    I had a problem with my service wire and National Grid put me on a temporary service that I had to have repaired in days or my power would be cut. I called a number of electricians and all responded that they were too busy to help me. I finally got CNY Electricals phone number and explained my problem with Shawn. He was there within several days and replaced the damaged service cable to give us safe, permanent power back. We also discussed an upgrade and set up a date to have that completed. Shawn was unable to get back on that date and called to apologize and offered an incentive. He was there on the new date we set and completed the upgrade. Due to the covid issue, there are some parts that are in extremely short supply (nothing the impacts the safety or functioning of the work he performed), and are on backorder. He directed me to text him frequently to touch base on the backorder. One breaker did come in and Shawn promptly texted me and then came to install it. We are still waiting on one part, but I have no doubt that Shawn will contact me and complete the upgrade as soon as the backorder does come in. Shawn is professional and responsive to the needs of the customer. I recommend him for his services.

    I was looking for a reliable, local electrician that I could establish a long term professional relationship with. My dad used to handle all the work on his home, but now that he requires constant care its just too overwhelming for my mom to handle anything when it comes to the house. Im grateful Ive found Shawn. Not only did he give my parents a great senior discount, he took me around the home, taught me a little about how the electrical works, and addressed the thousands of concerns I had. Even though I kept him far past his appointment time, he was incredibly patient and never rushed me. This is an honest small business owner that answers his own phone when you call the number. Who does that anymore these days?

    After calling probably every electrician in CNY who were all unable to respond to my dangerous emergency situation on short notice, Shawn and his team were able to come to my house immediately and had everything repaired and replaced (full panel replacement) within three hours which was exactly the time he estimated. The final price ended up being half the original quote which made me extremely grateful for his honesty about the work that needed to be done. The job was completed quickly, professionally, and at top quality. Truly grateful for this company that came at the drop of a hat to save my home.

    I am blessed to have found CNY Electrical. The main power cable to my home was damaged and I was completely without power for days. I desperately searched for an electrician but to no avail. And then I called CNY Electrical. From my brief description Shawn knew exactly what needed to be done. He took my emergency needs seriously, sacrificing his schedule for that day, and within the hour, was at my house and immediately began work. The crew replaced the cable, upgraded the amp service, and located the new meter where it should have been in the first place. My electrical service is now safe and secure.     Received a recommendation to try CNY electric from an acquaintance and so glad we did! We wanted an outlet installed near one of the toilets for a hookup to use a Bidet. Shawn was very responsive and pleasant to work with. We initially communicated via phone/text and I sent him copies of our floor plan so that he could assess the scope of the work required for himself. On the day of installation, he arrived with a partner and the work went very smoothly. They drilled through the ceiling from the attic to run the line down to the toilet. They ended up making an extra hole in the ceiling but it was patched up in a satisfactory manner and Shawn even offered to come by to patch it up better. They cleaned up everything and were very professional. Overall, I am very pleased with how everything turned out and how easy it was to work with Shawn and I really appreciate how he does business. We will definitely be using CNY Electric for any future electrical needs!

    I found myself wanting to upgrade the smoke detector coverage in my house and had a very narrow window of time to get it done. I called my next door neighbor, and she recommended Shawn. So I left him a message (and also left messages for two other folks). Shawn called me back within minutes, and talked through the job. He ended up recommending that I get a couple of units that did both smoke and carbon monoxide to cut down on clutter and installation costs. He also squeezed me in that same day, which was amazing. He came with his family and they did the job together, with Shawn coordinating and teaching as they went. The result was solid, and Shawn was super responsive, so I would totally recommend him 👍

    Shawn was great. Got back to me same day and stopped out to assess my project. He followed up soon after and set a date to install a portable generator transfer switch. He made sure all the materials were right for the job (not too big, not too small). He came out when he said he would and had everything ready to go. Install was a success and I am VERY pleased with his work from start to finish. He will be back for the rest of my projects. Great value (time and money) and very knowledgeable.     After calling 3 previous electricians, they were the first to answer immediately. I was given a quote and appointment time within 5 minutes. They replaced my electrical meter and breaker box in 4 hours with no issues. The work was done professionally and Ive had no issues as I write this review 2 weeks after the installation.Very friendly and also gave several recommendations for the future. I plan on returning my business in the future and would recommend them to anyone else.

    These guys are AWESOME! They were the cheapest and could come out to do the work the soonest! They switched our house from 100 to 200 amps in record time plus gave us MANY pointers on how to make our home safer for our family. I HIGHLY recommend these guys!!     The power to our farm was shut off by National Grid because our decades old electrical meter finally gave up the ghost and melted. Unfortunately my bedridden stepfather was in the house and we needed a solution to get the power back on quickly. I called Shawn at CNY Electrical and explained our problem and he made it a priority to come out right away and determine what the needed repairs were. In this case it turned out to be only the electrical meter and meter box that needed replacement. Shawn called National Grid and arranged for a technician to come right back and a new meter and box was installed and the power turned back on. CNY Electrical saved us money and also potentially a loss of power overnight. I highly recommend them.

    I was in need of electrical help to get my dishwasher installed. After calling numerous electricians and no one willing to do the job or fit it into their schedule.     I purchased a hot tub on an impulse buy. This team knew exactly what I needed to get it running. The job required more work then I thought but they had no problem doing it. I couldnt be happier.     I contacted CNY Electrical for a complete main panel upgrade with the end goal of running an upgraded service and panel to my attached garage. Having only the standard one outlet was getting old trying to run woodworking tools and equipment. They did a fantastic job all the way though and the cable run wasn’t an easy task but they made it look simple. Words can’t describe how I feel about having such a upgrade done and all inspected. Nice work to Shawn and his crew. If you’re thinking of a project like this don’t hesitate to call them. You’ll wish you have done so sooner.

    Shawn did everything I asked for in a reasonable amount of time and at flat rates. I was impressed with how quickly figured out the mess of overloaded circuits I had and separated them out in the best way for me. He also found and correctly replaced some breakers that were upgraded from 15Amps to 20Amps, by the previous owner, but in an unsafe way that made it a fire hazard.I definitely recommend Shawn and will get his help again the next time I need something electrical installed or fixed!

    I called on the Friday night before Memorial Day because I heard a loud electrical zap and smelled burning. They were honest with me about what it would cost for an emergency call and suggested calling National Grid to come out for free, which I did. It was a good thing because we were very close to a house fire. Since this gentleman was honest with me and saved me the cost of an emergency call, he got my business when it came to fixing the outlet, and we talked about options for repairs down the road. He and his co-worker were also extremely kind and helped me understand things when I had questions. Thank you for helping my family.

    Im very glad I decided to ask Shawn from CNY Electrical to come out and consider a project at my home. He came over faster than expected and began the project shortly after.     I had a pleasant experience with CNY Electrical. Shawn came highly recommended by a friend. He installed a light/ fan in my sons bedroom ceiling and ran wires to it.     Thank goodness for Shawn and his crew! Recently I had an exterior deck outlet burn out. I had never experienced the sounds or smells of a burned outlet. I will admit that I was even concerned since it was warm to the touch. Seeing I had no idea who to call, I tried to find someone locally in hopes of a quick solution.     Shawn came over to our house for what appeared to be a simple kitchen led light replacement.After we went downstairs to turn off the breaker he discovered that water got into the breaker box and shorted out the kitchen light.My wife is on constant oxygen supply so Shawn got the material needed to replace the electrical breaker box and found that the service wire had cracked and replaced the service wire and took care of the problem so that my wife could get off tank oxygen and back on her normal oxygen supply. He worked nonstop through out the day with no breaks.He did a fantastic job taking care off our problem and cleaned up after.We highly recommended him
