    The technician Ryan arrived within 2 hours of the call and did a thorough inspection of all components of the AC System. He found the problem and recommended a couple of repair options with the pros and cons of each and with clear pricing and timelines. The repair was done quickly and professionally and he followed up the next day to make sure everything was back up and running properly. Great service.

    Ryan and Heritage were great! Ryan was very professional and helpful. He diagnosed the problem as with the equipment and determined it was still under warranty. Heritage did not charge for this as it was clear it was a warranty issue. The 8000$ replacement unit was without cost other than install. Talk about standing by your work and helping a customer!

    Ryan was polite and respectful as he arrived within the 2 hour time slot. He immediately brought his bag of tools and tested my 3 heating zones. Which includes my water heater. It was about a year and a half since my new furnace was installed and everything was tested out in working condition.All my thermostats controls were also in good working order.

    How very thankful we are for Heritage Home Services. Our hot water heater was showing signs of age. One morning we woke up to find that it was leaking from the top and the excess water was seeping onto the exhaust fan! We already had an appointment scheduled for a quote, but this had now become an emergency. Heritage switched gears quickly and sent Luis to our home. He replaced the hot water heater with a better one, same day. Luis absolutely knew what he was doing and everything was right again in no time!! Thank you Luis and Heritage !!

    We lost our heating system on a very cold day just before Christmas. Called them and asked for getting a new system and they gave me a date after the holiday. When I explained to them that we did not have heat, they sent in an estimator immediately. Nate came and evaluated our setup and sent us a quote with three options in a few hours. We selected a system and right after Christmas a team came and installed our system. Installers were all very professional and did a very neat installation and cleaned up everything.We are planning on updating our second system and we have received a quote.Highly recommend Muirfield.In January, we got our second system installed by Muirfield again since they had done a good job with our first floor unit. Needless to say Mike and another person who installed did a very professional job. Installation was clean and the system works well.A few days later when I had completed payment for the first system, Muirfields office filed a rebate on my behalf with National Grid and they sent me a copy of the filing. I was thinking of doing it myself and it was all done. That was a good surprise. Thanks again.

    I am new to the area and, after getting a bunch of different quotes, I chose Muirfield Mechanical because they were able to explain different options and pricing clearly, they were friendly and always got back to me in a timely manner and had competitive pricing. They also installed my mini split sooner than expected when they had a cancellation. I really appreciate how willing they were to teach us how to use the split and clean the filters too. Overall would definitely recommend them for your AC/heating needs!

    I had an emergency to replace a leaking shut off valve under thetoilet tank in the bathroom. Most of the companies I called after working hours on Friday night left the only one option to leave a voice message with the promise of the call return. The Heritage Home Service dispatcher offered same day or next day (Saturday) service without extra charge for the weekend. I was impressed by that.I specifically want to express my gratitude to the company technician William Semler. The high quality of the work done to replace leaking shut off valve is the only one part of my satisfaction of the service itself. The reasonable cost of services is also needs to be mentioned. I recommend Heritage Home Services for all of you in case you run into emergency situation with the plumbing system in the house. You also will be satisfied if their technician William Semler gets a chance to serve you.

    We decided to replace out 31 year old and 25 year old gas furnaces with electric heat pumps. We received three quotes. Muirfield was the most affordable option, and used Bosch appliances which was a big plus for us.The crew came out once to take measurements and scope out the full job, and then came back the following week to install both units. They were on time, every day, were pleasant, diligent, and neat. They completed the entire job in 2.5 days. They did a job cleanup after they finished. They took the time to set up the remote control for the thermostats.In summary, the price was fair, the work crews were excellent, and we are very happy with the experience. Highly recommend.

    Ryan was fantastic. Our gas boiler broke early Sunday morning in freezing temperatures and the cause was perplexing. Ryan spent hours diagnosing on Sunday morning, managed to find the parts required first thing Monday morning, and after several hours wrestling with it throughout that day, remaining patient and never giving up, he had us warm again by Monday afternoon. From the initial appointment to the very last installation day, all staff were professional, informative, helpful & respectful of our space.     I had an excellent experience working with Muirfield Mechanical Services regarding installing a central heat pump in my older home and highly recommend them. The team did excellent high quality work, kept everything tidy inside and out and even spent extra time with me to program the thermostats and explain how the system will work in conjunction with my existing gas boiler. One of the team members came back a few days later to ensure everything was in good order and Linda in the office got me set up with a heat loan and helped me to apply for the tax rebate.     Muirfield completely replaced both my HVAC as well as hot water systems. They provided a thoughtful, timely estimate to convert my HVAC and water heater to heat pump. They designed a plan and then executed on this in a timely fashion. My HVAC was complicated and they handled it smoothly. My hot water now runs smoothly (heat pump system) and Im a very satisfied customer.     One of our kids found that one of the two hot water boilers we had was leaking in our basement. After further investigation we made the decision that we needed to replace both the boiler and the hot water tanks. We called around to 5 different companies and having used Muirfield and the great experience we had with them we moved forward with them. They picked a warmer day to do the installation as it was a 2 day job. What I can say about the process was that they were responsive, reasonable and professional throughout the process. I would absolutely use them again for any HVAC or heating work and would highly recommend them.

    Jeff and Mike and the project manager Nate did an excellent job in planning and the installing of my Mitsubishi ductless heat pump. Nate explained all the nuisances of the Mass Save rebate process which was not straight forward. They arrived on time, were very professional and efficient in removing my old system and installing the new one. The inside work was protected by drop cloths and left very clean. Havent used my system yet but look forward to the heating option which I didnt have on my old AC unit. I highly recommend Muirfield for ductless heating and AC.

    Muirfield just replaced our boiler. We got a lot of quotes for this job and are thrilled we chose this company!The office staff was thorough, prompt, and helpful responding to my questions which made the process so much easier.The installation team was prompt arriving, kept to their installation timeline, and seem to have done an incredible job. While boiler replacement is certainly not my area of expertise, I can tell that they were attentive to every detail, from the low-profile intake/exhaust fitting to placing the boiler in a way that gives us much more storage space to anchoring pipes solidly.

    Our AC Compressor died in the middle of a heat wave, much to the consternation of my 9-months-pregant wife. Muirfield was able to work with us to source a replacement and get it installed super quick, all around a holiday weekend as well. Nathan was incredibly helpful and understanding, and we couldnt have asked for better service from the tech who came out to diagnose the issue or those who did the installation of the new unit. Denise and Linda were both very patient with me while I called probably too often as I scrambled to find a solution to our 90 degree house.I didnt exactly cost compare, as expediency was our priority, but Muirfield was clear and transparent with their costs and were willing to discuss options with me to find the right unit.

    I first starting using this company about 5 years ago when our old AC system was dying. They were so prompt with coming out to quote and the install was so fast that the system was in when I finally got the phone call back from the 3rd company I was hoping to get a quote from - had to say sorry, already have a new system in! Theyve been great for yearly maintenance as well. Fast forward to a the AC dying at the animal shelter on a blistering day - Denise squeezed the shelter in despite not being a previous client, and the AC was up and running with a couple hours of my pleading phone call. This company is honest, experienced, and worth giving your business to.

    When my 70gallon hot water tank was leaking during thanksgiving holidays, I called few local plumbers for a quotation to replace with new tankless water heater. Muirfield (Jeff of Sales) gave me the quotation which is very reasonable comparing to others. After finalizing them with 50% deposit, they started the job within 2 days. Matthew came and completed the entire installation professionally from start to finish (including wearing masks in the house) and did a great job. After the job was completed, the team of 4 came next day after a big storm and removed the old 70gallon hot water tank in 30 minutes. Amazing team. Finally, Lisa at office applied Mass rebate on behalf of me. Total complete solution and I wouldnt hesitate to use Muirfield again!!

    Muirfield Mechanical has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. After they provided us with a quote to replace our old boiler, that old equipment failed on a cold morning. Muirfield sent someone the same day to keep our old boiler going until the new one was put in.     We recently contracted with Muirfield Mechanical to install two mini-split heat pumps. They were one of four contractors from whom we received bids, and their bid was both timely and competitive. They are a Mitsubishi Diamond installer, which means that Mitsubishi’s warranty is extended to 12 years instead of 10. The product manager, Nate, was very helpful in explaining where to place the heat pumps, and was an excellent problem-solver in managing a supply chain issue that emerged during the process. The installers were professional and always on-time. The electrician Muirfield uses, Bogen Electric, did an excellent job with the electrical hook-up. Additionally, Muirfield’s office manager took care of registering our product warranties for us, and filed the rebate form with our local electrical company. We are very pleased with the heat pumps, and highly recommend Muirfield Mechnical.

    We had our 14 year old Carrier heat pump replaced with a Mitsubishi system - outdoor unit, main air handler, and added a split ductless system to a previously unconditioned space. Muirfield did a great job - waited until the winter weather broke a bit and we had heat in 2 days. Main drive was to get the unheated space heated and improve on the brutal electrical monthly bills.     We have used Muirfield a few times now and loved each experience. The first was to install three mini-split units in our upstairs in a rush before our baby was born. They were fast and responsive to get these installed quickly. The units worked so well we had them install another unit downstairs for heating and cooling as well as a Kumo cloud system. They are responsive, patient and careful in their work. They also noted issues with our 1st and 2nd floor being on the same zone, they came up with a cost effective solution to split the zones so both floors are comfortable. The office staff is fantastic coordinating rebates, paperwork and billing. I have recommended them to friends and will continue to do so!

    We contracted with Muirfield to install a Bosch heat pump for our heating and cooling needs using existing duct work. We enrolled in the MassSave program for this project. We have a two-story house with six large rooms with nine-foot ceilings totaling about 1,700 square feet. We found Muirfield through Boston Consumers Checkbook where they were rated highly for quality and price. Before selecting Muirfield, we also talked with and received quotes from three other reputable firms recommended by friends. The Muirfield installation team worked effectively and efficiently and took time to answer our questions as they worked. We had a minor problem after the project was completed with a piece of ducting coming loose. Muirfield responded promptly and took care of the issue. Muirfield subcontracts their electrical work, using the same contractor for most projects. Their subcontractor also worked efficiently and effectively and their work included upgrading our electric service to 200 amp. Including that upgrade in our project probably contributed to the uneven communication between Muirfield and their electrical subcontractor. Muirfield’s office staff were great: efficient, responsive, and friendly. Overall, we are very pleased with our experience working with Muirfield and the new heating/cooling system they installed.Part 2 - I called Heritage/Muirfield 18 months after our install because of a new sound coming from our compressor that suggested some part of it might not be happy. The whole system has been working just fine and weve been pleased with it. Jason stopped by and, perhaps predictably :), the sound had gone away. Jason discussed with me the sound both my wife and I had heard and checked the panel controls. All seemed OK. So it goes. However, in our discussions Jason provided much useful information on how our system worked. His depth of knowledge and ability to explain what he knew was extremely helpful. Heritage is fortunate to have working for them someone with Jasons depth of knowledge, communication skills, and commitment to helping customers!

He was transparent about the costs and did a great job with removing the old toilet and putting in the new one. He was thorough, courteous, and very professional.     Muirfield Mechanical did an excellent installation job of our complex home heating system, including replacing an AC unit with a heat-pump to provide cooling and heat to our hot air system, a mini-split system to replace a existing gas boiler, and a backup instantaneous hot water system for our solar hot water system.     They installed a Mitsubishi Split Duct unit in our basement family room. They were a suggested installer from the Newton HeatSmart coach and they did an excellent job. After reviewing several options, they provided a prompt estimate, and arrived exactly when they said. Jeff was very responsive, and the installation was fast and flawless, even though they encountered a couple of unexpected challenges with our home. They complete all paperwork and were very thorough and professional with all of our interactions. On top of everything else, their prices were very competitive. I would not hesitate to use them again.

    I utilized the Mass Save energy assessment services to start the process for a new furnace (I had a Weathermatic from 1968) and new AC to replace a failing system. Muirfield was recommended by a friend, and I couldnt be happier. They came quickly to assess my current equipment and give me a quote. They were helpful in answering all my questions as I applied for the HEAT loan through Mass Save. They were able to schedule my install very quickly. The installers were prompt and efficient and friendly. I felt safe and comfortable with them in my home. After the install, they have been helpful with submitting rebates and following up with the best way to maintain my new equipment.

    The crew worked together very well and had the installation done in reasonable time (single outdoor unit and four ductless indoor units), done in two days. Very happy with the system and now the house is COOL! Looking forward to how well it performs in the winter.

    Very happy with their expertise and service installing our heat pump systemMuirfield installed a Mitsubishi central-ducted heat pump in our home, replacing oil heat and cutting our carbon footprint. The Muirfield rep was very helpful, knowledgeable and not at all pushy. We got a competing quote from an installer of Carrier heat pumps and, as a result, went back to Muirfield with questions. Muirfield addressed all of our concerns clearly and courteously. We are convinced we are getting better performance for a comparable installed cost. The installers were good to work with and glad to answer all of our questions. To date the system has been working very well, though we have yet to see the coldest days of the year.

    A great experience from start to finish. Muirfield Mechanical did a great job installing a gas furnace for us during a no heat situation on a Monday in March. Linda in the office was very helpful and Nate came out within 2 hours to give us an estimate. We were not current customers, yet he went out of his way to meet with us quickly. He said we did not have to replace the entire HVAC system and he suggested we replace the gas furnace only since the air conditioning coil and condenser were still working fine. This was welcome news since our current HVAC company told us to replace the entire system.We decided to go with Muirfield on Tuesday and Nate ordered the furnace. His install crew headed by Dan showed up first thing Wednesday morning. They completed the job in the early afternoon and we had heat again! The installers were very courteous and professional and they left the house cleaner than they found it.Linda filed for the warranty for the furnace and thermostat that Friday, and she applied for our furnace rebate from Mass Save on Monday. Not having to worry about any of that paperwork was a bonus. We are going to move our PM contract over to Muirfield going forward and will use them in the future for any of our heating and air conditioning needs. We highly recommend them!

    We had a multi-unit split system installed to supplement a few rooms with marginal heating and cooling. Their design advice was very helpful and professional, and costs were very reasonable. Scheduling of work was accurate, the installation crew came a few days early to confirm the layout details, including some challenging three-dimensional pipe routings. They arrived on the promised date, and were efficient and responsive to our preferences about field conditions and visually important aspects, and were great to work with. As an architect who has worked with many HVAC contractors in the past, I thought Muirfield did an excellent job all around and highly recommend them.

    We had central AC installed last week and Muirfield Mechanical did an excellent job. The install took a few days and I really appreciated the hard work on the team. They were pleasant to work with and they really made sure I understood how the system worked before they left. I will certainly use them for my HVAC needs in the future.

    I use Muirfield Mechanical as my HVAC company for three homes that I have owned and the service is amazing. From a cold day with no heat in one building to a complicated install in my personal home they always follow through start to finish. The office staff is nice and friendly and gets you scheduled quickly, I have used several service men and they were always on time and knew exactly what parts were needed. Getting ready to do another large project at my home partnered with their sales guy Jeff Nowell and we are excited to add air conditioning into our home. Very knowledgeable about the Mass Save program and HEAT Loan opportunities. Makes financing these large projects seem easy. Highly recommend to anyone in MA regardless of home or project size.

    We worked with Muirfield Mechanical to replace our older furnace and air conditioning unit with new high efficiency models. They came to us highly recommended by neighbors so we reached out to them in addition to the HVAC company we had worked with for service previously. In a reasonable amount of time from our initial call, Muirfield sent out an estimator who gave us a rough verbal estimate on the spot and followed up quickly with a proper written estimate. The estimate in comparison to the other company we considered was thousands of dollars less, called for a shorter installation duration (both for comparable products), and could be scheduled sooner. We elected to move forward with Muirfield and had a great experience with the installation. Jermaine and his team were friendly, considerate of our home, and happy to answer any questions that I had along the way. The installation was completed in the time promised, and the equipment has been working flawlessly for the couple of months since. I would not hesitate to recommend Muirfield and in fact have already done so!
