Used Hoffman Plumbing for the first time today for winterizing my irrigation system and swamp cooler. Roberto Rodriguez was the plumber who came to my home and he was wonderful. Showed him where the swamp cooler and irrigation valves were, as well as the crawl space to get to the underground irrigation pipes. He immediately got started, was professional, friendly, and respectful of property. Will ask for him in the Spring, when I want to de-winterize.I liked getting the text and email (with Robertos pic and background info) to notify me that he was on his way.Highly recommend Hoffman Plumbing.

I always wait a while before writing reviews because you never know if the first impression is the correct one. Weve had Hoffman Plumbing out 3 separate times (Ray, Justin, and Ben) and each interaction has been exceptional. Its easy to schedule, they arrive when they say they will, they clearly explain how they will go about the work they are doing, their workmanship is top notch, they do it efficiently and their cost is reasonable. I especially like the fact that they email you before and after pictures of work they complete (especially if its under the house where I dont plan on crawling myself). They might not always do that - but they will if you ask. They are also very friendly and easy to talk to. I feel comfortable recommending Hoffman Plumbing to anyone and theyll always be the first folks we call if we have plumbing repair or maintenance needs in the future.

Hoffman is by far the best plumbing company in the Lake Tahoe area. We had an emergency water shut off due to a broken sprinkler line and needed support urgently. After calling several other plumbers around the lake over a few days and being told it would be 10+ days for service or getting no response at all, Hoffman got us taken care of the same day we called. We didnt even ask for same-day service, they just understood we were in a bind and made it happen. Their office team and technicians are all kind and professional, seamless experience start to finish. They are our new go-to!

Hoffman and Robby specifically, go above and beyond each time with their customer service. We have had a few technicians now come and maintenance our water heater or repair (and track down) parts for it, even when it’s out of warranty. They are always kind and efficient. Very pleasant experience. From the initial contact with the Customer Service Representative to the Technicians Knowledge and care and the follow up by the customer experience group, Hoffman has gone above and beyond with my service experience. Hoffman was the first of 5 plumbing companies I tried to reach during the winter with water leaking. A very alarming situation and the technicians and the ladies on the phone kept me cool and helped us with a bad situation. I am very appreciative of Hoffman Plumbing and they have a customer for life.

The first time I have needed a plumber for years. I wasnt sure who to call. Based on good reviews I called Hoffman. I called midday. They said they could have a tech come by the next day. I was happy with the quick response. I was expecting it to be later in the day but got a text in the morning letting me know the tech was on the way. Garrett S. showed up. Garrett is a very friendly, professional and capable technician who had my leak fixed in no time. I am glad I made the call to Hoffman I would highly recommend them.

The owner of Hoffman, Joe Ortiz, was the only plumber who personally responded with an in-person evaluation and timely written estimate. Work done was of high quality by competent technicians.I was especially impressed by the professional, personable/friendly nature of office staffer Marissa Maulden. She competently persevered through County Permit/inspection issues and she held the inspector’s “feet to the fire” (in a winsome way!), bringing my project to a successful conclusion.I’m very pleased with the work accomplished by Hoffman Plumbing and I would definitely recommend them to others.

They were fantastic! I called on a Saturday and they had someone working and available to get me scheduled for an appointment which was amazing! The guy showed up on time, knew exactly what to do - ran to home depot to pickup the specific part I needed, explained to me what he was doing while he was working on it and BOOM I was all set!! I would 100% use them again because its not just fixed but I also know what my problem was!!

I had a slow leak in the kitchen that had seeped several feet out into the room while I was away a few days. Yes, the employee was 20 minutes beyond my scheduled time, however, he called once, his boss called once and then I received a text when he was on his way from Carson City. Thats pretty responsible given there is no way to know or guess exactly when an unknown job will be completed. He never tried to pressure me to do a big repair, but fixed the problem quickly and competently. I will definitely consider having them do a more complete job when I decide to replace all my 40+ years old pipes and faucets.

My moms water heater started leaking Christmas evening - of course a holiday weekend... first thing Monday morning I called Hoffman Plumbing and chatted with Annie. She asked a few questions, asked for a few photos, gave a quick, thorough and complete quote. I gave the go-ahead for the replacement. Not too long later, after talking to my brother (who decided he and my boyfriend could do it), I cancelled. The next day, in the horrible weather, we reconsidered and called back. Annie was great and scheduled us for 2pm on Wednesday.Wednesday afternoon came and the most delightful young man (Giovanni) appeared. He was kind , professional and fast. He explained how the settings work, what to watch for, where to set the temperature. He was patient and double checked the connections while showing what he was looking for.We cant say enough about how great Hoffman Plumbing is - wont ever call anyone else!10 stars!!

We rented a 13-yard dumpster from Hoffman Plumbing to make a household move a little easier. Scheduling was easy. We were texted when the driver was on his way. He put it exactly where we wanted it. Its winter, so we had to clear a little snow out of it before starting. But it met our needs perfectly. We wound up extending the rental by a couple days and that process was friendly and easy. Pickup and removal went just as smooth as the dropoff. Pricing was very fair, and the whole process was so much easier than hauling stuff to the landfill ourselves. Highly recommend their service.

If you want a honest and reliable plumber, Hoffman Plumbing is where you should look. My main water line was leaking, Joe came out the same day and emailed a reasonably priced quote the next day as promised. Even though this was a last minute situation, Joe was able to have a crew to my house the very next week (as soon as 811 gave the go ahead to dig). In only a day and a half, Joe and his crew were able to dig a 90 foot trench and replace our main water line. I will use Hoffman Plumbing for all of my future plumbing needs and you should too! As is the case with all plumbers except the bad ones, Hoffman was booked solid. But they assured me that they would be out either today or tomorrow, and would keep me in the loop. They called back in about an hour later to tell me that they were still looking for someone to shake loose to handle my problem. Once again they called to make sure I was going to be home, and that theyd be there in about an hour. Then I got both an email and a text to let me know they were on the way, and the name and photo of the plumber. They took care of the problem professionally and quickly, cleaned up after themselves, and drove off to make someone else happy. All in all, everything was as it was better than I expected. Alan Bianchine & his working partner came to my house faster than expected and installed a new water heater. My old heater had leaked & flooded my entire furnace/laundry room & attached garage. They were very efficient, professional, courteous, & explained everything that we needed to know. Excellent service! I highly recommend this company!They came out on a Saturday and fixed a leaking pipe in my cement slab floor. They very carefully removed just a small amount of cement surrounding the downpipe and located the leak. Cut out and replaced the leaking section, and finished up in just a bit over two hours. Great work, and reasonable cost. Hoffman Plumbing is now my go-to company for any future plumbing needs!

Making an appointment was very easy and I got a call back quickly (most places dont ever call back). A couple days before the appointment they sent out a reminder (always a plus). On the day of the appointment the plumber called and said he could be early and if it was OK for him to do so (yes please). He arrived right at the time he said he would and was friendly, did the repairs and even showed me how to do it to avoid a call out in the future (turned out to be a real simple process with my toilet model to fix leaky water tanks).Fast, professional and cared about saving me money in the future. The staff at Hoffman Plumbing made a stressful experience (who doesn’t need hot water?) so much less stressful! Of course the water heater needs replacing on Christmas Eve!! Of course there’s a water leak at our son’s home ON THE SAME DAY!!! My call for help was returned even before I could finish leaving a message, and less than an hour later we received a call to schedule our replacement. The gentleman who came to do the work was personable, knowledgeable and professional - we couldn’t ask for more. I needed a water softener installed (that I already had purchased) so I called 11 plumbers to get an estimate. 2 answered immediately because they had a office administer person who answered the phones. 5 called back the next morning (less than 24 hours). 2 never called back and 2 dont install water softeners.Of the 7 estimates, Joe, at Hoffman Plumbing gave the best day available (in 5 days), the best price (under $300 for labor and under $50 for parts) and best realistic time to the job (under 3 hours). Everyone else was over week to come out, all other quotes were from $315 to $400, with a minimum of 3 to 5 hours for the job, plus parts/materials. Joe was also the only one that asked if I could take pictures of the existing piping in the garage and water softener unit and send them to him via text on his smartphone.Joe came out on time and finished the job in 2 hours flat! He beat his estimate in both time and materials. The total job cost $220. This was fantastic compared to one quote that wanted to charge me $400 for the labor and $100 in materials.Joe was courteous, fast, efficient and professional! I would highly recommend these guys anytime!

True to my previous experiences with Hoffman Plumbing, Darian walked me through his findings, provided a very reasonable estimate and proceeded to get the job done. Ive used Hoffman several times, but they were especially good on this last one. We had a seemingly simple problem, a shower drain that we couldnt unclog. Roberto did a heavy snaking and thought he had nailed it, but the clog came back next day. They came straight back within hours and figured out the real problem was a bad trap under the house. They fixed that, charging only for additional parts. You couldnt ask for better service or fairer treatment.

I had tried other plumbers, but everyone was too busy to show up in a reasonable period of time or didnt want to work on our system (Its an unusual system that requires special equipment). This was I think the 3rd time I called them and the first time it was an emergency. 2 prior were things scheduled in advance get done in next month or so. But yesterday was a need it done now, tonight. Broken toilet I tried to fix and couldnt when I was due for surgery in morning and would not be able to wait.I called at maybe 4-430 pm when I had given up self fixing. They first offered someone in the morning. I told them my availablilty situation and asked if maybe someone could come that night and I knew it would cost extra. Peace of mind would mean alot. Right away they said they had someone on a project still nearby. BUT they didnt know how fast it would complete it could be over 3 hours or 30 min. Which is fair I called them at the end of a day. I accepted. I knew it would probably cost more for after hours trip I was ready. When J showed up he was masked as expected COVID. I showed him to the bathroom which is cramped 1 butt room. Then sat outside door to explain what had happened. I had the fix it parts but had mis threaded( which I knew) and couldnt get it apart or together. J smiled said no problem an got to work. He chatted and laughed with me which helped calm me. While quickly fixing my damage. Tested everything working great. Then while that toilet was filling took a peak at a second one that runs and was able to adjust a seal in about 30 seconds that I thought needed full replacement and hadnt been able to get to. Then packed up and gave me my total ( half what I was thinking after hour work would likely run.) And said good night. I looked at the clock it was almost 630. So call to complete under 2 hours. This company has shown me they are awesome in a pinch and were great with larger install projects where scheduling was not an issue. ( I think both of those were still under a week) if in Carson and wondering who to call, call them.

We had a pipe burst the day after Thanksgiving and could not use hot water for 6 days. We became aware that our home has faulty Kitec plumbing. Called other companies for a re-pipe bid. The plumbers that came to quote the re-pipe just gave the quote and left. However, Hoffmans bid estimater gave us the quote and offered to fix the pipe temporarily so we could have hot water. A day later Darian showed up and after 3hrs and one failed attempt to fix the faulty pipe, because the kitec pipe is so brittle. He was able to stop the leak and temporarily repair the pipe so that we could have hot water again. Darian is very knowledgeable and very skilled in his trade. When we re-pipe the home,we will definitely be using Hoffman Plumbing.
