Paul installed recessed lighting in our kitchen and set up a home EV charger. He was very nice, communicative, and accommodating throughout the entire estimate and installation process. We hired Paul to upgrade our electrical service after using him for some minor repairs. He was outstanding. He presented us with several options that were completely priced and explained the pros and cons of each. Once we settled on a plan, he coordinated with the Hingham Town departments including water to relocate the meter and ensure the installation was up to code. Once the preparation was completed, he showed up on time and completed the work with the assistance of his apprentice Paul on time. The inspector was very complementary of the work upon closeout inspection. Paul also coordinated with the power company to relocate the service to the new masthead.Overall the best electrician we have used in the 30 years on the South Shore. -

Paul was initially recommended to us by a friend to install a car charging outlet at our home. We’ve since worked with him twice more because of the quality of his work. Most recently, we needed new outlets for a sump pump with battery back up. Paul and his son are responsive (communicate easily by text, email, or phone), provide clear estimates, and are very professional when they are at your property (even down to being sensitive of work-from-home meetings you may be on). We highly recommend him! -

Paul was an excellent communicator from my very first contact with him, which was an email on his website, all the way through to the work that he and his team accomplished very professionally.We thought we should get new lighting installed when our previous ones seemed to be falling down from the ceiling. Paul diagnosed the problem from just one photo I sent him, and was very clear on both the time and cost estimate.I ordered the lighting hardware, got an estimated date, and scheduled a day for him to do the work. Unfortunately, an unexpected delay happened with shipping me the hardware, but Paul was flexible - likely because I gave him multiple days notice and told him as soon as I learned the hardware was delayed.But as soon as the hardware arrived, Paul was able to fit us into his schedule, and he did a great job installing our new lighting.Ive found our electrician. Well be going back to Paul for more projects in the future! -

I gave Paul a call a few weeks ago and left him a VM figuring Id never hear back. Paul returned my call same day and offered to come out the following week to look at the projects I had lined up. Paul and his son (also Paul) came to our house and walked through every detail and also did a great deal of educating. Paul itemized all the projects I had listed and made it super easy and transparent on what everything would cost. He scheduled time with me for the following week to do the project and showed up on time and did great work. I ended up having another project I needed him for an he immediately offered to come back to the house to share proposals. I would recommend Paul - honest guy and high quality of work. -

Our refrigerator was causing a circuit breaker to trip so after trying to reset it and not being successful we called Paul around 9pm and he was at our home first thing the next morning. He was responsive, on time, and knew exactly what he was doing which made us feel at ease. On top of doing his job he also educated my husband a bit on how things are supposed to work and what to do when they dont. If you want someone respectful to work with this is the person you go to!!! Seriously, fair pricing and you get so much out of the visit. -

Paul came to replace our circuit breaker panel in our home and did an excellent job! In addition to the panel, he grounded our electrical outlets on both the first floor and second floor. Highly highly highly recommend! The nicest guy, so responsive. Literally the first person I have ever hired to do work on my house who didn’t make me feel like I was an annoyance or that they were doing me a favor by doing what I hired them to do. I have OHA (old house anxiety) and worry about every repair we have to do. Paul assured me throughout the process that everything was normal, and that there were no issues found, and if there were he knew how to handle them. They finished a big job quickly. Can’t say enough good things! -

You’ll be hard pressed to find service of this quality in any electrician in this region of Massachusetts. A down to earth, thorough and professional man, who’s rates are very reasonable and accompanied by his two very hard working boys can bring to fruition your project, whether it’s a Plane Jane studio or glorious mansion. I was searching for an electrician online to help fix an issue with one of our breakers that kept tripping off due to a new decorative light my wife installed in our eldest daughter’s room. I came across Paul’s name accompanied with all raving reviews. I decided to call him and ended up leaving a message. Within a half hour, I got a call back from Paul with an answer. Prior to arriving, Paul contacted me saying he’d be over in 15mins (no one does this). He came by and did an excellent job and also explained what the issue was. I highly recommend Paul Eklund for all your electrical issues. He’s extremely professional, punctual, and just a nice person. Will definitely use him again in the future.EDIT: 8/11/2020 - Almost a year later after Paul did the above work, we reached out to him again to do the electrical work for an above ground pool we got this summer. Paul and his team shined and was absolutely phenomenal. He was extremely knowledgeable with all the town codes needed for this particular job. We received a well detailed 2 - 3 page summary of what the job would entail along with the cost, which we believe was fair and appropriate for the nature of the job. This was a big job (that included digging a trench for the wiring), which took him 2.5 days to complete. When the job was done, you couldnt tell anything was worked on as he and his team cleaned up perfectly. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this Professional. He should seriously have eight thousand 5-star reviews on here. I just want to say thank you very much for your work thus far and we will definitely recommend and reach back out to you as needed.
