My parents needed an electrician so I did a web search and contacted a couple of local companies. Todd was far more reasonable with his estimate than the other company (and he was in Carlsbad) so I went with Todd. I highly recommend Chaney Electric to anyone looking for diagnosis and repair. My parents power went out in their living room and patio area. It turns out the cause was from a faulty outlet over the stove (when my parents had a new stove installed). The original installer connected to one of the living room wires and ran a new wire across the attic to provide power above the stove. When they did this, they also added an outlet above the stove. The diagnosis was difficult because the attic wires were covered with blown in insulation (so a quick peek just didnt work). Todd was able to track it down and repair the melted wire through his efforts and expertise. Job Well Done Chaney Electric!! My parents are super happy and Todd treated them very fairly. We (my parents and I) highly recommend Chaney Electric.

Todd did a bunch of work for us. He treated us well. He replaced our 2 electric panels, fixed switches and other items that simply made our electricity work better and/or better than it was prior. He does things the right way so that you get a good result that lasts, and doesnt take short cuts that others have done before him which were the causes of all of the issues he addressed. He is at the top of his craft.

One of my electrical sockets lit on fire one day, I called Chaney Electric as they were highly recommended to me by a close friend. They answered on my first attempt and had someone out to my house before the end of the day. They were able to assess the issue and fix everything on the spot! I was thoroughly impressed as I have had nothing but problems with electricians in the past. My fiance and I were remodeling the back yard and decided to add some outdoor lighting around the bbq and fire pit. Chaney Electric accepted the job and exceeded out expectations with their work. It was great to have one of the most decorated electricians in San Diego working on our project because we were sure the job would get done correctly the first time. We love our new back yard.

I called Chaney Electric and it was clearly a great move!I had an emergency panel replacement in Cardiff and I was concerned on whether the new box met code. Based on posted reviews of many different electricians I choose Todd Chaney at Chaney Electric to review my system and make recommendations based on what he saw. From the get go, he arrived on time and was very energetic like someone who really loved what he did. Super personal and speaking in easy to understand instructions, he guided me through everything he was looking at and provided me with all the materials need to meet my goals! He even contacted me the next day with additional insight after sleeping on it for a night! Super reasonable prices! He even charged me less than he initially quoted me which is always a pleasant surprise! I would definitely use Chaney Electric for all of my future electrical needs!

I have worked with Todd for a very long time at our property in Oceanside. Having been in property management for over 23 years I can honestly say that I have never met an electrician with greater knowledge and more Integrity than Todd. He always has his customers best interests in mind and that means he will not cut corners. And he will take the time to explain to you why such and such is not the best application or the best idea or perhaps even not to code. If you want something done absolutely perfectly right, so that you can have peace of mind, then Todd is the person to call.
