Ekern recently completed the annual maintenance inspection on the unit they installed in our home over 5 years ago. The appointment was scheduled in an extremely timely manner. The onsite inspection was thorough. The technician was very professional, patient, approachable, and responsive. We felt confident with his experience, as well as the guidance and recommendations provided. We appreciated the time he spent to ensure we were all set for the coming winter months. We were also grateful that Ekern was willing to travel down to our home as many of the local providers have been unable to service our system. We look forward to continuing service with Ekern.

Our furnace died at the beginning of winter and we needed a new one ASAP. Chris did a great job explaining what type of product would be best for our home. We felt confident in our purchase because of how Chris walked us through the process of selecting and paying for our new furnace. They promptly got us on the schedule. The technicians were professional and efficiently installed our new furnace. We trust Ekern and have since purchased a new air conditioner through them as well.

We needed our thermostat replaced. Something went wrong after it was replaced on Friday. I called them Saturday morning and they sent Troy right out. He spent most of the day working on the problem (he wasn’t even on call that day). He didn’t give up, explained what he was trying on each step, and was so professional and pleasant. We highly recommend Troy and Ekern.

Water heater was leaking and thought I needed a new heater. Chris recommended a tech check it and all the heater needed was a $25 part. Save many $100s of dollars.The service is professional, courteous, and friendly. I have used Ekerns since moving to Brookings 27 years ago.

They generally do a great job, car comes out clean and ahiny. My only advice is that they spend more time spraying the very front and lower trim since it is summer and their are bug guts all over the front. Vaccuums and wipe down towels are great.

I have read the reviews and I disagree with some of the perceptions. I called them out to repair my fathers A/C and a nice gentleman answered and took my call. He said he would get the message to the tech that I needed service. He forgot. I called back and they said it would be a two days before they could get to me. They did show up in two days and did way more than I asked for to get the system working. Amazing difference and the price was below what I expected. They are honest. They are professional. They are specialist in understanding what should be done, if you do not do as they ask, dont expect the results I received for my father. Thank you Tim and team for being honest and diligent, we need more companies like you folks have built.
