    I was out of town and got a panicked call from home telling me the hot water tank was leaking. It was 10 pm and Christmas Eve was the next day. I raced back home the next morning and called Mr. Rooter by 9:30. Within an hour, Rodney was at my house. He was so friendly right off the bat which made me feel at ease. He went right to work checking out the tank and came back to me with a plan. Then I complicated things by asking him to look at my toilet, as well. Dang if he didnt accept the challenge of doing both jobs on Christmas Eve! He worked with me on getting financing and the started the jobs.As he worked, he whistled. When he came into the living room wed chat and we swapped some funny life stories. He was just so personable that I felt at ease with him here. He did the toilet first and it was perfect. He jumped on getting the heater done and by 6 pm we had getting-hot water. He cleaned everything up so well you wouldnt even know any work had been done.I highly recommend Mr. Rooter and if you can get Rodney on the case, ask for him. I have a few more jobs already being planned for the near future.

    I had an old PVC pipe from a previous remodeling project that needed to be removed and sealed. The company called me rather quickly (in less than two hours) and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day with a short arrival window. They also called ahead before the technician arrived, which was nice. The technician, Chad, quickly understood the scope of work and gave me a reasonable price for the task. The entire job was completed quickly, and the waste pipe was successfully removed and the end sealed properly. Overall, it was great service, and I would definitely recommend them again.

    Josh was very professional and thorough in his inspection of what we needed done. He was very helpful in presenting options we had to suit us best for what we needed. They were out the same day we called to provide an estimate, and started work an hour later. Not only was that a huge relief for us but, they were lower cost than the previous estimate we received and more professional. Would highly recommend to anyone needing services done at their home.

    Omar was great! Coming on a Sunday morning to check out our hot water tank that we thought needed to be replaced, we were thoroughly surprised when he said the thermostat reset my husband did seemed to fix the problem and he saw no need to touch it. It is 11 years old, and there is no guarantee how long it will last, but currently is working perfectly. No diagnostics needed, so no charge. I was beyond surprised! We have used Mr. Rooter before and we’re very pleased with the service at that time as well. Excellent company, quick service and no push for unnecessary sales!

    Jesse and Will came to our residence on New Years Eve 2024 to check on a sump pump drainage issue we were experiencing. After videotaping our gutter/drainage lines it was determined that the underground lines were blocked by roots causing water to back up near the foundation causing the sump pump to continuously cycle on. They discussed several corrective measures and helped us choose the best one.Jesse and Will were very professional and answered all our questions. I highly recommend both of them and will definitely request them again for future plumbing needs

    I contracted Mr. Rooter of Columbus to perform a repair on a broken piece of my sewer line. Due to a communication error a repair was made but not to the part of my sewer line that was supposed to be repaired. I quickly contacted Mr. Rooter of Columbus the next day and within a couple days I was in direct communication with Dave who worked closely with me to resolve the issue. Not once did Dave or Mr. Rooter try to place the blame on me nor did they try to get out of performing the repair that was quoted. Dave was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and responded to all of my questions and communications extremely fast and with the information I needed. Mr. Rooter came back out to my property and performed the repair as originally quoted. Mistakes happen, it is a part of life, and I dont judge a company on the mistake but rather on what is done after the mistake to make the situation right. Mr. Rooter of Columbus did everything to make this situation right and I am thoroughly happy with the work that was done. My sewer has been repaired as it was supposed to have been and the team that came out both times was completely professional and knowledgeable in their trade. Based on the experience I have had with Mr. Rooter of Columbus and their willingness to correct an error that was made I will most certainly recommend them and I will use them again myself for any future sewer line repair work that I need.

    Well, I wasn’t going to say anything because the young man that came out to my house was very nice. But I basically had to finish the job. He couldn’t get the pipes to connect under my sink. So he called me in to help turn the pipe. He was still have problems because when he connected the pipe we still had a leak. So I came in and tried, finally I realized that we needed a washer to go on it. I asked him if he had any washers on his truck. He went out and got one. Brought back in a gave it to me. I hooked the pipes back up. No more leak. The job was done. He did find the clog that was causing the problem. But I basically finished the job and still had to pay the full price of 269.34. I was in a hurry to get to my daughter’s house for the rose bowl. But after giving it further thought. I felt that I should gotten some type of discount for having to finish the job that I was paying for.

    Great service. We had a plumbing emergency. Called them late in the day, they still were able to come out and assess the issue. They then came out the next morning to address the issues. Their knowledgeable techs and top notch equipment are taking care of business.

    Technician John was awesome and explained everything. Cleaned everything up so nice never would have known he had been here! Only issue was quoted time of between 11am and 1pm so hurried home from mothers doctors appointment and no one came until 3pm and I had to call again to find out when they were coming. Just need a little tweak to there scheduling.Would definitely recommend to all my family and friends!

    I called a couple of companies looking to have a water shut off valve replaced. I realize it’s not a huge job, but Mr. Rooter was amazing. They made our small job feel like a big priority. From the person who answered the call & scheduled the appointment to the texts & email follow-ups to the tech, Bryan who came out to take a look at the job. If you value communication and good customer service, choose Mr. Rooter. Seriously!

    Brandon was on time, kind and extremely professional when he came out to give our estimate. He thoroughly explained what our issue was with the leaking from our sink and the mold. He was able to repair the leaking problem immediately. Additionally, he called the restoration department and had them come out to review and give me an estimate on what they need to do to eliminate our mold problem. I was ABSOLUTELY satisfied with our service today and would TOTALLY recommend Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Columbus!!

    We needed to have a bathtub faucet leak looked at that wouldn’t stop when the handles turned off. I called and Mr Rooter came out next day which was a Sunday. They quickly realized there was a larger issue under the tub and in the walls behind the tile and sent Chris Welch out on Monday to start demo for a new shower, surround as well as replacing all the bathroom subfloor and adding a new vanity, toilet and water heater that was way outdated. It took the whole week but Chris’s attention to detail, pride in his work and skill set made the experience the best it could be. Kept us informed often of next steps and opinions on replacement fixtures. I highly recommend Chris and the whole Mr Rooter crew.

    Mr Derrick is a great person to work with. He was out on vacation so Chad came over and did the install and he did a great job. They are super nice to work with and customer oriented. I recommend them definitely for any gas work you would need installed/taken care of for your needs.

He arrived within 2 hours of my call and meticulously worked to correctly install my new water heater, even though he didn’t finish until around 9:00pm.     Purchased 30 year old condo. Once I got the keys and gained access there was horrible odor in kitchen. The dishwasher had standing water and smelled like something had died and odor also from garbage disposal. John with Mr. Rooter tackled the job. He determined the plumbing was installed wrong and the water couldnt drain. John also discovered a chewed up dish towel in the garbage disposal surrounding the blades. John was able to drain the foul black water and fix the plumbing. I had to leave the room for the smell but John was so professional and determined to leave me a happy customer. He cleaned up the mess and hauled off a bucket of nasty. After several cycles of deep cleaning the dishwasher odor is gone. The price was so reasonable. I highly recommend Mr. Rooter and ask for John Grunden. Super nice guy.

    The Mr. Rooter excavation team replaced root infested drain tile in my backyard. They were incredibly careful to dig around the electrical feed to the detached garage. They were accommodating for the special requests made while working the project. The cost was one half of the quote I had received from an ecologically friendly company for the identical project. If ten stars could be given for a rating, they would deserve them.

    Ive twice had to call Mr. Rooter for plumbing emergency. The first time was back in February and it was late in the evening. Josh came out and was incredibly friendly, professional, and did a great with fixing the issue and cleaning up after. It was also great that they didnt charge any after hours rate. He quoted the price (which was very reasonable) and thats exactly what I paid.The second time I called was just today and while it was a plumbing issue again, it wasnt an emergency. Needless to say theu still got me on the schedule the same day and came in the early evening. Joe arrived and was also incredibly friendly and professional. The cost was a bit higher as he had to snake out two drains, but I still felt it was reasonable and I only waited a couple of hours since I called.So yeah, this company has great employees and their reasonable rate is right in the upfront quote. Considering theres no after-hours rate, I dont feel pressured to try and schedule them during the day. Great experience! Twice!

    I contacted Mr. Rooter because my tank-less hot water system died, and had some additional plumbing issues. Eduardo Preciado came out and did the initial inspection and he was very courteous, thorough, asked and answered a lot of questions. Travis Smith did the actually replacing of our tank-less water system and swapped out a faucet and made some additional repairs. He was courteous, helpful, knowledgeable and did and excellent job. I highly recommend Mr. Rooter!

    Travis Smith was the plumber who provided the service. Inside the house was kept clean even though he had to go outside while replacing outside spigots. The plumbing looked great after he was done, work completed fairly quickly (glad since the water had to be turned off) . He had the parts to do the job in his truck.

    A different contractor told me I needed some expensive work done for a reason unrelated to why I called him, and it was pretty expensive. I called Mr. Rooter for a second quote and Derrick came and explained why the work was unnecessary. He probably could have charged me less than the other guy and still make a profit, but he was honest and saved me from having unnecessary work done at my place. Next time I actually need plumbing work done, I’ll call Mr. Rooter because I know I can trust them to not unnecessarily upsell me

    Travis Smith was outstanding! He genuinely cared about our issues and took extra time and effort to make sure he solved our plumbings problems. Since 3 months ago, we’ve tried about 7 different companies and no one has been able to fully get our ceiling to stop leaking, until Travis showed up!     Derrick H. did a great job repairing gas leaks in pipes in the basement. While making repairs, he noticed some loose piping into the furnace. Upon inspection, he also found coupling used within the furnace piping, which is a very dangerous situation. No coupling should ever be used inside a furnace because it provides an opportunity to have a gas leak within the furnace. Such gas leakage could result in an explosion. Needless to say, we were very thankful Derrick didnt just overlook the issue, but investigated and repaired the piping. He was respectful, courteous, and very conscientious about doing an exceptional job. Thank you Derrick!

    Had our kitchen sink backup without warning. I tried snaking for 25 feet without finding a blockage. Tried enzyme formula clog remover for 2 hours with no change. Jared worked a little more and did not stop until there was no gurgling. Everything flows great now. He did a great job and cleaned up after himself. Very impressed.

    IThe drain clog was cared for quickly but there was concern about other potential issues due to snaking up tree roots. I did not pay for the service performed until a manager returned the next day to follow up to doublecheck that there were no more serious issues. Fortunately all was well. I was charged the original quote by the first technician even though others returned to doublecheck the drain to the outside and adjust the pipe under the sink.     The plumber they sent out, Bryan Priest, was great! Courteous, fixed the problem fairly quickly, gave me some excellent advice moving forward, and discovered a small leak, which he fixed free of charge. The problem was Mr. Rooter’s scheduling. They seem to have no problem promising what they can’t deliver. They scheduled me for 1 to 3pm on Saturday of the day I had the problem, which was great. But they called at 2:15pm and said they’d be late. Good enough. But at the end of the conversation, she tried to slip in: “Or we’ll just reschedule for tomorrow or Monday.” It was the casual nature in which she said it that I didn’t like; like it was no big deal if we had to wait that long, not to mention that we were having people over the next day. I kept trying to figure out how things went from 1 to 3pm on a Saturday to potentially sometime on Monday. Terrible. Fortunately, me pointing this out got me high on the list Sunday morning. Bryan came out and handled things in an otherwise very professional manner. The moral of the story: If you need same-day service, just be aware that they may change things up on you last second. Otherwise, they’re great.

    April 2024i inquired on a thursday via Thumbtack and got an appointment for friday. among them, the guys (Bryan, Jason, and Brandon) fixed multiple problems—2 clogged sinks, one clogged toilet (which ended up needing to be replaced), and another toilet that wasn’t flushing properly and needed a new handle installed) over two consecutive days (friday/saturday). one guy advised me re: trying to clear one drain myself, which i appreciated. work appears to be of a high quality, which i hope will be confirmed over time. my only complaints are minor: they should have notified me on friday when it became clear that the first guy was running late and wasn’t going to arrive during the two-hour window, and they could have done more/better cleanup at the end. otherwise, this was a good experience. i spent a lot—more than i’d imagined—but i think it was reasonable, given the number of tasks, the issues that arose, and the time it all took to complete.

    The best in the business. Came out on Sunday morning and took care of our problems like a true professional. They are now our go to business to handle any problems we have in the future. Sam Riddle was super. Know right away what was wrong and had all the parts on hand didn’t have to run somewhere to go pick it up. If you have a problem anytime make sure you call them and ask for Sam, you will not be sorry. Great service, on time, and they will not kill you on the price even on the weekend.     We called Mr Rooter and ended up needing quite a big job done. Needless to say it was a very stressful time. Everyone we have dealt with were great, especially Matt and Jordan! These guys are very hard workers and they exceeded our expectations. They showed up everyday on time and ready to work. They went out of their way to make sure we knew what expect each day. They were very respectful of our home and always gave plenty of notice prior to turning off any water or shutting down our working toilet. They cleaned up their mess every single day prior to leaving. Matt even worked all weekend long and worked late just to make sure we had our house back as soon as possible. We can’t say enough about how much we appreciate the attention to detail and hard work.     We were experiencing low water pressure in 2 of our bathrooms when I called Mr Rooter. They came out the same day and would only charge if we wanted the work done. John was amazing. He gave us the problem and showed us the “good, better, best” solution with an increase in price for each improved service. We opted for the Best and got more than we expected. He was at our home the first day until 7p then came early the next morning to finish and left well after 9p! John had to make several trips to Home Depot for additional parts and add an insane amount of labor so we expected the price to go up. No additional charges were added. It was the same price quote we agreed on although the service was twice what it should have been. I highly recommend John and Mr Rooter for your water pressure, drain, temperature, leaks and any other plumbing issues. They have professional and highly knowledgeable experts to handle whatever is needed.

    I am pleased with Brians work. He had to saw off the faucet in the kitchen. It caused a scratch/gouge on the sink leaving it rough and sharp to the touch. He and his manager Jason were able to smooth it down leaving a smooth surface. They had offered to reduce the cost, but I simply wanted it smoothed out. They worked together to meet my need and I am happy with the results. I will use Mr Rooter again for plumbing needs. ~Cindy

    We had a leak in our 20+ year old sink plumbing. Rodney was an expert and easily explained the problem and our options. He had the line replaced and wrapped up in no time. He went the extra mile to talk over some other repairs weve wanted done, providing us estimates and the process to complete them when were ready. Were already planning our next service and well be requesting Rodney for sure!
