    Kitchen sink and laundry sink in the basement were clogged and backed up. Called Nichols Plumbing and within 35 minutes the technician was here. Thirty minutes later he was all done, the drains were clear and everything was working again. Great service. I would definitely use them again.

    Had my septic line backing up into my tub, stressed to say the least. They were able to get someone out here within 24 hours and quickly resolved the issue. I called probably 8 different plumbers yesterday and this was the only one to both call me back timely and set an actual appointment instead of just saying tomorrow.     I chose Nichols Plumbing to do some work recently because it has been so highly recommended by friends we know in Bangor, and even by a nearby local business. In keeping with the positive online reviews, Nichols Plumbing in Brewer deserves high praise, indeed.I requested repair to a leaky relief valve on the hot water heater and to have the drain cleaned in the lower level of the house (machine and tub.)     1/31/2024Came home this evening to my basement drain backed up. Called the emergency line and received a call back from the dispatcher in good time!The serviceman that came out had the drain unplugged and cleared within minutes.     We had a pump installed a number of months ago, and it unfortunately broke. Fortunately however, we had and amazing experience getting it fixed. The customer service was over the top. This pump was for a church bathroom and Nichols decided to donate the cost labor (probably close to 400$) and just went above and beyond to being about customer satisfaction. We couldnt be more impressed with Nichols, and they will definitely have our loyalty as customers!

    Nothing but positive things to say! Kayla in the office was very pleasant and said it would be a couple of days before someone could come to our home. The next day they had some time so were able to swing by. Rob was professional and took the time to review everything and visually show me what was happening. It gave me the confidence that what he was telling me is what we needed to have done. No run around at all. I also appreciated beforehand they reviewed their COVID policies so it made me feel safe having someone come into our home.     Wow! I simply cannot say enough positive things about Field(s) and Robs work! I am so impressed and happy! I had no water and called several places to try to get help. No one was available or would not be able to service for anywhere between 3 and 14 days. I found Nichols Plumbing in a Google search and gave them a call. Right away, Chad was helping me find solutions to my problem! We scheduled an appointment for 2 days out, then later the same day he called back to see if it was alright (LOL) if they came TODAY! YES! A new well pump and pressure tank later, great conversation and information about the service during the work, I am one very satisfied customer! I will be keeping Nichols Plumbing on speed dial! CALL THEM!

    I had a sewer line that was backing up. Nichols plumbing answered the phone, I didnt have to leave a message and hope for a call back. They were clear about the rates, which were fair.     Nichols was very responsive, got out to our house by 9 am the day I called them and fixed the problem. I had a follow-up question/issue the next day and they came back, fixed the other issue (which was related to the first one, but at a different location) with no extra charge.     Our experience with Nichols Plumbing was 100% positive. We had an issue with our sewer line which was chronically backing up into our basement about once a year. Unpleasant to say the least! We’d consulted with other plumbers who advised us we’d need to tear up the line and replace it at great expense. Then Steve and Matt from Nichols Plumbing arrived on the scene. They diagnosed the issue (which did NOT require replacing the sewer line), explained it thoroughly to us, and had the problem solved within a couple of hours. Saved us a lot of money and heartache.     I could not be happier with our service. They installed a new drain for our double sink, replaced an expansion tank for our water heater and installed a new laundry sink in the basement which included building a plywood wall to brace the plumbing.     Ive used Nichols Plumbing two times and will definitely use them again if the need arises. This time I had a toilet that was constantly running and causing me to have a high water bill.     We are using Nichols to handle the plumbing aspects of a bathroom remodel. Todd came to do the walk through and went over what was needed. Of the 3 quotes I got, his was the most comprehensive. He outlined what the code requirements were, included the radiant heat aspects and also covered plumbing line to the washer in the adjacent laundry room. Although the quote was higher than the other two, it provided a complete picture of what was needed (not just a partial solution). We will go with Nichols for this job. Ill update the review after its completed. This is a very professional company (IMO).Update (Mar 18, 2021). As I expected, the work was stellar. Rob was our plumber and we couldnt have asked for a more skilled professional. He did a complete bathroom (tub, vanity, toilet, heat radiator) install and hookups. He also rerouted the laundry room drain line. We couldnt be happier.

    This spring we experienced sewer problems, being an elder couple in our 80’s, we had no clue what to do! We found a list of local city approved companies, one of which was Nicholas Plumbing and Heating. We contacted them and they came right over. Once they arrived they evaluated the problem and explained everything to use so we could understand what exactly what had to be done. They also gave us an estimate of $3,500 less than any of the other competitors.They were very professional, showing up on time, and they turned a two-day job into a day job. When it came time to square up they only charged for the work they actually did, which came in $2,000 below the estimate. Meaning we saved about $6,000 going through Nicholas Plumbing and Heating. We would recommend this company to everyone that requires their services. Five Stars!!

    I had a clog in the drain between my house and the city sewer. After many attempts to snake the drain myself I called Nichols on a Sunday afternoon. I had just returned from Afghanistan. In order to protect their business and employees they were unable to send a technician to my house due to covid concerns. I was disappointed but told them I understood and we ended the call. My phone rang a few minutes later and the technician stated that they did not want to just leave my family in this situation. The technician took the time to discuss other strategies to clear the obstruction. With some solid advice I had a working drain and a happy wife. I highly recommend Nichols as they did not have to to spend a Sunday morning advising this novice.

    We had to call Nichols twice with a septic problem and they were quick to respond both times. On Friday, June 12, they diagnosed a collapsed sewer line, and by the end of the day on the following Wednesday, permits were obtained, trench was dug, our line was replaced and new grass seed was down! We would highly recommend these skilled workers.

    Nichols cleaned our sewer line a couple times and let us know we had Orangeburg pipe leading to the sewer that was past its expiration date (that stuff was popular to use after WWII and only lasts about 50 years, so ours was doing well, actually). We saw everything through the scope so all was clear and upfront.They came a while later and replaced our whole sewer line to the street. It was a huge project, but they made it as simple as it could be. Got it done right when they said they would. Team was professional and very careful; asked us at every step about even little things. They curved the line around to avoid taking out some stairs, they carefully packed the earth back down, and then they put down gravel, loam, and seed. Its only been a couple weeks, but you cant tell anything was done now, and it looks as good as new.We were very impressed with the knowledge, skill, and professionalism of the team, the oversight from the main office, the friendly manner from everyone at every point, and how punctual and careful they were. We wouldnt go anywhere else for plumbing service, thats for sure. Highly recommend.

    They were able to do a leak from an upstairs apartment into a light fixture from a shower drain. The person that came was so kind to me my living space and my animals.     I own several apartment buildings and have had my share of unfortunate plumbing experiences. Its a sinking feeling when you get the call that there is, lets call it, black water dripping from the above apartment or filling up the basement.     We had some very badly ventilated existing plumbing that stopped draining. They tried cleaning it, but it wasnt helping. We came up with a plan to have the entire drain and vent line replaced with proper venting and drainage pipe sizes.Fair pricing and fantastic work, they did a really good job minimizing the impact on existing finishes and were very professional. Really good attention to detail and the end results speak for themselves. Will definitely hire them again.

    Been working with Nichols on issues with my plumbing my home inspector did not catch. They have been great to work with, knowledgeable, fair and so far their work has been good with no issues. Great customer service from their plumbers and office staff.

    They came out on a Friday evening within about 30 minutes. The technician was very thorough and professional. Unfortunately we had a more complex issue than we first thought. Monday we had an excavation crew come out to locate the issue and their equipment wouldnt fit through the pipe. I called Nichols and they sent a technician right over to assist the crew that was here. Chris was able to locate the break in our line and direct the crew exactly where to dig. We were up and running shortly after. Thank you!

    I am SO impressed with the level of customer service at Nichols Plumbing. We were in a bind to get a last minute septic inspection and they accommodated our needs by coming to the house the very next day. Brad was very professional and kind, and clearly knowledgeable. We also needed an estimate done quickly and they rushed to get it ready the very next day as well. So happy with this company and will be recommending them to others!
