Ryan and team were the best! I got quotes from 3 different contractors, all came in at around the same price but Ryan just had so much more attention to detail. Everything I asked for from Ryan he was able to do from mitre corners/picture frame, from cement footers, to fascia sizes - I went down a rabbit hole in decks and picked exactly what I wanted (even designing/modeling it) and Ryan was always willing to accommodate as well as give his own suggestions that would work best. I debated on railing and he was able to advise and really happy with the outcome. He’s always around to answer questions, he’s polite, has a great crew that were all very respectful to me and my property. Everyone that comes to the house compliments deck even people we don’t know. Will be using Ryan again for any outdoor work we have! When getting a deck you want a carpenter that is going to care about detail and it really shows in his work. Highly recommend.

Ryan Monk is excellent at what he does. He tore down and replaced our rotting and failing stairway. He replaced it with something that met our custom needs. Ryan has great contracting habits. His estimations are well detailed and make sense. He is insured and will provide you an ETA on job start, a rare trait among his peers. His craftsmanship is solid. His ability to work through impediments is well valued, he encountered several challenges during the job and was committed to not just working through them, but incorporating the work he did in the larger flow of the house and the yard. Ryan worked through the job at a great pace and it is clear he is driven and motivated. His price was fair for the large amount of work he had to tackle on my stair job. All of this culminates into a person who cares about what he delivered and his work resulted in in a great job. Highly recommend him and look forward to working with him again.

We had a tremendous experience with Ryan Monk! Can’t say enough about how well the experience went from initial consultation to completion. My wife and I are very pleased with our new pool deck, and bonus, Ryan also took care of the paver walkway and retaining wall!

Ryan was quick to respond, came out gave me a more than reasonable quote. Scheduled a date and came to build. He was very professional and meticulous. He did not cut corners, and made sure everything was perfect. You will be hiring someone that is a true carpenter, not a handy man, deck company, or general contractor, the expertise shows in the end result. Highly recommended and will be using him for future projects!

We had obtained multiple quotes and decided to go with Ryan and Monks Carpentry LLC. Ryan was great from the beginning- very responsive, professional, and willing to work with us to meet our needs! We had a section of our deck rebuilt and our stairs replaced with trex material. Ryan was awesome and I’d recommend him and his company to anyone in the area!
