, one of the metal pipes holding the old porch up, literally snapped at the base because it was completely corroded through. We had no idea how close we might have been to disaster or tragedy, but thankfully Jeff was very aware and prioritized our project.Materials and a dumpster sat in my front yard for a week and it was always neatly maintained. There was never any debris in my yard and every evening all the materials were neatly stacked. They arrived by 8AM, worked until dinner time and they took 10 minute lunch breaks at most. They never stopped working, they were incredibly polite, quick to answer any questions, offer explanations and updates and were even friendly towards my kids when they got off the bus and walked by. When they played music it was at an appropriate volume and was the most beautiful relaxing instrumental music, definitely not what you would expect and was so nice I opened my kitchen window so it filtered into the house.A week ago, Petra General Services were an hour into demoing my porch and last night, less than a week later, my kids and I ate celebratory pizza on our brand new, completely level, stable, beautiful, wrap around porch. We highly recommend Petra General Services to anyone seeking out a contractor and consider the cost of the project to be 100%, money well spent.

We hired Jeff to finish our bathroom in our 100 year old house. Needless to say, there were some unexpected surprises. Not only did he solve all of the problems, but he provided multiple solutions, an estimated time, and a price for each. He was very knowledgeable and provided his recommendations for each issue that arose. He finished the job on time and at the price that he quoted, even with the random issues that a 100 year old bathroom can present. I HIGHLY recommend Jeff due to his professional attitude, skilled work, and his genuine care for the homes he works in.

Jeff built me a shelter for my horse. The construction is beautiful - no detail left undone. Its sturdy and will keep my horse (and his friends) dry and out of the wind this winter, and cool and shady next summer. Jeff is great to work with - res ponsive, good communication, and really wants to make sure your project is exactly how you want it. I recommend his work to anyone, and expect I will hire him for any future horse or home jobs I have.

Extremely cordial and professional service which was responsive on very short notice on my wife’s Mom’s house.Sensing the urgency in my voice, Jeff Senecal responded the very next morning - rearranging his own vacation plans a bit as we were returning home before he would have normally returned.He quickly identified and resolved the issue to our total satisfaction.It’s an older house with a multitude of issues which he will be addressing directly with Mom upon his return.We found him by referral from a local hardware chain store. The agent shuffled through a huge stack of business cards. He quickly found the one he has used multiple times with great consumer satisfaction.He looked me straight in the eye and said this is the perfect choice. And he was 100% correct.A 5-star rating to be sure!

Jeff was amazing from start to finish! Each day Jeff would enter our home with a smile and a kind word. He was always on time, neat and very orderly with every project and process. I really appreciated how he would have several small projects going on at once and then somehow he would bring them all together like a chef making an entire meal and placing it on the table course by course. Jeff is a craftsman and artist. Our kitchen, bathrooms, hallways, living room and family rooms all look beautiful, neat and homey. Jeff re-insulated our home and now it is warm!
