    I’ve had the opportunity to build two homes with Taylor Homes. While the process had its challenges, the Dan Willig and the team ultimately came together to deliver two quality homes at a great value.     We researched 5 other builders before deciding to choose Taylor Homes. We are in the early stages but Kellie has answered so many questions and given us ideas on how to save costs while keeping our design & budget in mind. They offer better windows and other items that were considered β€˜upgrades’ at other local builders.

    Went very skeptical looking for a new home in our Budget, after our house caught fire. They had a house with everything we were looking for, that fit on our narrow deep lot. Kellie worked with us and the design changes to make it ours. Im very excited to get the build underway. Very easy to work with, no pressure on us.

    Hello, my name is Kathy Baugh. I am writing this letter to describe the experience we had building our new home with Taylor Homes.Two years ago my mother was diagnosed with dementia. At the time she lived in a small condo by herself and we had a son who was a senior in high school. We also lived in a condo and had another small house. It quickly became evident my mother could not live alone anymore. We did not want to move her to a facility, neither did we have room for her in our living environment at the time. My husband and I made the decision to sell all three properties, buy a piece of land and build a new home that would suit all of our needs under one roof.Where to start? We were not novice at the process of building a home. In our 30 years of marriage this would be the 3rd home we have built. We decided to purchase a piece of property. Sell the homes we owned. search for a builder. We did buy a wonderful wooded piece of property in Goshen Ohio to build on. We then set out to sell our existing three properties, which we were able to do quickly. Now on to find a builder who would suit our needs and wants.This is where Taylor Homes became a part of our process. My husband set out doing research on builders who would build for us on our property. Like most, he did a lot of internet research, lots of phone calls, spoke with realtors/family and friends about perspective builders. It quickly narrowed down to 4 builders. One of these the price ended up being much higher than the other three. One at the last moment would not allow us to make changes we wanted to the floorplan we liked. This left two. Taylor and one other. Both were willing to work with us on floor plan. Both had similar pricing. In the end the deciding factors on our choosing to build with Taylor Homes were the employees at Taylor that we had become comfortable with and the confidence we had in there process.On to the planning/design stage. Larry Little was our sales representative. He walked us through the process of designing and planning. We had very specific needs and wants. A brick ranch with a full basement that we could finish. A walk-out from the basement. A wing on the ground floor that we could design as a mother-in-law suite. Larry was very impressive though out this stage. After much deliberation and consultation with Larry we decided to build a Victoria model. Thanks to Larry this stage could not have turned out better.On to the build. Once the build started we were then turned over to our local supervisor who over saw the build. It was very nice to have one person that all correspondence was handled through. The building process can be very stressful, very demanding and very fraught with issues. We had experienced this in a past build. We were ready for it. We were pleasantly surprised though. We did not experience this with Taylor. Obviously, we did have minor changes/issues through this process. When we did they were handled quickly/professionally and we could not be happier with the finished product.Our wonderful home was completed in December of 2019 and we were able to move in. We absolutely love it. Our vision two years ago is now reality. My mother has her own personal space, and yet we are still able to monitor/help her on a daily basis. She has her own bedroom/bathroom and even a living room with a kitchenette. My husband and I have our own master suite on the other side of the main floor. I absolutely love my new kitchen. Our son (who is now a sophomore at Ohio State) was able to relish in his new bedroom/great room in the finished basement while home for Christmas break. He even has a private entrance thru the walk-out for when his friends visit.The highest compliment we can give Taylor Homes is-- If we had to do it all over again, we would. Our lives may change and develop in the future in ways we dont see today. If they do, and we need to build another home. We will do it with Taylor Homes.Kathy Baugh

    One of the main reasons we decided on Taylor Homes was because of the friendly and patient people we encountered. Even though we came back several times before deciding, we were always met with a smile.
