    Just had a new residential upgrade from 110 amp to 200 amp service with Generator hookup and bypass. I was certainly impressed during my initial meeting with Dennis who came out to look at our needs and make recommendations for upgrades as well as Code required updates. John and Tyler arrived on time and worked tirelessly and focused to get all of new 200 AMP service feed, mast head, meter, meter disconnect, and new panel installed. Tyler installed the new breaker panel and connected all of the circuit wires. Such a great professional job these two men did for us. It looks great and they even cleaned up the basement before they left. I would recommend Blue Colar Electricians to everyone.

    My sister recommended Blue Collar Electricians and I was not disappointed. We needed an updated panel and electricity trenched and run to our barn. What a great experience! On time, professional, they answered every question we had and treated us like intelligent human beings. I was surprised but happy on how well they cleaned up after our trenching project! Except for the dirt covering the trench you would not have known they were there…. And as a bonus the lead electrician had a wonderful sense of humor, many laughs while the crew worked.     My weather head was missing because trees broke my main power line and I needed a new upgraded panel to the code. One day the electricians were doing work next door. I gave the company a call and I setup my estimate. At the estimate, everything was explained and made very simple to understand.I did ask to upgrade outside weather head, cable, meter box and inside panel to the code. All work was completed professionally and neat. I would recommend Blue Collar Electricians to anyone.

    My best experience ever with home repair! My initial phone call was answered immediately and a technician was at my house the next day. Jacob was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. I was emailed a quote within days! Even more amazing, the repairs and upgrades were completed within days. John left my house spotless (actually, cleaner than before). His work was meticulous. Finally, and most importantly, Blue Collar’s prices are significantly lower than what I expected!!

    The job I had done by Blue Collar Electricians was probably the best experience I have ever had contracting to get something done around the house. The morning the job was supposed to start they showed up on time with fairly large crew. They walked me through the entire project, where the trenching was going, and double checking where all the fixtures and outlets were supposed to go. I was getting two outbuildings powered and wired, so it was a fairly big job. On the second day, one of the crew talked to me about our pool, he said since the trenching they already did went right by the pool, I could get power put in for that so I didnt need to use extension cords anymore, and no extra charge for the trenching since it was already done. When they were done, one of the crew called me down, and we walked through the entire project to explain how everything worked and was connected. I had thought about trying to do the project by myself, but I am so glad I called them, there is no way I would have been able to even come close to the job they did. All of the little details, like how they sealed up all the exterior boxes and entrances, and how the external GFI boxes were recessed and installed. Blue Collar Electricians will be my first call the next time I need electrical work done.

    Blue Collar Electricians exceeded my expectations for my service call. I was on the waiting list for longer than I had hoped for but it was worth the wait! When my serviceman, Jacob, came out he made me feel very comfortable with everything and put my mind at ease. It can be scary having to have electrical work done that your afraid will break the bank but Jacob made me feel really great about his knowledge and how to help. He showed me things of concern and we talked about safety which helped me to feel even more comfortable with the service. I will 100% call them again and refer these guys to anyone. I will wait again if I have to just to make sure I get the same service I received the first time!

    I can’t say enough about this company. Blue Collar Electricians is the definition of an honest, reasonable, quality service small business. John, Tyler, and Pat came to our house at 8 am and were done by 3 PM. They did a panel install and recess lighting install throughout most of our house. The end product is spectacular. The price was much more reasonable than other companies as well! These are honest, hardworking people. They will treat you well and give you a fair price. I cannot highly recommend them enough.

    We had a very bad storm that knocked large limbs off a tree in my backyard and knocked my power lines down. My whole outside electric box and pole were knocked down to the ground. That evening I was on yelp searching for electricians to see if they could come out. Blue Collar Electricians responded quickly and were at my house 8 am the very next morning. Jacob did a fabulous job inside my house updating my electric box and also putting up a new pole and putting up a new box in the exterior. He did it with expertise, quickly and efficiency. I was thrilled. He could have left after that, but he did not. My neighbor 93 year old asked him to look inside his basement at something that didnt seem right and he fixed it for him free of charge. He was so friendly on top of it all. I could not recommend a better company or worker then Jacob. Thanks Jacob.

    My electrical techs Jacob and Tyler were phenomenal, specifically their professionalism and their willingness to educate me on their work. They replaced my electrical meter and electrical panel. They even gave me an extra outlet and removed the old cable wires from the side of my house for nothing - just being good guys. Also, having done my due diligence getting several estimates, I found them to be priced fair and reasonable, but most importantly, the customer service was what I appreciated most because they left me with peace of mind after their work was complete because of how serious they took their jobs. As a homeowner getting any work done, thats what you want when you pay somebody for work, and is most hard to find.

    Jason did a great job and walking me through how to fix my problem with track lighting in which my lightbulb broke off inside the lamp itself. Save me a service call was able to remove the lamp from the track and just did a great job going to buy a new light and I’ll insert it back in track. Fixed via phone call. Will use them again

    Blue Collar replaced the knob and tube wiring in my home along with 2 electrical panels, they also fixed bunch of smaller issues.Dennis, the owner, gave me a quote the same day he inspected the home, and they were able to schedule the work about a month out. Pat, Tyler, John, Jacob, and Calli completed all the work. They were always on time, professional, efficient, and worked their butts off the whole time they were there. A few issues came up during the work, but they were handled right away. Permits, city inspections, the utility company, they were all taken care off. I was impressed by their attention to detail, the whole team took pride in their work, and it showed.Overall, I’m very happy with the work they did, work was completed on time and for the quoted price.     Great experience all around, no wonder their reviews are flawless. 5 stars all day. From Miranda to the appraiser and tech that came out and did the work (sorry I forgot their names), it was a perfect experience. I had called a few times to go over the estimate and Miranda didnt get frustrated at all with me bothering her lol. The tech was phenomenal, the wiring that was some is so neat and perfectly placed, also went above and beyond when cleaning up after he was done. They replaced three electrical panels and installed a new meter box, consolidated two meters to one, and added a portable generator switch to power the whole house during outages.     If I could give 6 stars I would! Jacob, Tyler, Patrick and John were outstanding! They helped us through the process of upgrading the old and inadequate electricalservice we had on our house.     These guys were amazing. From the quote to the finished product. The crew (John, Jacob, and Tyler) arrived on time and were very good at answering any questions we had and keeping us informed.     Blue Collar Electricians just completely rewired our 90-year old house, removing ALL original knob and tube wiring from 1930. This was a considerable job with about 3,000 sq ft on 4 levels including full basement and walk-up attic plus 500 sq ft detached garage/workshop. Everything was completed in less than 1 week.These gentlemen are experienced, highly skilled, very knowledgeable, and very prideful in their work. Workmanship and quality are top-notch. Every switch, outlet, conduit, and junction box are level. The load panel (breaker box) is neatly labeled and behind the cover all wires are neat, orderly, and labeled again. The well-thought-out runs of cable visible in basement feeding various circuits are nicely grouped and secured, and armored cable was used in many areas, not just where strictly required (From my observation I believe Blue Collar exceeds codes in this and many other areas).Our service upgrade from 60A to 100A included new everything from power lines to load center (breakers). On the exterior of the house, the riser is plumb, the new meter housing and related conduit into house through brick has been done very nicely with all penetrations sealed and virtually unnoticeable.Blue Collar is very respectful of your property. They cover floors with drop cloths and continually shop vac up any debris they create while drilling, etc. Overall very very little damage was done to our plaster and lathe walls and ceilings. Unless you know where to look, you would not even notice the majority of it. These electricians are capable of working with a silver-dollar-sized hole to fish and run cable. Sometimes multiple small holes are needed across a longer run, but everything was rough patched with compound prior to their departure. The team also completely shop-vac’d the whole house when they were finished. Also, they identified and were very aware of and careful not to drill into a major 10inch structural support beam spanning the length of the basement, instead carefully running wires under and around this beam using “sleeves” of armored cable.Blue Collar really stands out in the trades when it comes to their “can-do” approach. During the initial estimate, my requests to add lights, switches, ceiling fans, and outlets in completely new places was not a problem at all—even in areas I believed would be difficult to access. Also, during the actual job, the team was able to accommodate some additional requests that occurred to me while they were working. This is very much appreciated as sometimes desired features do not reveal themselves until a job is in progress.Also, these guys work very well with building/code inspectors. They know the codes very well, and are able to provide quick access to key elements that the inspectors consider “must-see”. They take a proactive approach in these situations by openly sharing the job scope and communicating their overall approach to various circuits, cable runs, and grounding/bonding, and with the inspectors (as opposed to waiting to be asked). Our building inspector had zero issues and commended their work during both rough-in and final inspections.The ladies in the office are always available via phone and email. Any questions or comments from us were always addressed the same day by the office. And one of the ladies actually visited our job site to support the crew and tour the project.You will not go wrong with this company. You will find some of the most exceptionally best electricians in the field, and an overall high level of responsiveness. You would be hard-pressed to beat the workmanship and attention to detail. And, they all show much passion and enjoyment in what they do. I have even had one of the back already to add a switch/light that I overlooked during the main project, and will contact them next year for additional electrical work in the workshop.

    I had an EV car charger installed and Patrick & Tyler did a fantastic job. They were respectful of our home, very professional, and left everything very clean.     Blue Collar Electricians got us up and running on a Sunday! (July 2020)A storm brought a limb down and loosened our main power line. Before power company came, a truck drove by and ripped that line off our house, taking the meter, box, everything with it on Saturday 6/27/20. Hot summer weekend, stuck with NO electricity until the meter/box gets repaired, the county inspectors come out to approve it, and then the power company comes back to install lines and meter.I called a couple electrical repair companies and left messages - its Saturday afternoon at this point - no ones answering.Laura at Blue Collar Electricians calls me back on Sunday morning - shes not usually in, but noticed my urgent-sounding message. She sent out Patrick about an hour later, he evaluated it and they got the whole thing done on Sunday afternoon!We needed a replacement of our main panel - there was a lot to do and rebuild. A few of the other electricians at BCE heard their co-worker Pat was working a big job on a Sunday, so they joined him to help so he could get it done faster (who even DOES THIS?!?!).They finished it late Sunday afternoon, cleaned up any mess/debris, and did not charge more for the extra helping hands. They were very nice, helpful, tidy, and efficient.Laura was kind, helpful, explained everything , and helped to get the county inspector out first thing on Monday, and the power company out shortly thereafter.Honestly some of the nicest and most professional trades-persons Ive dealt with!     We had the house rewired, put in new electrical panel, and had a ceiling fan added by Blue Collar Electricians. The best decision was to go with them. A lot of companies say they put customer satisfaction a priority, but Blue Collar Electricians live it and prove it. I have never seen anything like them, from Miranda in the office with continuing communication with scheduling, to the crew of Tyler, Pat, John, and Jake who did the job with genuine passion. These guys were amazing, tarps put down everywhere, cleanup always done, arrived on time every day, asked questions to make sure nothing was missed, worked together as a team. Wow. I asked them when one of the rooms was finished if I could move my equipment back in and they said sure enough we will move it for you, I said thats ok I can do it but they said no we got it. Unbelievable! And yes they were that good!! I have already scheduled to have them come back to add some additional lighting in another room.

    From our first contact Blue Collar Electricians were professional and responsive. Our estimate was done promptly and cost shared the same day. Dennis was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything that would be repaired. Scheduling was easy. We were scheduled to have our panel replaced 2 weeks after the estimate. We were called and able to have it done a week earlier due to a cancelation. PAT and JAKE (aka Bert and Ernie) arrived right on time and got right to work. They took their time mapping out the rats nest that was our original panel. PAT took his time to create a sculptural masterpiece!     We needed an electrician to install a 240 line in our garage for an EV charger. Our garage is the furthest spot from our basement electrical box, so clearly, not a simple job.After about 6 quotes, Blue Collar Electricians was clearly the most knowledgeable and reasonably priced. The quoting process was quick, no-nonsense and pressure free. A couple quotes were as much as three times the quote of BCE and worse yet, they said they would have to rip out large sections of my basement celling drywall.BCE sent out two electricians to do the install. Pat & Tyler were professional, experienced and did an amazing job. They did the entire run with just a quarter size hole in my basement ceiling that they patched up. Barely visible. I was thoroughly impressed (which is rare these days). I would highly recommend this company and Pat & Tyler.

    We needed a complete rewire at our family garage. We were originally going to use a family friend who is an electrician but could not accommodate our timeline. We received 3 quotes and not only was Blue Collar the most competitive and thorough, but Dennis was super responsive, answered all our questions and was invested in our project.     We had Blue Collar Electricians update the wiring for our 1930 colonial, replacing old cloth knob & tube with grounded wiring and new outlets. We also needed a new meter installed as the old one was not protected from weather and we had live wires exposed. It was quickly apparent why they have such strong reviews.The crew was excellent on all points. Worked diligently to get the job done well, were super clean, and exceptionally kind and friendly. I felt very comfortable with all 4 technicians in our home for the 2 day project.We are looking forward to working with them again on updating the lighting, and correcting some not to code work done by the previous homeowner. They also made us aware of an issue with our roof support beams that we were unaware of, that by shoring up will save us a costly roof catastrophe.I cannot recommend them highly enough.

    Im a homeowner, but also an engineer who deals with the mechanical and electrical trades on a commercial level on a daily basis. I can honestly say my experience with Blue Collar Electricians was about as good as it gets. At quote time, Dennis knew exactly what was needed to install my homes portable generator transfer switch and had a quote in my hands that matched my budget the very same day. Upon approval, the back office scheduled the job promptly, within 24 hours. A day before scheduled, the back office politely confirmed and gave me an appointment time.     I had part of the electrical go out in my home, I contacted Blue Collar Electricians and they sent someone out right away to assess the situation. Turned out I needed extensive rewiring of old tube and knob wiring and an old box replaced and relocated. I had to wait a little while to get scheduled due to the size of the job, but it was fine. The office person was very friendly and helpful and the first electrician that came out was very knowledgeable. The final job took two full days with three electricians. They were polite, and very conscientious. They did a great job, cleaned everything up and everything is working great now. Ive discovered over the last couple of years how difficult it is to even get an electrician to come out to the house, so I was very happy that I contacted Blue Collar, would definitely recommend!

    I can not say enough nice things about this company! My husband and I were without power for almost 27 hours (basement flooding, fridge leaking, the whole 9 yards) because of a breaker box issue.     Five stars does not even begin to reflect how satisfied we were with blue-collar electricians. The work they did was outstanding. Jacob came with a crew of three other people Pat John and I think Dave they were efficient professional and went above .at no extra cost for what was contracted. The main feeling I got was how proud they were of their work and professionalism and they really seemed to want to make sure that I understood what was being done what options I had and what costs might be entailed. The price was excellent and even though price of course weighed into our decision of what company to use we in no way wanted to cut corners. The project was too important safety wise to take any chances. Blue-collar was one of the only companies that Listed upgraded materials in their estimate and everything was done to perfection. We were able to get the work scheduled quickly they were always available to answer questions and the overall feeling was that they felt their reputation was on the line and wanted everything done perfectly and efficiently at the best price possible with total customer satisfaction and they certainly met all that criteria.     This is the first time Ive used Blue Collar Electricians. The electrician who came today, Dennis Hutson, did an excellent job. He took his time, was thorough and very thoughtful. The fan light he installed looks perfect. My home wasnt built with boxes to accommodate fans or fan lights, so this job was a challenge due to the the type structure we have in the attic above the ceilings. Dennis is obviously well trained, as he was able to perform and complete the job.     “Breaker Panel Upgrade/Misc. work” I purchased a house and found some electrical issues that needed to be addressed. I wanted an electrician who could perform an inspection and give me an estimate for not only the known issues but for anything else that may need to be updated and/or corrected/fixed. When I started looking for an electrician, I was looking for someone who did quality work and that would do the job right the first time. I came across Blue Collar Electricians in my search and after reading the reviews contacted them for an inspection estimate. Jacob initially came out for inspection. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and concerns. He also pointed out some issues he had found during his inspection. After our meeting, I had a good feeling with the choice I made contacting BCE.I received a detailed estimate for all the work to be performed and the cost was reasonable. They scheduled two days for the work to be completed. The communication with Jacob and the office staff at Blue Collar was exceptional.Jacob and co-workers (Jackie, Patrick & Tyler) showed up on time ready to work. They were all professional and did a “Quality Job” on replacing/upgrading to a 200 amp breaker panel in the house and a 100 amp breaker panel in remote building along with fixing all the other issues. After installation, they stayed late and performed an operational check on both breaker panels and labeled all the circuits. Jacob and Patrick did a final walk-through with me to ensure I was satisfied with all the work that was performed and answered any questions I had. On the first day they stayed late and finished the entire job. Again, they did an excellent job on everything. I give Jacob and his co-workers a five-star rating but if there was an option to give them additional stars I would.

They installed recessed lighting, three electrical outlets, relocated a light switch, separated a couple lights to individual switches, and fixed power lines that were pulled off of my house from a storm we had.     Jacob, John, and Tyler were exceptional. I am not one you does these reviews a whole lot but felt that I needed to give some praise. First of all not only were they on time they were actually early. Their level of work absolutely exceeded my expectations. I had quite a bit of work done and was expecting to have some sort of clean up or patch work to do afterwards. They were so good and efficient that they were able to do all the work with out creating any holes, and any mess that was made was all cleaned up before they left. I had 3 other people come out who were going to do this as a side job and every single one of them ghosted us after they came to assess what was needed. Not Jacob and his team. I never heard them say we cant do that or that is going to be difficult. They said absolutely and we will do what we need to do to get it done.     Look no further - these are the people you want to hire. When the CITY INSPECTOR is this IMPRESSED with the QUALITY of work, everyone should hear about it! Blue Collar Electricians had installed outdoor lighting and ran power to our shed (months ago), and while they were here they overheard that we would be looking to sell the house within the next 5 years or so. So they offered to check our other electrical systems and let us know if there were any issues that could prevent a successful inspection. They identified a safety hazard with our breaker panel that we didnt know about, provided us a very reasonable quote and performed the work quickly and with the same expertise as the first job. When the city inspector came out, he took the time to tell me how impressed he was with the quality of the work. He shared that this was the level of professional quality he strove for when he was an electrician back in the day. And get this - our electric bill has gone down by 25%!!     Well to start we received a quote for some work we needed in April 2019 from Blue Collar and 2 other companies. Jacob from Blue Collar stood out. He was one of the three we had come out at the time and although we weren’t ready to start the project he was very friendly, not pushy, very knowledgeable and very reassuring.     Blue Collar Electricians were timely, professional and extremely personable. Dennis, Jacob, John and Dennis spent a solid nine hour 1) upgrading, and relocating, my electrical panel/service, 2) installing a bathroom exhaust fan, 3) installation of several new outlets, 4) replaced or removed antiquated wiring. All of this work was completed, in a 95 year old house, in one day. Blue Collar sends the manpower to get the job done right, quickly, efficiently minimizing your electrical downtime. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. In addition Maranda and Laura in the office provide stellar support and communication throughout the engagement.

    My estimate was performed by Jacob, who was able to see me a couple days earlier than expected. I thought it was very kind that Blue Collar included a Veteran discount in my estimate. I didnt say that I was a Veteran, but Jacob picked that up from my plates and basement decor, I imagine. The price was almost exactly what I expected it to be; actually $34 less than the number I had in my head for what I wanted to spend. I accepted the estimate on the spot and was contacted for initial payment and scheduling the next day. I paid all fees up front and the work was scheduled for four days later. On the day of the job, Jacob and another electrician John walked through the job with me and asked for my light choices and desired positions of lights. I guess I should probably note that I had recessed LED wafer lights installed in my finished basement, which had no central lighting. I also had them rewire a light that I had tried to replace with a wafer light, only to find out whoever wired my house in the 70s was pretty shady. Other than the job, Jacob detected some safety hazards or code violations that I should consider fixing. I absolutely plan to have my electrical panel replaced in the spring and I wouldnt hesitate to use this business again. These folks come highly recommended by me and I told my coworkers about them. Not to pick on other local companies, but Strebb wouldnt even call me back after I left messages and emails. Blue Collar picked up the phone and had my electrical work done within a week.

    We had a damaged cable which caused our electric meter base to crack causing a significant fire hazard. The power company turned off the power when finding the issue. All of this happened on a winter day while I was out of town leaving my daughter home without any heat or water. I called Blue Collar and explained the situation. Even though their schedule was already full, they went out of their way to to fix the issue the same day. They also directly coordinated with the county to get the repair approved AND contacted the utility company on our behalf to ensure they created a work order and came out to turn the power back on that day. I cant say enough about the fantastic level of customer service from Dennis and the ladies in the office. They were so empathetic to my concern about being out of town and my daughter home without electricity. I will use these folks any time in the future if I ever need an electrician again. Work was done professionally, including measuring, install, and clean-up. Better ideas for switch locations were suggested by the electricians. After a tree branch took down the power lines to my house, I called Blue Collar first thing in the morning and they re-arranged their schedule to be able to fix my issue the same day even without an appointment.     BCE rewired the upstairs of my house last year and I was so pleased with the quality and value of the service, I didnt bother getting quotes from other companies when I was ready to move forward with the downstairs. As expected, they were right on time, professional, super helpful and responsive in the planning, and coordinated well with my insulation contractor. They actually left my house cleaner than they found it, tolerated all of my weirdness with my pets, and accommodated my need to leave early for work. Maranda was very helpful with setting up an appointment for an estimate and then setting up an appointment for the job to be done.     I just want to start this review by saying that there are too many good things to say about this company in regards to their punctuality, professionalism, skill, and personableness. If I tried to write everything that I appreciated about this group of tradesman, I wouldnt be able to fit it into a review.We bought an older house that probably hadnt had any proper electrical work in a long time, so we were looking to upgrade our electric and had safety concerns that needed to be addressed.I had the pleasure of meeting with Dennis for an inspection. We walked through all the work that needed to be done on my house. He walked me through everything along the way in detail and made sure that I knew what I was getting, so that I didnt spend any money that didnt need to be spent. After that, I got the estimate (which came in way below the estimates of their competitors).From there, I was contacted by their office staff (I wish I got their names), which were very polite and kept me up to date on scheduling all the way to the appointment.They showed up at exactly the time that they said they would. We were originally scheduled for two days worth of work, but they finished the work in one day instead of two. It was great to be able to meet with John and Jacob, and just do one more walkthrough explaining the work. Soon after, Dennis and two other workers showed up to help out (I didnt get their names, but I wish I did). After everything was completed, they walked me through the house and quickly addressed any sort of concern I had.Honestly, they knocked it out of the park. The work was done well, our house was kept clean, and we felt completely comfortable around them. The people working for this company could not be more respectful to me, my wife, and our house. After a long and difficult year, as strange as it may be to say, Blue Collar Electrician and their employees have been a beacon of light.     We recently bought a house that had poor lighting throughout. I saw the good reviews and decided to contact the company for an estimate. Ryan came out to the house and we discussed the needed improvements the house needed. After agreeing to the estimate, ( which was very reasonable), a date was set for the installations. Ryan along with Patrick and John came out to the house. They were all prompt, professional and genuinely nice guys. The work they did was exceptional and they cleaned up after they were done.
