    To frame my review, first let me preface with the fact that we extensively researched builders before making the decision to work with Main Eco Homes. The determining factors were customer satisfaction, their in-town (Bridgton) location, their great reputation, and the appeal of their beautiful homes—thankfully we made the right decision to work with MEH, as they have exceeded all our expectations.As of the current date in December 2023, it has been approximately one year and four days since we moved into our custom home built by Main Eco Homes. From my initial outreach to MEH in November of 2021, my experience has been incredible. Upon commencement of putting together a contract, I met with the owner, Justin McIver, who meticulously reviewed every significant detail of the proposed home in a personalized, one-on-one setting. Each one of my requests and questions was met with answers and options. When the time came to finalize the contract, everything was explained to me with clarity, giving me the information necessary to proceed with confidence.Throughout the homebuilding process, I chose to be an active participant, being introduced to every contractor working on the project. This allowed me to form connections and establish rapport with each professional involved. Above all, my project manager, Ben, quickly emerged as my most dedicated advocate and collaborator—never once did I feel that my concerns or requests were dismissed or downplayed. Ben always responded to my calls and texts, regardless of the time or day, and even continues to do so to this day. Ben and Camryn, MEHs interior designer, also gave me extensive guidance on interior/exterior design, and even even made introductions to amazing individuals who aided in furnishing and designing the home.One of the things that amazed me was the remarkable ability of our project manager, Ben, to accurately keep track of every single detail, whether we had forgotten them or not—this is just one small example that details the level of care and professionalism shown to us during the process.The last few weeks of the project were particularly special, as we witnessed the entire home coming together. Having surpassed all our expectations, our project was completed ahead of schedule. Following the move into our new home, MEH has remained committed to standing behind their work, promptly addressing any issues that arise—of which there have been very few. I have never been made to feel like an inconvenience with any request, and the resolution of my concerns have always been promptly addressed with a high level of professionalism.Building a custom home is a HUGE undertaking, and choosing your builder is a a decision not to be taken lightly. This process is capable of becoming one of the best or worst experiences of your life. Fortunately, for us, and for many others who shared a similar journey with MEH, it has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives. I have no doubt that this is the direct result of working with Justin and his amazing team at MEH.I want to give a huge shoutout to our project manager and MVP, Ben, and express my deepest appreciation to Justin, Ryan (Electrician), Tyler (HVAC), Ed, Rob, Wayne, Greg, Camryn, Lisa, Danielle, Chris, Josh, and many the other unnamed professionals who contributed to the project. MEH has not only delivered us a beautiful custom home, but has also provided outstanding customer experience, and for that, I will forever be grateful and satisfied.

    We spoke to many builders before selecting Main Eco Homes. Owner Justin McIver was the ONLY builder who promised I will build the house YOU want, and he was true to his word! I had a lot of anxiety about managing a build from out of state, but it could not have been a better experience. They built our dream house, delivered two days earlier than planned, and UNDER BUDGET. The Main Eco Homes team is professional, talented and trustworthy. Our state of the art, energy-efficient, low maintenance home is perfect for us. If you are considering building a house, I highly recommend Main Eco Homes.

    After vacationing with our family in the Bridgton/Lakes Region for many years, we finally found the ideal piece of land on a lake in Denmark, ME. We couldn’t trust just anyone to build our family house. We needed someone with experience who was knowledgeable in not just construction, but the local area. Justin McIver and Main Eco Homes surpassed our expectations and brought our vision to reality. Ed Wolf was our project manager and he made the process of working through the construction road bumps smooth and easy. Ed worked tirelessly to solve problems that arose and gave us options for things we would have never thought of but thoroughly enjoy having in our home now. Rob Dumont worked with us post construction to ensure everything worked correctly and expertly answered all our questions about all the new features of the house. We would highly recommend Justin and his team at MEH to build your dream construction project.

    My husband and I made a very emotional purchase of land (it was next to our family vacation spot of 50 years) and were on a tight budget in which to build a home. We saw the quality of work by Justins Team at Main Eco Homes and were very impressed and thus trusted them for our dream-home build. All is can say is Quality delivered, Promises Kept and Dreams Came True. We highly recommend MainEco Homes and will be contacting them for additional projects in the future.

    The MEH team was a pleasure to work with throughout the process of building our new lake home. Designing and building a custom home involves countless details and decisions and the MEH team did a great job facilitating all of it. We especially appreciated their consistent communication and professionalism. Justin and Ed Wolfe, our project manager were a pleasure to deal with. We would highly recommend the MEH to anyone looking for a home builder in the lakes region.

    MEH build our home in Gray in 2021--it is a beautiful place on Little Sebago Lake, and we love it. But this is about the service that MEH provides its customers--post build. A few weeks ago, my cousins 4-year old daughter pushed a hole through one of our shower/tub units. It appeared to be a defect in the fiberglass. I reached out to Rob Dumont, the finish guy, told hime the story and sent pictures. He reached out to the manufacturer, who agreed to cover the defect, and it was repaired without issue or cost to us. Three years later, MEH stands by its product and supports its customers. It was good to be reminded that we picked the right team from the outset...Thanks to Rob and MEH!!

    Justin and the team were fabulous to work with. The home is high quality and energy efficient. Construction projects inevitably encounter challenges and unforeseen difficulties requiring field changes. Mike and Geoff were incredibly responsive to all our requests and met every challenge that surfaced. Rob and Rich continued that high level of service with post construction visits and follow up. I highly recommend Main Eco Homes. They truly built our dream house.

    We are extremely grateful to Justin and MEH for building us a gorgeous new home. Every time we had a question or concern, it was dealt with in a very timely manner. Tim, our project manager, made himself available throughout the entire project. He brought a calmness with every step. This very special crew of folks, including Michelle, Rob, Lisa, and others, went above and beyond to make sure we were pleased and satisfied and showed compassion and fairness along the way. Impressive. They genuinely care about the new homeowners. It was a great experience to have MEH build our new gem of a home on the lake!

    We could not be more pleased with our experience with MEH and with the beautiful lakefront home they built us. Their business process which includes full documentation of the project, an assigned professional project manager, and a website with photos so you can track your project remotely eclipsed the process of other builders. The quality of construction was top notch and we were so impressed with all of the MEH staff and subcontractors. Justin and his team were honest, ethical and extremely flexible and supportive throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend MEH and plan to use them again on an upcoming project.

    Justin and his crew did an awesome job building my vacation home in Bridgton. I contacted Justin in the Spring of 2019 with the thought of building a home on a three acre lot. I had some basic requirements and together we spent an afternoon developing a house plan. Construction started in June and finished in time for Christmas. During the process, the team provided regular updates, including uploading almost 200 photos as construction progressed. The pictures were very helpful since I live south of Boston. The team answered all my questions and were able to resolve the few minor issues very quickly. The quality of the work is very impressive. I am extremely happy with the house and I highly recommend Justin and his team.

    I have please very pleased with all aspects of the MEH experience. Justin was very personable during the preparations and available and helpful throughout. As he made clear at the beginning he wanted to be sure we were on the same page. The design process was also excellent with quick response to some changes I wanted to make and again clear expectations of the process.The site preparation and construction was the highlight. MEH always seemed to have to best contractor for every job from tree clearing to roofing and MEH was always a priority for them. The quality of the building is the main reason I went with MEH and I was not let down.     If you are looking for a quality built, energy efficient home at a competitive price, look no further than Maine Eco Homes (MEH). Justin McIver has assembled a passionate team of professionals that are solely focused on 100% customer satisfaction. MEH’s passion and commitment to excellence is visible in every step of the construction process from lot clearing to the home turnover process. As a 35-year engineering professional, I am very attuned to details and execution, and Justin’s team is extraordinary in this regard. Not one detail is overlooked in the construction of the home. We initiated Contract discussions with Justin in January, signed the Contract in March, and we were in the house seven months later - a full month ahead of schedule. Our Project Manager, Tim, was on top of every detail, and his proactive mindset precluded delays in several areas including Appliance lead-time. Similarly, our Finish Manager, Rob treated every finish item installation as if it was his own home - whether it was a Granite backsplash being installed, or a towel bar. In short, the entire team was focused on nothing short of perfection. Steve, Mike, Dan, and Lisa are all consummate professionals committed to their craft. The contributions of Justin’s professional office staff also cannot be understated. Leiann, Michelle, and Danielle are always helpful and share the passion of the team working at the construction site. It is also noteworthy that Justin selects subcontractors who share his personal commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. If issues do arise, there is no finger-pointing, the focus of the entire team is on the proper corrective action consistent with customer expectations. Note that it is extremely important that there is excellent alignment on expectations - which we enjoyed with MEH. Point being that, potential home owners are well served to appreciate the basic cost components at a high level. Understanding the cost of excavation, foundation, well drilling, heating & cooling systems, etc helps both you and the Builder (MEH) achieve the desired outcome. In summary, we couldn’t be happier with the beautiful home MEH built for us, and are 100% confident we made the right decision to work with Justin and his entire team.

    My wife and I recently downsized and built a small cottage size home in Bridgton with MEH. We absolutely enjoyed the ENTIRE process. Justin McIver has an outstanding crew. Hes built a culture of excellence, and it includes the network of sub-contractors he works with. This culture of excellence is something we dont see much of any more these days. Its evident from each and every employee that the end goal is having a happy customer after all is said and done. Whether its a 1000 sq ft or a 6000 sq ft residence, this culture remains consistent. Every MEH employee or sub-contractor we dealt with gave limitless time and complete attention to whatever question or concern we came to them with. In order of the folks we interacted with - special thanks to Steve Richard, Ed Akers, Justin McIver, Michelle Kezal, Chris Garcia, Rob Dumont, Mike Ridlon, Dan Baker, Lisa LaFlamme, Danielle Davis, Ed Wolf, Steve Whitney, and Alek Maliski. We couldn’t have done it without all their help. Throughout the building process each and every one of the employees of MEH were professional, friendly, and attentive...that is still true to this day. If we call with a question they get right back to us, or even swing by the house to double check things if need be.We highly recommend MEH!     I agree with Kevin Duffy on all his comments of MEH! I would like to add that our build was done while we were in Arizona all winter...they kept us in the loop, and we were so thrilled when we got back to see our new home! Their timing was spot on, considering they had to deal with snow storms and muddy roads towards the end of the project. Our neighbors have come to us saying how impressed they were seeing the workers here every morning, rain or shine, working until dark. As a matter of fact, one neighbor has chosen MEH for their project! We were glad to be a real-life advertisement for MEH!

    We could not be happier with our new MEH home. Justin and team were a pleasure to work with from the first meeting to the final closing. The project was a complete tear down and rebuild and started and completed on schedule. We truly felt like everyone working on our home whether an MEH employee or a subcontractor treated the project as if they were building their own home. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are second to none. Rob, our project manager and his entire crew (especially Chris, and Lisa) have gone above and beyond our expectations.     Responsive, that is the word we choose to describe Main Eco Homes and the relationship that was established. Any house build will always have its share of complications, it is the response to these complexities that make a company 5 star or not. Any concern we had, over a six month period, was answered or rectified to our satisfaction. From the happy, dancing and singing framers in June to the delicate work by amazing craftsman in October, and all that was done in between...all contributed to a house built with love and passion. To this we are eternally grateful.

    Main Eco Homes built an excellent, energy efficient home with triple paned windows, thick well insulated walls with passive solar and solar panels needed minimal upkeep. Main Eco Homes treats employees with respect and employees in turn, treat customers with respect. This is an excellent builder.

    We love our new MEH home! It was a very difficult decision to tear down our old camp and build new in the same location. MEH was the only builder we would trust with that endeavor.     Cindy and Mike Shea have given the Main Eco Homes a 5 Star rating for the project at our Maine home in Bridgeton. From our first meeting with Ed Akers - General Manager to the final walk through with Tim Powers - Project Manager, it has been a wonderful working relationship. We live 4 hours away, this house is our second home, and to have the confidence that everything would be done to our request, was a great feeling. We had an 14 X 12 foot room added to our present structure. There were a number of issues that came up through out the project, but Tim was in contact with us the whole time. His ideas and commitment to the project could not have been better. We recommend MEH to anyone that is thinking about doing a building project. Thank you MEH for making our thoughts come to reality.
