    We did a huge job with this company. They did an amazing. Job. Mike and his team went above and beyond to make sure everything was to our liking. We had some permit issues and they fought hard to get them settled and figured out. The turf around the pool turned out great and the driveway. Mike and his crew made this happen. He worked extremely hard with his guys and knocked job out with a positive attitude and perseverance. I definitely recommend this place and this crew if you want the job done right.

    Grit, Work Ethic, Perseverance, Expertise, Craftsmanship, Detail Oriented, Professionalism, Constant Communication, Integrityare just some of the words I would use to describe our experience with Rockaway. We were looking for solution to a drainage issue. From all the other bids, Rockaway had a solution and the experience we needed. I feel so blessed to have these knowledgeable, respectful, and hardworking gentlemen transform our backyard to a tropical oasis. Mike O, Tony, and Antonio worked with such expertise. When we saw the finished product, it was jaw dropping! I actually felt like we were on a TV show. We are in awe of the service we received. Rockaway has been nothing but amazing. I wish I could give them 10 stars. They stand out for everything they have done.

    Im a homeowner who is doing a large backyard remodel. I needed a company to provide demolition of the existing hardscape and landscape. Rockaway was the only company that really impressed me. They came out with a team of people to look at my project. Together we discussed and planned how the work would be accomplished. They quickly got back to me with a quote that was reasonable. Another big plus is that they were able to work with my tight timeline.Then the real test started after I hired them. Mike and his team came over and started the work. Wow! The skills Mike and his crew have on a bobcat are amazing. They carefully and efficiently removed all the hardscaping and landscaping and cleaned up afterwards too.Communication with Rockaway was also very professional. I had daily written reports and onsite communication with managers Mike and Dan.I highly recommend Rockaway and look forward to working with them again.     I am a new Rockaway client. I recently purchased a home with an irrigation system. I became aware of a break in the line and needed help. I have never had an irrigation system before. Dar was my Rockaway representative who came to my home. You will never meet a nicer or more knowledgeable individual who knows irrigation system. Dar did a very professional job in showing me how the overall irrigation system was set up and worked He answered my many questions and offered suggestions that would optimize the results of the irrigation system pattern/zones installed. He fixed my break in the line problem. His tutorial on the system was excellent. I highly commend Rockaway for having Dar on their team. Dar was a true professional and excellent to work with. I give an A++ rating.

    We have Rockaway for our entire 42-unit condo complex landscaping, lawn spraying and irrigation and they do an outstanding job! Its not just about mowing and blowing!!! Just like any long-term vendor, its not always perfect, but we communicate with them and they always fix any issues. They have been super responsive on short notice when weve had to change their schedule, when we needed irrigation flagged for construction, and whenever weve needed just about anything. Theyve done some special landscaping projects for us - they advised us well on what to install and those areas are now beautiful. They have a superb office manager who listens and adjusts to any changes/requests and they respond quickly to emails. We love Rockaway!!!

    Im a Landscape Architect. I had Rockaway tear out an old, dated, over-grown landscape and replace/update the irrigation system. Brett and his team did a fantastic job pulling out the plants and cleaning up the yard, and Dar was great in designing and installing a new, working irrigation system. They didnt just do the work...they did the work right. Which has made my life easy as I install new sod and plants. Thanks Rockaway!!

    Rockaway did an excellent job landscaping our property in Jacksonville Beach. We had some plants that they were able to work into their design to make our property feel like a true resort property. The lighting is amazing. The design work with Rosalinde was very professional. She arrived with real photos to give us an idea of what to expect when the project was complete. Dan the project manager kept us informed during the project to let us know what to expect while things were happening and what to expect over the next several weeks with watering the new sod, trees and plants. Everyone was, so nice, very helpful and informative. They showed us how to work the lights and irrigation systems. My husband and I couldn’t be happier with the way everything turned out.

    These guys are great. I’m on our community HOA board and my wife heads up our Beautification Committee so we interact with Rockaway in a few different ways. We agree they’re reliable, know plants, do great work with attention to detail and are easy to work with. From flowers to trees Greg has a good eye for what would look good where too, “right plant right place”. They charge us a fair price, in line with other options. No more complaints from residents. We changed vendors every 2 or so years before we found these guys. I grew up around the landscaping business and don’t impress easily. They’re as good as you’ll find. 🌳 -SS

    April 2023 Update: Rockaway just helped us refresh our landscaping after our harsher than usual winter season and we are LOVING the new landscape and design. Zach did a great job getting to know us and picking all the new plants out for us and we are really going to enjoy watching it grow up this spring and summer season. The designers listen to your landscaping wants and needs, and create a beautiful scene. The installation team is precise, fast and clean. I did not get her name! 😫 But I left with the most glorious large blue and white ceramic pot and lots of pretty blooms.     I love shopping at Rockaway because of the expertise they provide. Weve saved so much frustration, money, time and get beautiful results by coming in and speaking with one of their experts who take the time to listen to what we are trying to do, what we like and make recommendations. Today we were ready to buy a bunch of plants --when Jodi gave us the advice to ammend our soil first so our plants would grow. She told us what we needed and how to do it. In all the years weve been buying plants for this particular garden, not one plant shop has ever recommended we do that first. I know this will save us hundreds of dollars (if not more) because our plants will do better and we wont have to keep replacing them as in the past. She also gave us recommendations so we wont end up with a look-a-like garden which I also love (and Rockaway has the plants to support that too). This is especially important to me as despite my telling other plant shops around town this when looking for plants, I usually get the same old recommendations I see all over town. We had similar GREAT advice by another employee at Rockaway in the fall for a container garden we were planting. She totally nailed it too. Well be back to buy the plants after ammending our soil.     This is our go to place in Jacksonville for all things gardening... they have an excellent and divers selection of plants, flowers, potted baskets and planters that are beautiful, colorful and every size from small to very large... In my opinion its this place is delightful to spend your time and money to step up your gardening, whether you are novice or Master Gardener!!They also have all kinds of events and benifits for families as we as for adults...     Rockaway is great and weve loved the new yard and irrigation system. BUT, Rockaway wouldnt be nearly as good without DAVID HOLLOWAY. David was the point person for us and went WAY above and beyond. From designing, advising, and actually stopping back by later to make sure everything was ok. He even took money out of his pocket to get my wife an extra couple of flowering plants that he thought she might like, and sprayed for weeds because he was tired of seeing me not do it! I cant say enough about David, and his kindness and professionalism. Again, Rockaway is great...but if DAVID HOLLOWAY ever leaves...make sure you follow him wherever he goes!

    We make the hike out from the Westside of Jacksonville to shop at Rockaway, especially at Christmas time. Even though the Christmas season is probably when they are working the longest days, the employees are kind and helpful. An example: my toddler lost his shoe and all of the associates went out of their way to scour the garden center to help us find it! We almost always attend the tree lighting ceremony the Friday after Thanksgiving. That’s the night you can most tell what a family tradition Rockaway is.

    We scheduled an inspection with Rockaway of our irrigation. Dar came out and showed us all the issues and made suggestions on how to fix it for best results. He even fixed an immediate issue due to a tree root. We are looking forward to the improvements and ultimately the results.     I was extremely happy with Rockaway. We were selling our home and wanted to see about getting some landscaping to create more privacy and make our house more appealing. I called them for an estimate and David Holloway came right out and provided a full, professional landscaping plan and estimate for a very reasonable rate that could not possibly have covered his time. As we were intent on moving, we only wanted to address one portion of our yard, so asked David if we could just implement part of the plan. He said, Of course! and requited us for just the part we wanted, again at a terrific price. He then scheduled and installed it quickly, with no issues. To top it off, he sent out an irrigation specialist to help with the install. While doing his work, the specialist pointed out several issues with the system (that I knew existed and wanted to take care of).     We love Rockaway. Weve been generally happy with our purchases. Last Christmas Season we bought a Concolor Christmas tree. We were verysatisfied with it and received my a y compliments on its fullness and shape. So this year we bought another but this time were not nearly as pleased with it. From the time we purchased it until we got it placed in our home the tree kept dropping needles. We think this was owed in great part to the young man who sold us the tree wrapping it in some kind of net material that was hard on the trees needles causing a great amount of them to fall off when we cut off the net material. Now we have to sweep and vacuum daily because the tree sheds continuously.Were now considering the purchase of an artificial tree next year.Jerry Flakus
