After countless meetings with several builders throughout the Cary, NC area, when relocating to the area from Austin, Texas, we did not feel comfortable with any of those builders whom portrayed themselves as a “custom” home builder. However, after our very first meeting with Terry and Steve [Poythress], we knew unequivocally that they would be our custom home builder. Our entire experience with them from the beginning, to months beyond our closing, was very pleasant and easy. They are professional, trustworthy, always available and most of all had years of experience in the home building business. We can truly say we were extremely satisfied customers! On that note, if you’re looking for a custom and quality built home (both exterior and interior) with attention to detail, then I would highly recommend Poythress Homes.

Thank you Team Poythress for the incredible home that you built for me and my two daughters over 3 1/2 years ago. The quality of craftsmanship is apparent in all of the details of this home. From the trimwork, to the extraordinarily spacious master closet with full length mirror, to the extra wide shower, tiling, and crown molding throughout. This truly is a home that has the characteristics of $1 million home and yet it was sold to me for less than half of that. The pride that you take in your work is reflected in this place that I call home. My only regret is that you do not build homes on Hilton head Island where my fiancé and I are now building...As well I’ve never had a builder give me his cell phone and asked me to contact him anytime I have an issue and two then respond within 30 minutes of any text I have ever sent to you. I cannot say enough good things about this company. We bought a house from them in 2017 with no set backs, bad workmanship or anything I hear about throughout my neighborhood.Most of my neighbors around me have complained about this or that on their houses made by other builders, and I just listen knowing that I barely even have nail pops. One issue I had was that some electrical was bad on my exterior garage flood light, and they fixed it years later with no complaint. (I didn’t notice it was bad till years later. We never used the light. They fixed it within a week of me asking if they’d take a look at it)Thank you for the amazing home Kevin. This company in 10/10.-Clint Compean
