    I had John Tuttle and an associate come out and give me a free estimate after the major hail storm in spring of 2024. While they gave me a clean bill of health, they did take the time to inspect the roof and sidings and took thorough pictures. I appreciate the honesty of the company, and I always want to support the local businesses in Battle Creek. ROACH is the one to support! Thank you for the free inspection and the reminder that I can follow up again in a few months to make sure theres still no damage after the roof had time to expand and contract from the season changes.     5 Stars!!! And here’s why:Question for the reader - is your time important?I called 4 different companies to replace my garage and carport roofs. Out of the 4 only 2 companies called me back. One set a date and time for a free estimate, and then didn’t show, I had to call to find out what happened and then set another appointment time.I called Roach, made an appt for the following Thursday at 0900. (Again, while waiting for the other company; didn’t show or call at the new appt time. As of today I still haven’t heard from the other company.)John from Roach arrived exactly on time with a call before his arrival. He inspected the job, listened to what I had to say. And as promised, I had an appraisal the next day. FYI, even the drivers that brought materials were awesome!Once the materials arrived it only took 2 days for complete removal and installation of new roof. In addition to that, the new supporting carport wall was installed during that time.The clean up crew left our yard better than they found it. No nails, screws or debris to be found! We are very excited about the job done and the professional, courteous and friendly crews that completed the work.Roach Home Improvement in Battle Creek, MI is my go to for home repairs now.     We have used Roach Improvement several times…….. a roof repair from storm damage, later a new roof, additional attic insulation & baffles. A huge project involved removing sidewall insulation, cedar shake siding and then added Tyvek wrap, insulation and new siding. We were always pleased with the workmanship, quality of materials, professional behavior and their communication regarding our project status. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Each day scraps & leftover materials were removed keeping our yard neat. The crew was on time and explained their process thoroughly.     I had another roofing company start removing shingles from my home when they were to be removing my neighbors roof. Luckily they were stopped before it went too far and they repaired the roof. I had Roach come and look at the work and they found they had done a shabby job, shingles were already lifting. They gave me an estimate and delt with the whole situation quickly and very professionally. I also thought the cost for repairing the repair job was very reasonable.

    Hail damage necessitated us to have a new roof installed.Roach was very prompt and courteous on giving us an estimate.The crew came on a 90 degree Monday in early September and stripped the old roof off into a dumpster which they provided. I was impressed by how hard they worked on such a hot day!Tuesday morning right back at it and installed a brand new roof and were done that afternoon, and I have a large roof.New gutters installed to perfection.The crew was meticulous about clean up of all scraps and old nails.I would not hesitate to recommend Roach to anyone for roof installation.

    Following the June l, 2019 hail storm in Battle Creek, I found later I did have hail damage. It was late July when I had the insurance inspection, then waited for the claim to be processed and payments to be made to me. During that time I contacted several businesses for bids, but I was most impressed by Roach Home Improvements personnel bid. They were honest when they said they were booked up until spring. So I chose to wait for them, went to their showroom and chose my shingles and began the wait. As promised, one day in early March 2020 when we were having a warm spell, they gave me a call with the date they would be coming. Soon I had shingles delivered, and then the dumpster. And on the last warm day before the weather was to change back to cold and snow, the team arrived and got to work stripping off the old roof. As each section was stripped off, another team was applying the new shingles, and they were nearly completely done when at five p.m. cold rain and icy hail started! They continued to work through it, finishing the entire roof, clean-up, and final inspection by 7 p.m. I appreciate their work ethic, the roof job (looks great) and the kind employees who worked on my site..     Our house and garage received extensive hail damage on 6/1/19. I wanted to hire the best local contractors in the Battle Creek area and Roach Home Improvement was rated number one. Not only did I want to keep the business in the local area, but I also wanted the ease of knowing should I ever need to contact them they are readily available.Repairs on my home and garage consisted of roofing, siding, fascia board, trim, and gutters. Worked started in early August and was completed in early September. The team of contractors did an outstanding job not only with removal and replacement, but they were extremely thorough in their clean up efforts too! After completion we received many great compliments on the workmanship, design, and the color of our house, which is Forest Green with White Trim and the Gable Ends are of a Brown Cedar Shake Design.I can honestly say, this is the best call I have made to date and my wife and I are extremely satisfied with the end results. Should I ever need a contractor for exterior or interior work they will be first on my list.So if your looking for the best local contractor in the Battle Creek area I would suggest calling Roach Home Improvement first.     This post is on behalf of my father who had the service.In 2020 they did my fathers roof, Robert Wenger. They did a wonderful job of cleaning up, fixed divets in yard from their vehicles and everything was done and completed in a timely manner. When he had a few tree branches come down and damaged the roof. Roach Home Improvement LLC came and put a tarp on the roof. They then assessed everything and repaired it. They are very professional, polite and punctual.

    WOW .. all I can say is wow.. these guys are terrific. To start we had roof damage on 2 parts of a very large house, 1843 ish build date, over 4000 sq feet. They came in and cleared work area, took off roof,replaced plywood and added new shingles, well they fixed supports and flashing and all that. They worked into the evening. The next day they came and did the same to the roof on the add on room. Then they started on the facia and trim to the upper roof. On their 3rd day they completed things and went with my Dad to inspect. Beautiful.. definitely would use them again and will be recommending them to others...
