    Our nearly 20 year old deck& pergola had reached its end, so I contacted several companies for a quote to replace both. J & A was one of the few that reached out to me in a timely manner. After our conversation, I decided to have them complete the work & I am glad I did. Keep in mind that they were not the least expensive quote, but I didnt want to make the mistake of just going with the lowest price, as that can often turn into a nightmare.The quality of the work is superior & everyone I came into contact were cordial and accommodating.     Justin and his crew remodeled our master bathroom and added a patio onto the back of our house. Justin does an excellent job at communicating and working with his clients. Both projects turned out beyond our expectations.When we did have feedback, Justin was responsive and made sure things were adjusted or fixed. His crew is also extremely respectful, on time, putting down drop clothes in nonwork areas and sending updates.We will definitely work with Justin again and would recommend him to anyone.

    Justin and his team renovated our primary full bathroom and did a fantastic job. The previous layout was cramped and sub-optimal - the team did a great job helping demo the old layout, reconfigure the shower and storage space, and place a new vanity / toilet to make the bathroom far more usable and aesthetically pleasing. The team was very professional and did great work! We would highly recommend them and plan to use them again for any project we may have in the future.

    We recently had our house painted by J&A painting. John helped us with stain selection and was very accommodating for changes that we made during the process. The painters did a marvelous job. The house siding was weathered cedar and required 2 coats. Jesus and his team were efficient and very friendly. The house looks great. I highly recommend J&A painting.

    2/15/2018 - J&A came back to paint a bonus room above my garage and patch a few drywall areas around the house. They did a great job filling the nail holes on the shiplap and then painting the space, looks really good. The guys also did a great job repairing some of the drywall spots. I’d use them again in a heartbeat for my drywall and painting needs.Original review: J&A painting did a great job dry walling and painting my house in Ivy. Peak Builders used J&A Painting so initially I didnt have much direct contact with John but got to enjoy their handy work in the latter part of the building process and after moving in. After moving in we had a few defects in some doors which were replaced under warranty but that gave John and his team an opportunity to come back out to paint/stain while I was there and I got to meet them. They did an absolute awesome job not only getting the work done to high standards but also communicating their schedule and making sure the work area was clean when they left. I understand Peak has used J&A for awhile now and as a builder Im sure you quickly learn who is a reliable and qualified trade partner.     I highly recommend working with J and A Painting and Home Improvements! They removed artificial arches and columns in our home, painted everything, replaced all the floors, painted the cabinets in my kitchen and bathrooms, replaced the countertops, sinks and backsplash, installed blinds and new light fixtures and fans, upgraded my electrical sockets, installed can lights, and more.     From our first meeting with John we were impressed by his honesty and helpfulness. He noted exactly what he thought would be most efficient and effective. The outside and inside of the house were completed in less time than estimated. The crew showed up every day ready to work and were tireless in completing the days work.     John and his team were amazing! Not only professional but very very nice and prompt. We had just moved in the area received his number as a recommendation, as soon as I txted him he scheduled a estimate walk through. Right after that walk through we were able to get the team to come out the next day! They only took three days and everything was perfect! They prepped small dings and cracks with in the wall before hand the crown molding and ceilings were all done perfectly! I can not recommend enough ! They were great !

    We were so pleased with our experience with John and his crew. They painted our entire house and exterior during construction and their work was exemplary. We were impressed with their attention to detail. We have some specialty molding design that was challenging to paint and they came out with flying colors.     We called on J & A to provide an estimate for a variety of deferred maintenance work including exterior painting, cultured stone repairs on the chimney, transom window glass replacement, new storm doors and frame repairs, and a new tile floor in the kitchen. John and son Justin Flevarakis are great guys with a can-do attitude. They came, evaluated, and provided an estimate that fell within the range we had been thinking. Justin was always sure to give us a heads up when a team was supposed to turn up. The tradesmen who showed up for the work knew their jobs, were pleasant, polite, and hard working. Where required, they graciously returned for touch-ups. We will call on this company again when we need painting and/or home improvements.

    J&A has been our painter for more than 6 years and has consistently done excellent work, whether it was standard room painting, painting a two-story ceiling with lots of trim work, or seamlessly repairing and painting a section of a ceiling that was stained from a leak. They are easy to work with, adhere to the project schedule, are masters at pre-painting preparation (nail pops, etc.), and provide the highest quality at the lowest price.

    I could not ask for a better job. I have a tray ceiling that had an ugly 16”x 16” return register that had been installed when our house was built. I had it relocated, and the task was to patch and paint over the entire ceiling. The two painters were on time, took care to completely protect window treatments,, all furniture, and the cherry flooring. They not only did an outstanding job of patching, they also found other ceiling cracks and repaired those before painting the ceiling. They were finished in 6 hours after a complete and spotless cleanup. Outstanding!

    Ive used J&A in the past for different painting and home improvement projects, but wanted to come on here and write a review of a recent experience. My husband and I moved into our new home in May and had no idea how to install all of the blinds we bought (embarrassing, I know). I picked up the phone and called J&A and lo and behold, they were happy to come install the blinds for us! In fact, the owner (John) personally came out and installed them on the entire first two levels of our home. He was in and out quickly, but also extremely efficient! Amazing customer service - highly recommend for all of your home improvement and painting needs!

    We contracted J&A to come out an repair some drywall from a mold issue we had in the Winter, as well as to replace the old vinyl flooring in our basement bathroom with new tile. They were quick to provide a quote, and started work the same week. There were a couple of snags along the way related to weather, but the work was completed successfully and just how we had envisioned. They even accommodated us with some touch up paint after the work was done. We will definitely be using them again for any and all home repair needs.
