    We were very pleased with the entire process and service that we received from EmPower Solar. Professional, quality materials and constant communication during wait period. Our system is installed and now we are only waiting on building inspector to approve then we go full solar. Our system has 26 400 watt panels with the Tesla Wall Block 3 Battery.     I was referred to Empower Solar through a friend. I can’t say enough about this company. From start to finish they communicated and walked me through every step. Beth is AMAZING! I was able to have a say in every aspect of the design and installation. I really felt like my wants and happiness were the main priority. The installation team was just as fantastic. They kept me updated with every step they were doing and were super clean. If you are looking for a top notch company that has experience and is on the leading edge of new technology, Empower is it!

    I considered installing solar panels for ecological and economical reasons. Using NYSERDA’s list of I met with 6 solar companies. Cost, product and service were top considerations. Price ranges were very broad, with the highest proposal double those in the lower range. EmPower wasn’t the lowest but had the most credible organization. Salesperson Beth was knowledgeable across the products, financing options, tax incentives and support that EmPower offered. Other companies were dubious in promoting supposed zero out-of-pocket expense.EmPower was more credible and trustworthy across the board. The project proposal assessed the engineering requirements, current and future energy needs and enhancements to my electrical infrastructure. Several EmPower departments provided milestones and progress updates. They responded to my calls and questions. Their knowledge and experience assured me that EmPower is an organization that competently handles solar installations and related energy requirements.This is not an overnight, off-the-shelf process. Customers need to know there are municipal and power company engagements which add to the project timeline. EmPower did deliver within the projected timeframe. I’m very satisfied with EmPower staff service and technical expertise, concluding with me highly recommending this company to those looking to join the solar energy community.Pictures taken during installation.

    Great service, had a couple of micro inverters not reporting on my pergola system. We first tried to reconnect them online, couldn’t get them to report. The service team came by a few days later and got everything reading again.

    This Is for an ongoing project but the experience so far has been amazing with EmPower Solar. From the beginning with Jeff I knew I was in good hands and quickly was able to accommodate project modifications I wanted along the way due to increased energy usage. The installation and onboarding team were very professional and did a good job overall as well. My panels and Tesla 3 battery look amazing. Can’t wait for them to be activated after Pseg approvalUPDATE: System is up. Took a bit longer than expected to get PSEG approval but the EmPower team followed through daily until PSEG finally approved. They also honored all offers that Sunpower had made. Will definitely reach out to them in the future for upgrades as long as Jeff and Nancy are around.

    Really like their Salesperson Gen who provided professional advice and very reasonable pricing. When all other companies quote me a high price and told me they would match other company’s price with$10-$15k lower than their original quote, Empower is the only company that quote me a reasonable price from the beginning.Installation is clean and fast. Job was done well and the person who installed the panels answered all my question.The only reason why i reduce 1 star here is the wait time for the installation. Mine is a special case with contract being re-signed once but the whole process took 6 months and I am waiting for DOB inspection to start using solar.

    My experience with EmPower started when I was comparing solar panels and installation companies and my first contact there was Matthew Brill. I selected EmPower primarily because of the way Matthew approached me and my project. He is knowledgeable, professionals and was patient enough to run through several scenarios with me.As someone who works in the design & construction process, I was also extremely impressed with EmPowers design and permitting teams. All along the way, a dedicated Project Manager kept me appraised and was available for any question I had.The Installation was done in less than 2 days and the team was courteous, knowledgeable, clean and most important in these Covid days, very very safe.I have posted some progress photos of the installation. I highly recommend Empower and their Sunpower panels.

    Amazing Sunpower panels, world class service and outstanding experience. We initially installed 43 panels a year ago (1/2021) and then added an additional 12 panels several months later. We have generated so much energy and the savings keep coming.Kyle Solomon is the reason we started with Empower, and keep recommending it to our friends. Kyle was professional, knowledgeable and knew the product inside out. He was patient with all our detailed questions and provided much assurance that this investment was worth it. He was able to calculate the numbers and articulate the entire process in a way that anyone could understand. We never felt rushed or pressured when we talked to Kyle. He was extremely professional and we couldnt have ask for a better Sales Professional.Byron was extremely efficient and patient with us as well. He gave us systematic updates every 2 weeks and we felt he guided and hand-held us through the entire installation process. He got our plans approved by the DOB so expediently and our panels installed in such a short timeline. Byron then coordinated with Jared (who came to install). We then had Alexandra coordinate our 12 add-on panels; again Jared came to install.I wanted to thank you Empower and the staff weve dealt with for all the help theyve provided from start to finish. There are a lot of solar companies out there and you guys made the experience as comfortable and reassuring as possible. And you were mindful with our request to get it installed ASAP.IF YOURE GOING TO INSTALL SOLAR PANELS- GET THEM ALL INSTALLED IN ONE SHOT. DONT UNDERSHOOT THE NUMBER AND ADD PANELS LATER. The only criticism I can give is that when they came to install the additional 12 panels-- they put too many panels on 1 string so the breaker kept going off-- leaving us with days to weeks without production on multiple panels. It took 6 site visits over 3 months (May-July 2021) to trouble shoot out which string was overloaded and to fix the problem.Overall, we felt not only did we get the most reliable solar panels in the market; the buying/installing experience was equal in caliber to the reputation of the solar panels. You guys live up to the brand of Sunpower. Thanks again for the great great experience.

    The installation crew led by Daryl and supervised by Chris King were excellent. But, the practice of having offsite people sending instructions to the onsite crew, to me, is a flawed way to do business. The offsite person created confusion that almost resulted in a messy installation as well as wasting my time, the contractors and the onsite crew. The project manager was also not on hand for the installation. I was not impressed by this mode of working.

    Above all, I have to say that Jeff and Nancy Cohen were the absolute best people I could have worked with from EmPower Solar. They were essential in addressing all of my concerns, guiding me through every step, and ultimately helping me make the decision to go solar. Even after the contract was signed and the installation was completed, Jeff and Nancy remained easily accessible and responded to my questions quickly and efficiently. Their efforts ensured the entire process was incredibly smooth.When EmPower Solar installed my panels, there was one item that needed to be revisited, and they promptly came one morning and took care of it when they had some time. Throughout the entire experience, they were nothing short of professional.Not long after the installation, I learned that SunPower, the company responsible for the warranty on my panels, had filed for bankruptcy. Naturally, I became concerned, as my roof, panels, and inverters were supposed to have a 25-year warranty. I reached out to Jeff and Nancy again, feeling anxious about the situation. Thankfully, Tara and Matt also stepped in, reassuring me with clear explanations about the bankruptcy and letting me know that they believed the warranties would be transferred to another company. I finally received the paperwork and all of my 19 panels are covered by warranty. Im awaiting the app update from EmPower Solar to continue to monitor my panels as this was part of my contract that I signed.One of the standout aspects of working with EmPower Solar is their excellent communication. They kept me updated throughout every stage of the project, from securing permits to installation and eventually closing out those permits, always making sure I knew what to expect at each point.In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend EmPower Solar. My electric bills for the past few months are exactly what it was told to me thatll be.     EmPower was nothing but excellent in every aspect of my having gone solar. My sales representative/department provided answers to any and all questions I had about moving to solar and what was involved each step of the way. She was also very flexible, patient, and understanding and stayed with me as a changed my mind on various parts of the project. In addition, my project manager kept in touch with me and updated me during each step of review, approval, and scheduling the installation. The best part of it all was that the installation went smoothly and quickly. The complete system was up in less than two days and actually running (producing electricity) midway through the second day of installation. Empower handled the entire design, permitting, and town review process from beginning to end. Very important to know is that their components, from the panels themselves to the support structure or perhaps the best on the market and, best of all, the system works exactly as described and promised. It’s a beautiful beautiful thing to see these panels run my house and build up credits just about every day since it’s been installed. I highly recommend EmPower as the company to consider for your solar installation. The payback in my case will be between six and seven years at the most.

    Empower Solar has a great product and an excellent team. From the initial sales visit through the installation, the team did a great job. My experience with the Sales team was great from the start. I received excellent and timely responses. Regarding installation, I insisted on running the attic wiring down the basement via an electrical conduit that was not easy to navigate but the Empower Solar team pulled it off! I am looking forward to working with Empower Solar in the future on another solar panel and/or solar battery storage project.

    From start to finish, everything went very smoothly with our new solar panels installation. Pete did a great job at explaining everything to us and making sure we were satisfied with everything along the way. The installation went very well, all 32 panels were installed in a day and the guys left everything clean and were very respectful of our house. Mike came back a couple days later to set up the online monitoring and was very accommodating. I love the app, which allows us to keep track of our electric usage and production.     We had the best experience with EmPower Solar from consultation to installation. They were very professional and helpful at addressing any concerns we had. Beth, Byron, Mike, Neil were the best. We loved their honesty, friendliness and service. Theyre very easy to approach and are excellent at responding to our questions and concerns. Weve had the panels 5 months now and it has exceeded or expectations. Compared to last year, our electricity bill has decreased by 60%. It will only get better as Summer approaches.     EmPower by SunPower highly recommended, I did a lot of research before decided to go with EmPower by SunPower, their proposal was not the cheaper but I would say they are the best. Great communication, an assigned project manager handling your project from start to finished and let you know every step of the way in progress. The crews that installing the system did an excellent jobs, good workmanship and they not using cheap material.My system commissioned couple days ago, I have sixteen X22 360 watt panel, it produced average 27 kWh/day even its not 100% sunny day, it cover all my daily electric usage with spare to sent back to the grid.Still waiting for final inspection to close out the building Dept permit, according to my project manager it takes approximately a month, will update that when certificate of completion received.It’s too early to say 100% satisfy will update from time to time for a long terms review for the progress of the system reliability and stability of power production.

    The folks were great from the sales team to the installers and support. The no pressure and professional sales team got me interested. After lots of homework, I came back a year later. After signing on, they hit every deadline as per the way they laid it out. The install team was great. They were very professional, quick, clean and thorough. The post install checklist was quite comprehensive. Best of all, the system has been running no issue for months. My electric bill was around 11 or 12 bucks last month and itll be the same this month. Im already overproducing electric, so these credits will go forward so I can use them in November, December, and January when I dont produce as much. They handle all the permitting. I received all permits and my final certificates of completion from the town building department as promised. Great team behind an excellent product. If you are expecting to be in your current home for many years to come, the investment is worth looking at. I recommend you put these folks on your short list of vendors to research.

    We are very happy with the whole process. If not for COVID and installation having to get pushed back, I would rate my experience as close to perfection as possible. Scott McDonnell was honest, caring and transparent as a salesperson. I never felt like he tried to sell me, but to educate me as to why solar was a good decision. When installation happened, I couldnt be happier with Dean, Gerard and their crew (sorry guys I forgot the other names). We havent had a sunny day since I installed and we are still generating power and happy.

    This is a followup review from my original installation a few years ago. We installed solar panels with Empower Solar. It seemed like a good idea at the time and Empower did a superb job at every step of the installation. From Mat Laytons first visit where he explained everything and then checked out our electric panel to the final post-installation inspection by NYC, they really made everything so smooth.Fast forward post-pandemic, and 2020 saw us using 27% more electricity due to online schooling, to work from home to watching movies at home. Even with all that our solar panels still covered ~80% of our electricity. Im happier than ever with the decision to go solar, and with Empower Solar. Thanks guys!

    I was thoroughly impressed with EmPowers whole process - from initial sales consultation to communication with project management through to installation. Our saleswoman, Georgia, was very communicative and knowledgeable about the whole process.All of the appointments along each step of the process was carried out on time and professionally. For no good reason, I thought it would be a slog to get through permitting and have multiple days where people were banging on my roof, and Im pleased to report zero resemblance to my expectations. Permits went through quickly and everything was installed in one day.The installation foreman, Mike, was great to work with and his crew (Dean and Bert) were both also super efficient on a 90 degree day with LOTS of humidity. Many thanks to these guys for working so quickly on such a terribly hot day.Id absolutely work with EmPower again!

    My first contact with the company was Corey Roberts. He was excellent, very knowledgeable, super attitude without making me feel pressured and he followed up with informational emails promptly. Everyone I’ve dealt with in the company since then has been very professional and courteous to include Alexandra Buckley and Tim (the engineer). I would like to make special mention of Mike and his crew of installers. They were professional and clearly have an excellent work ethic and attitude. This is all worthy of five stars, however, the one snag I ran into was the additional charge for using a credit card which was significant.     This is the first real problem I have had with my system, which was installed about 4 years ago. The diagnosis and repair of the system was handled in the same professional manner as was the original installation. From my first phone call to Empower until the repair was completed, everything was done properly and on time. Empower Solar remains the best contractor I have ever employed. The system itself has done better than promised and I have not paid anything for electricity since it was installed. In fact, it overproduces enough energy to give me a credit balance on my electric bill.

    We originally met with Matt Brill to learn about the solar programs offered by EmPower. We didnt feel pressured from him like we did with salespeople from other solar companies, and he explained the programs in a clear and easy to understand manner. We eventually chose to purchase the panels, and EmPower kept in touch every step of the way, from securing the solar loan and village permits to system design and installation. My husband oversaw the installation and said the technicians were very respectful and kept him in the loop regarding progress and explained basic system function afterwards.

    I can not say enough good things about this company and I’m not even going to use them! Corey was completely upfront and honest with me-we simply did not have a good roof for solar and the cost would not be worth the benefit. He spent an hour of his time convincing me why it would be a bad idea when just the day before my husband was ready to sign a contract with a different company to have them installed. Corey saved us so much time and money with his honesty, integrity and professionalism! How refreshing to meet someone that is genuinely honest.     SunPower (EmPower) was amazing from the very first introduction to completion. I started reviewing solar systems in May of this year and reached out to Ed Olsen through a friend who had his system installed late last year. Ed is extremely knowledgable and walked my wife I through the process in person, over the phone and email whenever we had questions. He stayed in constant communications after we signed the contract for install and even came by after the install was completed to ensure we were satisfied and answer any remaining questions we might have. I have to say in dealing with numerous companies/contractors I have never been surprised to the upside. SunPower also fast-tracked the install so we could get the most savings during the summer months (our install was completed early August). From sales to engineering, product management, project management and finally the installers (I only had the opportunity to personally meet Dave - the foreman - and Dave one of the installers; went well above my expectations) every person/service was top notch. Id also like to premise the above by stating, it is extremely rare that I would give a review online (good or bad), but I personally wanted to thank Ed et al at SunPower for their service.     Where should I start, like many of you I had also done tons of research and decided to go with empower solar. Matt who was the salesperson had went in detail explaining all the different models they had to offer, he helped me decide the best panels that would fit my budget and needs for the house, passing me to David E. who was the project manager, from the beginning of the installation till the end, David also went above and beyond to make sure everything goes smooth and easy. Sunpower panels by Empower Solar has been by far the best investment I have done. Many companies would just want your business but empower is different, they are honest, will spend hours if they have to answering all your concerns, and will go above and beyond for their customers.

    Empower installed our solar system (21 panels) 2 1/2 years ago (May 2018). After the site inspection and design were all completed and the contract signed, the installation was completed in 1 (long) day. Kudos to their expert team of installers!It has performed flawlessly since that time and delivered, to date (January 2021), 107% of our energy usage! Late this fall 2020 we passed the 20,000 KWH mark! Last May (2020), as we were entering the air-conditioning season, our production stood at almost 120% of usage.We couldnt be more pleased.     Having EmPower install solar Panels on my house has been the best investment I have made since I purchased my home. It’s a wonderful feeling knowing that my home is powered by clean renewable energy that has no negative impact on the environment unlike fossil fuels. My utility bill went from over $150 a month to just over $11 a month and once a year I get a credit for selling my excess electricity that I produce to PSEG. The panels have been so efficient that I produced more electricity then I consumed so I decided to purchase an electric car to charge at home which allowed me to save more money since I don’t have to purchase gas for my car.     We had our system installed on October 2013 and due to the bad weather we did not have alot of sun which had us concerned but the system still captured sun to generate solar power. Overall we are sill have generated more power that we have used.     Its been almost a year since we started our Solar journey with EmPower. We made the decision to switch because of a promotion through my employer, as well as the federal tax incentive to make the switch. We also needed a new roof, so that helped too. The entire process with EmPower was quick and painless. After being referred to EmPower, we met Bethany Austin, our sales rep. She scheduled a time that worked for us, even on weekends, and was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. She truly has her customers best interests at heart. It did take several months for the town to approve our permit, which was no fault of EmPowers. The towns delay did force us to move our project into the following tax year, but EmPower did the right thing by giving us the difference in tax incentive that we were losing out on. The install itself took 3 days. It would normally have taken 2, but the weather didnt exactly cooperate. The install team worked hard, were efficient, considerate, and professional. Once it was complete, they gave us a walk-through and showed us how to use the app to monitor our energy output. In the end, it was completely worth it. I look forward to sunny days when we dont have to use electricity from the grid! Thank you to the entire EmPower team - Bethany and Byron especially for being on top of our project!

Everybody- our salesperson, the design team, project management, sales administrator - was patient, kind and thorough, explaining everything clearly and step by step. The installation crew was courteous and professional. They worked hard, nonstop the entire day despite the oppressive heat. They were respectful of our property and thoroughly cleaned the yard upon completion of the installation. The project looks amazing and we cant wait to see the benefits of solar power!

    After much thought and preparing for my transition to Solar. Empowered installed my system in Nov 2010. I had a very minor issue with the electrical contractor subbed out by Empower, but the work actually done by Empower was flawless.The system has been though two major Nor-Easters and Sandy. As I reside in the Long Beach-Atlantic Beach area this is remarkable that my system has actually survived and exceeded expectation for ease of use, reliability and production output. Over time, I have reduced my electrical usage by installing LED lighting where possible throughout the home. This adjustment now allows me to charge my two Chevy Volts from the systems output so my actually usage of electricity is low and consumption of gasoline is virtually nil. Nine months out of the year my electrical bill is about $11.00 (admin fee from PSEG). The other three winter months is variable, but still very low when you evaluate over a 12 month period. I might add that the home has electric oven, cook top, high output microwave and electric radiant heat (secondary to my gas fired furnace) so I am would actually be a high residential user of electric if not for the panels.In retrospect, this was a sound financial investment and I consider my lifestyle as a contributor to the ecological welfare of the planet.Thank you Empower for your expertise and quality work.

    From start to finish everyone at this company did a great job. It was such an easy process with no BS! There was no rush to sign anything and every part of the process is laid out for you for your own research and review. Also, having the best price (by far) for the system designed for MY house was also a great selling point! From Sales to Project Manager down to the Installers, everyone did a great job and so far I’m loving the results. Transparency - I spoke to Matt Brill in Sales, who is truly passionate about sustainability, which is very refreshing compared to other sales people I spoke with whose primary objective was to sell and close. Matt was very transparent about cost, which was one of the reasons why I decided to sign a contract with EmPower.2. Equipment - SunPower is the premium brand in Solar PV. As the panels and inverter will stay on my roof for a few decades, Ive decided for a more expensive option with quality product and hasel-free warranty.3. Professionalism - On installation day, a crew of 4 people led by Dave Ezzo arrived bright and early at 7am and finished everything in one day. They did a clean job and was very polite and patient in explaining what they will do and the progress. Project manager also kept constant communications on whats next.Tips:1. Educate yourself before calling the companies. I recommend 2-3 hours of reading in total or about 5-10 articles. Most of the work you need to do is limited to the initial due diligence process, once you decide on a company and sign a contract, the company and project manager takes care of everything so there is no more with for you.2. Dont only focus on the panels. Inverters are equally important so dont neglect them.3. Call at least 3 companies and compare metrics. A good mix of national and local companies is recommended because while martial companies benefit from econony of scale, local companies have advantage of familiarity with local rules (e.g. permit process with local building department) and regulations (e.g. fire code).4. Pay attention to after sales service. How are problems handled? How soon can someone come?5. Buy, dont lease! If you cant pay cash, get an EFS loan, interest rate is very reasonable.6. Keep records as you will most likely need to refer to them when claiming Federal and State tax rebates (which is sustantial) or when being assessed for property value increase.Go solar and help with sustainability!

    I am very happy with EmPower Solar. I did a lot of research and had many quotes from various companies. What stood out to me the most was Jeff and Nancy Cohen both answered my questions and if they did not know the answer, they said they would get back to me, which they did. I did not feel rushed or pushed in anyway. One of the many reasons of why I had gone with this company. They followed up as well after the panels were installed.Jeff and Nancy had sent a drone out to my house to view the roof and the amount of sunlight. I was very impressed by the pictures and their presentation that they had presented. They were the only company out of 9 that had come to my house to do a very thorough inspection.I had this system installed at the end of March of 2024. They said that I would have a hookup fee with PSEG and that I would only pay max $20 a month. Every bill that I have received from PSEG from April until now in January has been under $17. I have saved so much money so far! This was definitely the right decision.Thank you again EmPower Solar for doing a great job!
