We are very pleased to have hired Stew Mayer of SM Designbuild to update and remodel our kitchen. Stew guided us through the entire process, from design to installation. His construction team was top notch and always a pleasure to have working in our home. They took great pride in the quality of their work and really paid close attention to the details. We kept close to our original plans but when slight adjustments were made, Stew worked with us to help us to achieve our vision. SM Designbuild’s strong communication, flexibility and commitment to quality made for a smooth and very successful remodel.

It’s a big plus working with someone like Stew who brings both design and construction expertise to our projects; the typical disconnect between the architect and the contractor as 2 separate companies, with 2 different sets of priorities, is eliminated. Stew’s inputs insures a smoother, more collaborative and cost-effective construction process for all involved, from customer to tradespeople. And the high quality of the end product is the result.

SM-designbuild was referred to me by a friend that had great success working with Stew and his company on their home remodel. As a single woman I was a bit nervous about renovating my condo as Id heard so many scary stories about how things can go wrong with contractors, but my experience with SM-designbuild was great. The design phase was fun and painless; they listened closely to my needs and came up with great ideas I hadnt even considered. They priced the project early on in the design phase and I was relieved to find that the initial estimate was very close to the final cost. The quality of their work was excellent and Im happy to report that they finished the job ahead of schedule! You cant go wrong with SM-designbuild. I would use them again in a heart beat and would refer them to all my friends.

SMDesignBuild recently completed a full master bath remodel for us. Stew, his head supervisor, Mark, and all of the subs were wonderful to work with...clean and meticulous. From designing, to picking out materials, to installation SMDesignBuild was first rate. When slight issues came up (as have with every remodel we have done!) Stew and Mark found the solutions quickly and without drama. We are exacting customers and Stew, Mark and the subs patiently and diligently met our needs. Our master bath is now absolutely as beautiful and perfect as we envisioned it thanks to SMDesignBuild.

My wife and I hired SM-designbuild to do a whole kitchen remodel in our home. It involved tearing the kitchen down to the studs, moving and reconfiguring a couple of walls and installing a new cabinetry footprint. SM-design build took us from the concept phase, through the architecture planning and drawings and all the way through construction. We are very happy with the finished product that was delivered. All the construction was top notch quality with an attention to detail that you wont normally find. We had a few minor bumps along the way (as to be expected in a large remodel). My wife and I both work from home and lived in the house during the remodel, SM-design build went the extra mile to ensure the noise, dust, and mess were kept to a minimum so that we could continue to work. If you are looking for a full service team for a large project I would recommend SM-designbuild.

Stew, I wanted to let you know how absolutely thrilled my parents were with the entryway / dining room floor. The choice of wood, style of tongue-and-groove, the finish, the color .... they were thrilled with the entire job. They especially appreciated ow everything was picked up neat-and-tidy at the end of each work day.
