    First of all, WOW!!! Chris and his team are exceptional at what they do. We had Rich out to work on our basement to put the triple protection plan in. We are so impressed and would recommend 10x over. They walked us through everything they did too. It took them 2 days to complete and they were so swift and polite. Rich saw a pipe that looked kind of rough and even went ahead to repair the pipe for us. We are so grateful

    Michigan Basements did an outstanding job with our crawlspace. There isn’t much room under our house but we desperately needed to get it insulated and a vapor barrier replaced after a pipe broke.     I called around and got 4 different quotes. Others were twice the price and weeks out from doing any actual work. Simon from Mich Basements came out and had crew onsite within 2 days. Mario and his guys worked for half a day and finished my crawl to be one of the cleanest I’ve ever seen. Pictures speak for themselves.

    We have a partial crawl space that is alongside our basement. The team lead was Noel. Noel was all business and respected our home with ensuring that they provided cover for our floors, steps and personal items down in our basement.The work completed uncovered an exposed area by one of the block glass windows that created a large airflow access that was likely the cause for much of our discomfort on the Eastside of our house. The area was sealed, the walls and floor present and look amazing, as well as the new access door that they installed.They did an exceptional job!

    I recently had my basement waterproofed by Michigan Basements, we ran into some issues when they exposed the floor. I felt sudden panic. But then Chris R. called (truly an angel on earth) he helped me understand the issues. He told me step by step what needs to be done and this is how he would do it. He even came to the house to look over the project. I couldnt be happier with this company. The team was professional, punctual, and extremely knowledgeable about the process. They explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. The quality of their work is outstanding. I highly recommend this company to anyone in need of waterproofing services.     I just had a sump pump and waterproofing installed by Michigan Basements. They did a great job. My project took a bit longer than anticipated (no fault of Michigan Basements). I had to have another contractor come in and complete work in the middle of their job and they worked with me along the way. They kept in constant contact so I always knew what was going on. Everyone was extremely helpful. I highly recommend them.

    I would highly recommend this company. Jeff the contractor is knowledgeable and thorough. He evaluated the whole basement and determined what the issue was and how to fix it. Within a few weeks the workers had come out to our home, placed the piping, discharge pipe and added the sump pump. Explained to me how the sump pump drains and what to do if an issue occurred. I can not thank this company enough for fixing this issue and being as efficient as they were. Anyone that uses this company will not be disappointed!

    Great experience with the team, they encapsulated my 30 tall crawlspace in April 2023 here in Grosse Pointe MI. Matt H arrived to inspect (yes, crawl inside) my crawlspace. Later that day he provided an estimate which described their process. Matt listened to, and included some requests of mine. This included white surfaces visible and vapor barrier all the way up my short walls. The quote was competitive with the two others I received including the Big company we have all seen on our TV.Rich and Michael led my actual project, they both understood what Matt and I had agreed to. Generally this is where other companies fail. The builder had loose black plastic over the foundation dirt and had left lots of building debris inside my crawlspace. Rich and Michael (as well as a couple others) cleaned it up and even jack hammered a couple concrete spots. This was in the area that I was prepping for potential dehumidifier.When Rich and Michael arrived they placed their heavy plastic on my hardwood floors and also the traffic area up my carpeted basement steps and floor.     Michigan Basements came out to my home and did a great job. They were prompt, theyre prep work getting the area of the basement sealed off from the rest to prevent getting dirty was terrific. Theyre foreman was friendly and extremely helpful, offering to stop all work if I had any concerns or questions. The workers took theyre time making sure everything went back to the way it was before they came. I would Highly recommend this company.     Mold was detected in my basement. The company I hired to fix it found the cause to be from three cracks in the foundation; They recommended Michigan Basements. I called and explained my tale of woe. The sent out their appraiser and he gave me an immediate quote with two options. He explained both and we signed the contract on the spot. He then scheduled the fix, but it was over 10 days out. I asked if they could do better and he said they would call if something came available sooner. I got a call the next day and they pulled me ahead on their schedule. On the day of the appointment, the crew showed up on time. They all introduced themselves and started to work immediately. I was expecting this to be a project that lasted a couple of days. To my surprise, they finished it the same day. After they finished, they explained the warranty and steps to take if i needed to contact them again. When they left, you couldnt tell they had been there other than seeing what they fixed. Clean up was perfect. Thanks to Denny, Mikey and Matt for a job well done. They represented Michigan Basements well.

    I worked with Matt years ago on another issue I had, and when I called Michigan Basements I was pleased to find out he was still there and the one working on the water issues I was having in my basement. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I do not even bother shopping there service around when I have an issue, because for me its about having someone I trust on the job thats not gonna over sell me on things I do not need and get the job done right.I recommend them over any other company. The owner Chris came out the next day and inspected the job that was done. He gave me some helpful tips to avoid future water issues moving forward.     Chris and his team did a fantastic job on my basement. Im proud to say that it is now the driest basement on the block! He installed a sump pump and well as digging a trench around the basement perimeter to ensure no water leaks into the middle of the basement like it used to, and lets just say that the former water intrusion issues I was having have been thoroughly cured and eliminated.     Very knowledgeable inspector who provided the quote. Work team was very friendly and efficient. Several financing options are available. Waterproofing work is warrantied for the lifetime of the structure. Hopefully I have no need for them in this house but if I need some work done on a future house, they will the first people I call.

    Had a really great experience with Michigan Basements doing a crawlspace encapsulation for us in our large crawlspace. Everyone from the owner Chris, head crew manager Matt and the team doing the install (big shout out to Denny, Mikey and Brian) were absolutely great to work with.This is a very professional team who takes pride in their work. We decided to do the project primarily so we could create a large storage area from a nasty looking crawl. We definitely accomplished that goal, but the incredible thing is how much warmer our entire house has gotten since we did this. It probably wouldnt have been as noticeable another time of the year, but it is dramatically warmer in our laundry room and kitchen now...and noticeably warmer throughout the entire home.Overall, we are really happy we decided to do this project and very satisfied with the decision to work with Michigan Basements on the project.     I worked with some friends to interview & hire a basement waterproofing contractor to resolve some leaks that had developed in their basement in Southgate Michigan. Four different contractors were interviewed and Michigan Basements was selected. Even though their solution was not the lowest cost, they had the best solution and plan for resolving the problem. Since mold remediation work was also going to occur just prior to the waterproofing work, schedule flexibility and collaboration were required between the 2 teams of contractors. Michigan Basements was very efficient and thorough in their work, very responsive as issues arose, and, did a good job of clean-up and system testing after the installation was complete. The whole crew, from Jeff in sales, Matt in operations, Rich, Damone and Will on the installation and Joyce in admin - all were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend their services!

    It started with a rusty pipe that was holding up part of our house.I called Michigan Basements, showed them the problem and he explained all the moisture in the basement.We decided to get the work it needed done.They were professional, prompt, polite and answered any questions we had.There was extensive work done.When the snow melted the water pouring out of our sump pump was incredible. No wonder our Michigan basement always had moisture around the edges.I can’t say enough great things about the crew.     Absolutely amazing company!! The owners at the quoting level are extremely detailed in their approach and I had hundreds of questions answered throughout the process. They were able to get me exactly what I needed for my basement if not more and now I have confidence going forward this will not be an issue. If there is an issue they personally guarantee the parts and labor. Their work crew is very organized, respectful of your belongings, and extremely proficient in their work. Often times I had conversations with Chris, he made me feel comfortable in regard to what to expect.When the lead engineer and team arrived, they arrived on time, they put booties on, covered my floor from the door to the basement with a clean canvas, and sealed off my living room from ceiling to floor. I was very impressed with how respectful and careful they were to my home. The lead engineer, Noel, was extremely knowledgeable, articulate, well-mannered, and kind. The 5 other team members were very respectful to my home, hardworking, and well-mannered. The following day, clean canvases were laid and new plastic was returned to protect the living room. I noticed that there was a wonderful working rapport between the engineer and the team members.In conclusion, the experience of Michigan Basements was superb work, and a superb work force.

    Experiencing a basement flooded can be a nightmare of a situation, but fortunately the team at Michigan Basements has an incredible team that can put your mind at ease in spite of the situation.From the first call on a Monday morning, Joyce, who runs the office, was delightful and helpful in assuring that someone would be out as soon as possible to take a look and give us a proposal. There was a lot of rain in the days leading up to our issue, but she was able to send someone the next day. One of the other biggest names in Michigan waterproofing/foundation work was so busy from the rains that they werent able to send someone out for about a week. Additionally Joyce was also great throughout the process with communicating when inspection could and would occur, and when the crews would arrive to do the work.Kevin showed up on Tuesday afternoon, we were still bailing out water and didnt have much of the walls exposed, but we had a decent idea what was happening. Kevin did a great job of walking through what to expect with the project and the proposed solution. The proposal they submitted was completely fair and he helped get us set up with Greensky as we recently sunk a large amount of money into our growing cabinetry business (oops) and didnt have cash on hand to take care of this. The financing was also very fair terms for a situation that needed to be handled ASAP.There was a little hold up with the city (this is totally normal with everything weve done in Royal Oak). The production manager Matt knew we had water still coming in and I was bailing out the water twice a day, so he was able to get the job started about a week later on a Wednesday which was great considering the bit of bureaucratic hold up.Between that time we had demoed our basement with my crew. When the crew leader Matt showed up, he took a look at the basement and recommended from his experience that we add some additional drainage to the project. I greatly appreciated his advice as I wanted to make sure that our finished basement didnt have any issues moving forward. It was the first time they were able to assess the entire picture, so it was a very fair increase in the cost to add some peace of mind that we wouldnt have water in the basement again. They got me a change order and we signed it electronically and there wasnt a delay and they even gave us a little discount for the additional work since they were already on site.There were 3 crews in total on site, and each of the team members were polite and respectful of our home, which is important when you have children and pets. We got out of the house and out of the teams way each day so I didnt catch all of their names as I just showed them in, in passing.Overall, from first call to final green sticker, the process took 2 and a half weeks, and now we can start to put our basement back together! Everyone we dealt with at MI Basements was top notch and professional, and Im grateful we were able to work with them to get the water out of our house. We highly recommend them!

    With all the recent flooding in Michigan every waterproofing company I called was scheduling out to October for inspections/quotes and waterproofing. When I called Michigan Basements I was scheduled for October as well. When I explained my situation of needing this work completed as quickly as possible they promised that if they could help me any sooner they would. Eddie reached out a few days after and moved up my inspection date. He was very thorough in explaining what I needed and explaining how the work would be done and fees. After my inspection the first available repair date was also October but Matt called me a few weeks later, before October and asked if I was available. Matt and his team came out that day and did an EXCELLENT job. They even cleaned up, you would never know they’d been there. EXCELLENT customer service at every contact, even Cristina my project coordinator. They all went above and beyond and I highly recommend Michigan Basements.

    We had been living with a chimney clean-out, in the basement, that would leak and flow to a near floor drain (5 feet) for over 35 years whenever heavy rains came. The area near the washer & dryer would hold water in a floor indentation. We had an existing torpedo sump pump that did a good job, but you always heard it in the living space when it came on.We have finally addressed this issue with Michigan Basements! They evaluated the situation, proposed a solution and installed a wall drainage system in the problem area with a new sump pit and sump pump. It was installed quickly and professionally.I wasnt able to write a review since we hadnt had a major rainstorm since the work was completed. Well, the last few days provided a good test of the system and it passed! The basement area where we would have had water standing was bone dry and we didnt hear the sounds of the sump pump! Dont live with a wet basement area like we did, call Michigan Basements!

    Fantastic! Great company and job well done. Stop looking, this is the crew you want to do your basement.I had 2 of my basement walls waterproofed just over 2 weeks ago (the 2 that leaked obviously). Since then weve had many days of strong storms and much flooding in the area, but my basement is still dry!When Chris came out to do the estimate, first he called in advance to introduce himself. While here he walked through everything in detail at a level I could understand. Christina in the office was great about scheduling and finding a time that worked for me the customer, not a time best for them. Matt the project manager and his team were amazing! Personable and easy to approach and work with - literally we worked side by side as I did my own electrical for the project. Somehow they almost always seemed to come when I was at work or just leaving for work. I had no hesitation or concern about leaving Matt a key for them to come in and work. They were great with the dogs and respected closing doors/gates to keep them from getting out as well as to keep humidity down and the allergens out of the house. I also appreciate Christina and Matt accommodating my work schedule as they often texted me since I could not take personal phone calls and they happily scheduled and met the inspector so I did not have to take the day off. I had zero issues with company and give the my highest recommendation!Note if you are a super clean person like me, you should expect to do some general/basic cleanup from the project. The crew does a great job cleaning up but the dust will settle after they leave. They arent a maid service, imagine a thin fine layer of dust over every thing, like if you havent dusted in about 2 months. Nothing major, just normal part of clean up/life.

    One day I noticed water entering the basement from my driveway side near the front corner of my home. It also sneaks in on the opposite side where my neighbors driveway is. It started small then grew into a stream whenever it rained. No big deal I can wait to start this project in 2023 I thought. Until one morning I woke up to a flooded basement. Yikes! I called four different highly rated companies including Michigan Basements whom I chose for the project after comparison. KEVIN is kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. ANGIE is the pleasant lady who helped me scheduled the free quote as well as the one that promptly called me afterwards to accommodate the project date around my work schedule. He even answered early in the morning when I called with questions. He is very personable. These three men RICH, KEN, KYREE are pleasant, extremely hard working, phenomenal at their profession, caring, going Above and Beyond giving me the BEST Service Ive ever couldve asked for. It was like having brothers around to make sure Im taken care of. DAY ONE: they carefully removed my washer, wash tub, and workbench that was nailed to the wall. Cut the drywall and busted up the cement around the inside perimeter. DAY TWO: they removed my toilet, finished busting up the cement, dug deeper, drilled the weep holes, placed the drain system, added the pee gravel and started the outside trench. The electrician TOM came and installed the outlet for the sump pump. RICH remembered to get me because I had a few electrical concerns/questions. Tom also went above and beyond and helped me fix ALL of them! From the one light in my basement that was upside down, to my garage lights not working, side door light, to the GFI in my kitchen, to my sons upstairs hallway light and answered my question about my flickering lights as well. DAY THREE: they placed the border, sealed the barrier, finished digging the trench outside. mixed and placed the cement. At the end of each day Rich always let me know they were done, showing me around while explaining exactly what they did. Rich, Ken, and Kyree did a fantastic job removing all the debris, clean up and even mopped my stairs. It doesnt stop there, they sealed the crack outside of my home, placed some cement to keep the water from pooling by that area where the driveway meets my home, and helped me fill in the six holes my puppy was digging next to the fences! Guess what? It only took 3 days! I Appreciate each and everyone of these people that helped me along the way especially Rich, Ken and Kyree that went Above and Beyond.     I strongly suggest/recommend calling Michigan Basements before having anyone waterproof your home! I was selling my house and needed to have the waterproofing done before the buyers would close.     Needed support work done in a sagging crawl space. Originally had been provided a price from another company that seemed very high. Left a message for Michigan Basements near the end of the day on a Friday and the contacted me the very next day on a Saturday (which was nice to not have to wait until Monday) and had an estimate scheduled within a couple days. Eddie who came out to assess the issues in the crawl space was very friendly and approachable, not pushy at all. I told him I had a specific budget that I had to stay within due to high medical bills for my daughter and needing other work in my home and he was able to get me a good price within that budget. Eddie also found multiple issues that needed attention that the first company missed including a cracked joist, holes where water was getting into the foundation and a leaking pipe! If I hadnt gone with Michigan Basements, those all wouldve gotten progressively worse.Rich and Ken who came out to do the work were friendly and very helpful. They answered all my questions and kept me posted on everything they were doing. They documented everything they did and showed me when the job was done and made sure I was happy with the work. Rich and Ken truly went above and beyond the job and I am very satisfied. As a female homeowner, I felt very comfortable with them and with the company in general. I feel that they were straightforward with the work I needed done, didnt pad the cost and came out to do the job less than a week after my estimate (which is awesome).     Last January I began to notice small amounts of water seeping through my basement floor in my 94-year-old house. I thought it might be just condensation, so I ignored it until March, when the water seepage became much worse after heavy rains.
