    The team did a Level 5 finish on all of our walls and ceilings, creating a uniform, smooth surface after they screwed in every drywall panel on the walls and ceilings. They were meticulous. The foreman shone a bright, hand-held light on every surface at the end of the day. When flaws were noted, they were corrected. The paint job was flawless as a result. Installation of flooring, doors and electrical work was very good also. The team worked well together, showed up on time every single morning, and usually worked more than a full day. They were courteous and incredibly hard-working. They even went above and beyond at the end of the job and emptied a POD with all of our furniture, putting it into designated rooms the day they finished the project. It was Christmas Eve and they had families to get home to, but were here until late afternoon.

    Chano and his crew are true professionals. They removed my builder grade bathroom mirror (100 inches wide). Removed all the glue and redid the whole drywall. Best of all also painted the whole wall to have a seamless blend. Then, he put in stronger anchors and hooks for our new mirrors. Excellent work, true professionalism and craftsmanship, and a pleasure to meet and chat with. I called 3 places in the area and they would only do the remove and install. Chano and his crew did it all in one day. Thank you so much!! A+ highly recommended. And I know who to call for flooring and other home improvements/repairs.

    Chano and his team recently installed hardwood flooring on the second floor of our home, while also refinishing the stairs and floors downstairs. Although prices are on the higher side, you are paying for A+ customer service, experience, skill, and ATTENTION TO DETAIL that other hardwood flooring people may not have. For example, Chanos contract was so detailed that it helped us ask other flooring companies what they were specifically doing. The result is that the cheaper flooring companies were not actually cheaper at all, but skipping steps in order to look much cheaper! Furthermore, Chanos team was refreshingly punctual and professional. We thought that the norm for companies would be showing up on time when people say they would, but the opposite has been true. Weve had companies no-show without explanation, arrive hours late, upcharge us after the fact, fail to provide us with contracts, or just straight-up be unreachable for days at a time. You do not have to worry about any of that nonsense when you work with Chano and A Plus Decorating. Lastly, we cant end this review without talking about Chano himself. The owner of the company is someone who is willing to bend over backwards to help you with any part of your experience. We called him numerous times in the process of choosing a hardwood flooring expert, and every time he helped us understand the process by thoroughly explaining, assuaging our doubts, and always promising that there would be no hard feelings if we went a different direction. At the end of day, we highly recommend Chano and his honest, dependable, and hard-working team at A Plus Decorating, and we will look to use him for many of our other home improvement needs in the future.

    Chano & his team at A Plus Decorating are exceptional!  Chano was recommended to us by my husband’s boss when we needed some handyman work completed in our previous home.  He was kind, helpful, honest, and a pleasure to work with back then which is why we reached out to him with some larger-scale jobs in our current home.We had drywall cracks and poor previous drywall repairs on our first floor ceiling that his team fixed to perfection. They were meticulous and took such pride in their work.  They were also so respectful of our home - took the time to clean up afterwards and put our furniture back - you wouldn’t have known we had any work done when they left.They also power-washed, sanded, & sealed our wood deck (which looks great!) & replaced some caulk in our home.  Chano provided a fantastic recommendation on the caulk that flows so much better with our tile than the previous white caulk.We’ve recommended Chano to friends and family who have used him and also been very satisfied.  We plan to use Chano & his team again on future projects and would recommend them without reservation.

    Chano and his team built a custom stair railing for our home. It is beautiful and we couldnt be happier. He gave us lots of good advice and spent a lot of time making sure it was exactly what we wanted before the building began. This is the second project Chano has done for us.     You will not be disappointed. We have used Chano’s team for two major projects:1. Painting the exterior of the houseThey do impeccable work. We had people stop while driving past the house and comment how much they liked the color and transformation of the house.2. Painting the first floor and part of the second floor.The prep work they perform is far beyond spackling some holes or removing switches, outlet plates and light fixtures! Whether prepping for wallpaper or painting walls, stairways, railings, etc, they offer sound advice and back it up with excellent work.     This is long overdue, I have used Chanos company now 5 times in the last 8 years. Four of those times, the work was perfect on the first run, we were floored at the results.There has only been one-time the work came up short and I was only disappointed because his team has spoiled me and I was expecting perfect (even from the new guy). Chano, knew I wasnt 100% satisfied (it was ok), but he stayed a few extra hours to touch up somethings without me asking. In this day and age of contractors ready to run out soon as they believe the job is done, it is nice to work with a company like Chanos.I would recommend this Chano and his crew in a heartbeat. I dont even bother to call around anymore as these are my guys.Work he has done over the last 8 years for us, and hopefully this helps others--Floor installation--Converting our ugly af popcorn ceiling into a nice smooth finish--Fixed our bedroom ceiling which was starting to sag from age--replaced our basement walls after we had a leak, couldnt even tell anything happened--Painted our entire house (by the way, they actually fix the walls first before painting. Lot of companies just wanted to come in prime it and paint it. makes a HUGE difference)--Painted our kitchen cabinets that we hated.     I had Chano and his team come do some drywall repair, painting, and replacing of trim and doors for the downstairs of my townhouse (including a vaulted ceiling in the living room). They were courteous and professional throughout right from the initial estimate through completion of the work.     Chano was super friendly and talked me out of getting unnecessary work done. Very trustworthy and would use him again.Edit: we did end up using him again to frame a drywall a new steel beam we had installed under our second floor. He was once again the cheapest estimate by a few thousand and still ended up doing a great job. The difficult framing was perfect and the drywall smooth and flat. And still he and his brother were always friendly and talk you through everything they’re going to do.

Upon his inspection it was determined that a shower on the second floor dripping water through porous grout that had not been previously repaired or known it was leaking. His team came back to repair the ceiling and also prepare a work plan to replace shower tileVery detailed and conscientious in his methods.Team did an excellent job.

Their quality of work goes far beyond any one we have used. When he repainted our townhouse that we moved into it is like we have brand new walls.     Looking for a good, reliable handyman is hard to find. Luckily a friend sent us a referral, A Plus Decorating. One of the jobs we needed to get done was a pocket door that completely fell off the track. Most, if not all, of the DIY websites say that the door frame will need to be removed. Chano came by to give us a quote, but he didnt stop there. The job was a little tricky, but he was able to get the pocket door back on the tracks without removing the door frame...and with no charge!     This is our second project done by A Plus Decorating and we would recommend this company to anyone with remodeling needs. The work crew is on time and considerate of the needs of the people living in the house. They work steadily, move what needs to be moved, and do a superior job with cleaning up. The owner of the company was on site a majority of the time and participated in the actual work and clean up. The remodeling crew is efficient and does an excellent job in all of the skills involved including extensive electrical work, tear down and rebuilding of the ceiling, building and installing additional stair railings that perfectly match the originals of 40 years ago, and suggesting and installing crown molding to give the room an elegant aura. We couldn’t have asked for a better remodeling experience and will call A Plus Decorating for our next projects. The area of our home on which they worked could be shown in a decorating magazine!

    Chano and his team are awesome. I bought my townhouse and wanted the whole place repainted including walls, ceilings, door frames and base boards. I had a small time frame where my townhouse was all empty before I had to move furniture in. He accommodated my project timeline and was able to get it done even with all his other client projects. Additionally, the team cares to get the job done right. After sanding the ceilings he noticed drywall that needed to be repaired from an old water leak. Texted and informed me right away and we worked together to determine best course of action. He not only replaced the drywall but fixed the toilet ring upstairs causing the leak. He is professional, timely, and communicates through the whole process. I loved that he texted me pictures along the way to see the projects progress.     They did an excellent job in sanding, staining, finishing our 3/4 oak strip floors. All cabinets, appliances, and doorways were masked off even though the sanding was dustless.     So happy I found this company!On a fluke, I typed in on Thumbtack that I needed a engineered hardwood floor installed in my living room/dining-room and the same rooms needed paint. I received a reply from Chano ( A Plus Decorating ) within minutes. The next day Chano came out and gave me an estimate, it was reasonable/ not low but competitive, and I hired him. The paint job turned out to be the best ever, not only did they paint but filled in any and all imperfections and nail holes on the walls! Turned out great! I also love my new engineered hardwood floor, it turned out fabulous! Chano and his crew were always on time, clean and professional. On the days Chano ( the owner ) could not be here, he would show up at the end of the day to inspect the work that was done, he really cares and takes great pride in EVERYTHING he and his employees do.     A Contractor you can trust!Chano and his team installed new laminate floors throughout our home, painted all our trim and installed new doors. He even fixed an odd door frame in our master bath, which icluded building out the wall a bit and installing new frame. It was all quite a process and took us out of the home for a good two weeks or so, but in all fairness, it was a big job. The workmanship and attention to detail was top notch, and if there was ever anything I didnt quite like or wanted fixed, there were no questions or pushback. Chano and his team really want their customers to be satisfied with the end results, and we are very much!! We even ended up having to rebuild the stairs because carpeting had really damaged the wood, and although it cost us a bit more, the results were great! He really worked with us on many levels, including price and he always offered fair opinions on construction and where to spend money or where we could save. A lot of contractors run pretty shady and you never know who you can trust, so Im very happy we found A Plus Decorating, because we never had to worry. I highly recommend Chano and his team and will definitely use them in the future!

He did an incredible job of pulling out an old soffit light fixture, repairing the drywall, adding a new electrical connection and installing the new light fixture. He painted the formerly unpainted portion to match the walls. It is impossible to tell where the old paint ended and the new paint was applied. Great job on this little update!

    Hired for two separate jobs. The first was to sand and stain the swing set; the job was done very well, in time, with no surprise charges.     A Plus Decorating just (Jan 2019) refinished the hardwood floors in our Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen. Plain and simple, they did everything they said would, on time, on budget. No bait and switch. Floor refinishing is dusty and messy by nature.
