They have replaced new switches, installed new exterior outlets and indoor/outdoor lights, fixed another contractor’s shoddy work, and more.     It was a pleasant experience working with Walt from Meyer for installation of our Kohler 20KW generator. We corresponded back and forth for 2 weeks prior to the installation of the standby generator. He was very responsive to all my questions via email and phone. The installation was done on time and within budget. The installation of the electrical hookup to the ATS panel from the generator was very clean and neat. I would highly recommend Meyer for generator installation or any electrical work.

    This is the third time we’ve used Meyer Electrical over the years, and they were as professional as ever. I needed an outdoor outlet/cover replaced to fit a different plug, and needed minor work done in the house as well. The two men who came out were very courteous, friendly, and worked quickly but carefully. The price was fair (as it always has been), and they performed the work within three days of my initial call.     I needed a GFCI outlet installed in a crawl space.I filled out the contact us form online late one evening and the owner responded to my inquiry in the early morning hours (pre business hours for sure). He gathered all the necessary info and had his guys sent out to the site on time and the date that I needed (relatively short notice). Walts crew was respectful, on time, quick and efficient.You may be able to find a cheaper electrician, but the quality of work and service cannot be beat. Well worth the cost. I will continue using Meyer Electrical for all of my electrical needs.

    I had worked with Meyer Electrical many years ago in my prior house with great results, so called them again when an entire circuit in my kitchen failed after a coffee maker mishap. Walt took my call directly on his cell phone while driving to a job and asked me to follow up with an email. We scheduled an appointment that week and he gave me a reasonable estimate (starting with his minimum charge if $150 for the visit). He arrived on the early side of the time range, quickly assessed the problem and repaired it - specifically repairing rather than replacing a failed gcfi. He did some additional repairs and did not exceed his minimum charge. I will happily call Walt again, and recommend him highly.

    We needed to have some ceiling fans installed in our house and all electrical wires to be run ti main breaker box. We received 3 other estimates from other big name local companies. We ended up going with Meyer Electrical because of their good prices and their availability to do the work we needed quickly. Ben arrived the next day, after we scheduled the service appointment, and was there less than 2 hours for the entire job. One of the other big name companies told us it would take them all day and would cost in excess of $600 for them to do everything. Ben was there for less than 2 hours and it only cost us $150 TOTAL! We are extremely grateful for Bens professionalism, speed, and friendly attitude during the entire job. We will calling Meyer Electric and asking for Ben the next time we need anything electrical done at our house, period!

    I found Ray Meyer to be very knowledgeable and pretty easy to work with. He came to our home two or three times. However, the last time, there to replace a recessed light in our kitchen ceiling that had been going off and on despite replacing the bulb, he thought it was best to go into our attic and replace the entire fixture at its starting point, I guess. We tried to tell him that going into the attic was not feasible due to its being closed up/nailed up. That seemed to end his working with us and he did not contact me further. However, I still wanted to get that recessed light permanently fixed, and so I called another local electrician. That person studied the fixture a bit more than Mr. Meyer apparently had, found a tab on the base of the fixture housing that was not positioned correctly (thus the circuit periodically breaking), fixed that, and the light has worked properly for over a year since then! Apparently Mr. Meyer was looking for the big picture than a simpler, more direct fix. Thus far we have not contacted him again, and given the last experience, probably will not again.

    Meyer Electric came out on relatively short notice to help sort out an electrical wiring issue. We purchased a flipped house and it appears that the remodelers were trying to cut a few corners with some overhead light wiring in a very unsafe manner. Ben came by in the timeframe promised and got right to work. He was able to undo the problem and correctly (and safely) rewire our overhead lights to the proper switch. Would definitely recommend.

He weighed each approach carefully and then settled on the optimal solution. He immediately executed his plan, neatly and thoroughly.     One of my outlets was buzzing and emitting a burning odor. I was able to take out the partially melted outlet, cap the wires, and power-off the circuit but I wanted a professional to install a new outlet to make sure that I did not kill myself or burn my house down. I called Meyer Electrical and they were able to send an electrician to my house the same day. The electrician was friendly, competent, and professional. He quickly installed a new outlet and said that sometimes the wires just get loose and arc, causing plastic to melt. The company seems to be well-run and responsive so I will plan on calling them for any future electrical needs.

    Walt Meyer was one of several electricians I called about installing an outlet for charging my electric vehicle. He is the third electrician to work on / inspect the wiring in our house, but the first one to notice a severe flaw in the wiring (lack of grounding for the entire house, and a fake heavy up from when the house had been flipped by a prior owner. The panel was upgraded to a 150 amp panel, but the main service wire was the original 1950s 100amp wiring). He also took seriously another concern I had expressed to the other electricians, but that they had dismissed (a substandard splice in the main service cable where the 100amp line was too short and the corner cutting house flipper just spliced in two strands of smaller gauge wire).In short, his attention to detail is a rare find in a market where too many contractors cut corners and just hope you wont notice.
