I met Aaron Bethke this summer at my parents cabin. My dad was telling me about him; what he does, and how great he is to work with. All this to say, Aaron helped me with my roof as well at home. He came out evaluated the roof, helped with my claim, recommended beautiful shingles and got the job done quickly. The team was there on time and stayed until the work was done.They did a great job cleaning up when they were done (I have only found 3 nails). Worked with Brian from NexGen initially on hail damage on my roof. Had problems with my insurance company, but Brian helped and was patient through that process.Getting the roof work went so well I decided to let NexGen do my siding and trim project. They worked with remote to pick out my color and was very helpful with providing models. They installed siding, gutterin, and exterior components like electrical outlet and lights with great quality.The crews that performed the work were nice and courteous. They cleaned the property of materials and nails. The gutter has a nice extension feature.I was impressed with the office support Resources. They answered my questions and gave the information needed or pointed me in the right direction. They also followed up on returning my phone calls.

Will do a final review once the job has been completed, with before and after pictures, but so far, so good.Travis has been exceptional to work with, and break down and put into english what the insurance company is talking about. He has been to my place twice so far and was here today with the insurance adjuster. Our area was bombarded with hail last summer, and I finally made a claim on my roof, and gutters for damage. He came here and met with the adjuster, and really helped me out by dealing with him most of the time. So far I am incredibly impressed.Update...roof has been replaced, and gutters installed, job complete.The crew of 12 or so workers, really worked hard on repairing my roof, and shingles. They arrived at 8ish AM monday. I left my house before they got here, due to I didnt want my dog to go nuts while they were working on my roof.I dropped in around noon to see the progress, and the crew was really working hard. I would say they were nearly half done or so. Returned home at 5:30, and shingles were done. Looked super. Being construction, mishaps happen. I noticed one of my window screens has a 2 inch rip in it, and a wind chime was broken. No biggie.The following morning (today) they put up my new gutters. They improved the system I had up that was damaged. Super happy with that.Pros: efficient, professional look. Hard working crew.Cons: Management disregarded something I wanted which I told them 3 times, which they agreed to do. It was a minimal request, which was a small impact on myself, but will find out why it was overlooked. Torn screen.End result....Very happy with overall experience working with these guys.Would for sure recommend.

I hadn’t owned this property for long and it became apparent that gutters in Minnesota are essential. It wasn’t a big job and despite getting bids by multiple contractors the timeline to make it happen kept getting pushed back.Marquis, a sales representative for NexGen, over heard me at a bar and told me his team could get it done. We scheduled an on site visit where he could take some measurements and give me a quote. His quote was music to my ears as it was about 10% lower than two previous contractors. This might have been a part of the veteran discount Marquis was offering, but it was appreciated!!!It did take several weeks to get me into the queue because of the demand for good work and difficulty to staff good crews.The crew that came out to do the work were very cordial and professional. They had to negotiate trash pickup, recycling pick up, and snow but still did the job with impressive speed. Thanks to those guys powering through multiple inconveniences to finish the job.I did get the opportunity to speak with the NexGen owner about the operation he was running and discovered a passionate individual devoted not only to his craft, but his staff. Ryan even sends out Christmas cards to his clients that include a company photo. He’s running the kind of locally owned company I like to promote.If you want a good deal, are a veteran or just plain need quality work by a locally owned company Ryan’s NexGen is the appropriate choice. The guys at NexGen are great. Jon Joyner came out and inspected our roof and found we had hail damage from a recent storm. We got on the phone with my insurance company and they sent an inspector who agreed with Jons assessment. Now the roof has been replaced and it went smooth and looks great. Jon was a great with communications through the entire process and Im glad I chose them to work with. I would highly recommend them!

I have been working with Cody and David at Nex Gen Exteriors since I was given a referral by my neighbor. Let me tell you they did not disappoint. I was going back and forth with my insurance company for at least 8 months and through it all I was able to reach out to Cody and David if I had questions on the process and on what to expect next. They were more than contractors… I trusted them!!! They continued to assure me that this process is normal and everything will be okay. And it was. I just want to sincerely say that not only is their work impeccable their service is top notch and they deserve every referral and 5 star rating they get. Update: As promised I am editing this to include a deck rebuild job done by NexGen Exteriors that was done on April 30 and finished on May 1, 2024. NexGen is the general contractor, and a sub contractor came out and did the job. Total cost of job was $34,840, ouchy. But, the job was done quickly and professionally the only issue was a cost overrun of $700 for material and labor I think this company could have absorbed in my opinion. But, I digress here. See pics and judge for yourself if NexGen should build your deck?!?This is my first time with this company. Was looking to replace some old gutters on both my home and garage. Did a Google search for a reputable company that could handle the project apparently there are many in Minnesota. I checked the reviews and BBB (Better Business Bureau) site for any complaints against a business before committing to a contract something that I do now after a deck company tried to scam this disabled veteran earlier this year learned a hard lesson unfortunately. Talk to Travis who is nice and professional and gave me a decent quote for the job around $5500. My gutters were in bad shape apparently since I and wife moved in around October of 2019 and the home inspection report didnt say how bad the gutters were hence wasted $400 before closing on the house. Anywho, paid half down plus this company gives a military discount and paid the rest upon completion. Apparently, my home didnt have gutter aprons which explained the water falls I had when it rained. Then not to mention that my gutters were not tilted properly for the downspout to drain the water flow. The crew showed up on 11/16/2023 at 7:30am and finished in 3 hours, and it was a warm day btw. They did an excellent job of removing old gutters and installing new ones. Would recommend to any disabled veteran looking for a reputable company to work on their house. Will have future projects next year for them.

We hired Nexgen after a storm damaged our roof and siding on our 1950s home in Robbinsdale. Nexgen was working with the city as an approved contractor, and their rep, Nick Schroeder, stopped by to assess the damage. I was immediately impressed with Nick. He was so knowledgeable and forthright that I hired Nexgen on the spot. And I must say it was a great decision. Turns out our entire roof and siding needed to be replaced, and Nexgen worked with our insurance insurance company to make sure everything was covered. Our inside contact was Amanda Oldre, Director, who coordinated the entire project from beginning to end. There were many obstacles that came our way during construction which were out of anyones control, but Amanda seamlessly handled every issue with her experience, knowledge, professionalism and happy to help, can-do attitude, which always put me at ease. It was a great relief to know she was available every time I called with my many questions throughout the job. Amanda almost always had the answers but if she didnt, no worries, she got right back to me. The team that did the work were also professional, did a great job in a timely manner and left everything neat and orderly at the end of the day. All in all, they did an amazing job and it was a pleasure to work with them. I highly recommend Nexgen Exteriors for any of your contracting needs. You wont be disappointed.

I had a roof replacement and full siding done on my house. I met with several contractors and ended up choosing Nexgen. I worked with Cody and the whole process was very smooth. All the teams were more than happy to address any concerns or questions we had. They went consistently above and beyond what I expected. My neighbor even commented to me that when he saw the install team on my siding wiping down every piece they were putting up. They did an excellent job cleaning up any and all construction debris also. I have kids and dogs running around so ot was a concern. We met Travis at the Minneapolis Home Show and had inquired about siding. Travis came out to see the house and also went to take a look on the roof. Upon his inspection he did see we had significant hail damage from a past storm. We put the siding project on hold and his team worked with his on replacing the roof. When the day came the NexGen team did such a great job. They were fast but yet detailed. When they were done it didnt even look like they were there. Cleaned up everything very well. I have only found ONE roofing nail since they have been here. I highly recommend Travis and the NexGen team for your home project. We are not done using them.

The winter it rained 4 inches in an hour, not once but twice! I thought I was going to have my basement walls dug out and redone with a sump pump for $5000-10,000 due to major flooding. But Brandon Anderson came to our rescue and told us we should do gutters. He was so patient with us while I tried to pick the exact color to match our trim. Almost our entire roof required gutters because of the horizontal design. But it was no problem for Brandon and his team. They were so fast, it was done in less than a day and they are just beautiful! And since then, we have not had a drop of water in the basement when it rains. Mistakes were made, but a definitive 5 stars!Lets be clear. No business on the planet is immune to mistakes. Its how they resolve the mistakes, that makes NexGen a great business to work with.NexGen had a few mis-steps, when they replaced my roof. Some where minor, like a downspout that got damaged, that wasnt part of the job and some flashing that came loose. They replaced it. They didnt try to hide it, make excuses, bend it back into shape or replace only the damage section. They replaced all of it, to make sure it matched and looked good.One of the workers broke the stand of my in-ground gas grill. It was old and decrepit (I had plans to get rid of it), but it still had an active gas line, in it. NexGen hired someone out to cap off the gas line and remove the old grill, per my wishes. They didnt charge me for any problems, they didnt complain, they owned up to the mistakes and went above and beyond to ensure I was happy.This is the type of business you want to work with. Not only are they a competent roofing company; they stand behind their work and the experience youll have as a customer. My new roof, flashings and gutters look amazing. The site cleanup was meticulous—especially on the driveway. They even made sure my neighbors driveway was clear of debris.NexGen is more than just a great roofing/exteriors company. Theyre a group of caring individuals. Hopefully you wont have any problems on your project. But, with NexGen, you should have the peace of mind knowing theyll do whatever they can, to take care of you.

NexGen Exteriors put on a new roof, repaired a bay window, fixed my gutter and wrapped the trim on my garage door. Their work and craftsmanship is impeccable. The roofing crew was a pleasure to have working in my yard all day. They were polite, neat and considerate of my property. The clean up was spot on. My yard was thoroughly cleaned right after the installation, and, the crew leader came out the next morning to go through my yard again. The bay window and garage door wrap was done efficiently and beautifully. Bob Glick was the project manager. He is a dedicated professional. If I had to contact him with a concern, he responded, literally, within minutes. I felt as if I were his only customer, because of his prompt attention, and, taking care of any matter of my concern immediately. Bob Glick and NexGen deserve a 5 star Plus rating. They even fixed a few things that were not on the work order. I can’t say enough good things about them. I do highly recommend them. Don’t trust your new roof or repairs to anybody but NexGen. I assure you, that, you can’t go wrong in hiring them for your work. Don’t risk disappointment and frustration by hiring any other company beside NexGen. I would highly recommend NexGen Exteriors to anyone needing a new roof, siding or windows. 2 years ago the 14 year old roof, on our 94 year old house, was leaking as a result of shoddy workmanship from a previous contractor. We tried getting quotes and warranties from several contractors. They either claimed to not know how to fix our roof or refused to give a warranty. NexGen Exteriors was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and courteous. They were able to tell us how they would fix the leaks and get the roof done at reasonable price. They also got the roof on quickly, despite scheduling problems because of bad weather. NexGen Exterior roofers were able to find exactly where the roof was leaking and also made us aware of a few problem areas that they could remedy. That winter after the new roof was installed, we had heavy snow and the following summer was the wettest on record. So happy to say the new roof not only looks great, their craftsmanship is impeccable. The leaky problems have been fixed! I had a piece of siding fall off the side of my house in the peak of the 2nd story. They came out and fixed it for far less than I would have expected to pay. They certainly didnt have to do such a small job but they made sure to take time out of their schedule to help me out. Would definitely recommend if anyone is looking to reside their house or in need of repair.

I have to tell you, these people were great. I will be adding a final review once my gutters are installed. In the meantime:I first met them when scouring contractors Spring 2022 at the MN Home and Remodeling Show. Andrew Nelson and Amanda Oldre were enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the industry and their company. Having worked in the construction materials industry myself for the past 20 years, speaking with builders, contractors, architects, contractors etc. covering many practices and materials nationwide all year long, Im sure they felt interrogated by my concern for quality and detail as I was scouting for a crew I trusted to replace my roof nearly 130 miles away in an area nearly devoid of construction specialists.Distance was not an issue, as this company is large and they have crews to cover anything you need for the home exterior. My replacement roof and gutters would be taken care of! As Spring rolled around, so did an extensive series of storms and suddenly my roof condition became more urgent than Id expected.Andy Nelson was returning my calls within an hour, drove the distance within days to survey the home, walk the roof, and give me a plan of action. He worked with my insurance company, discussed my desired materials, turned the process over to Amanda Oldre and they got to work ordering everything needed before supplies could run out. (More to come after my gutter team arrives to close my order.)The project was handed off to Travis Gester who arrived from the Twin Cities on the day the roof work began, bringing additional materials, overseeing the crew, explaining the process to me, and listening to additional concerns I had about a new issue that began during the recent storms: a leak had begun at an area where a long deck/shed roof connects to the main wall under a wide bank of windows, and I was hoping they would be willing to add some addl flashing along that ridge before they started nailing the new shingles on. Travis listened carefully, looked at the area of concern, made quick phone calls to the headquarters crew, and everything was approved within one phone call. Travis then spoke with the roofing lead, Billy Cerrito, showed him the area and needed flashing, and I never had to worry about the process from then on. The crew was polite, HARD-working, efficient, and professional!! 2 days later, the entire roofing job was done, including attached garage, materials were cleaned-up, and the crew was heading for a new job many miles away for the next day!Yesterday, Travis returned to walk to roof, survey the work to make sure HE was satisfied with the final results, and talk with us about our thoughts on how satisfied WE are. He then spent addition time HIMSELF to make double-sure all nails and debris were cleared of the area, rolling their magnet around for a final run, and promised to follow-up with the timing of the gutter install crew.I cant say enough about this team. Excellent company, and I will hire them again when needed, for siding and/or windows.

Derrick was here on the roof with the inspector every time. Upon the second inspection, our claim was approved. Last year in July we had a hail storm and like most neighborhoods were inundated with contractors going door to door. I was determined to not fall prey to some fly by night contractor from out of state or who knows where. Cody approached me as I was cleaning up my yard and I was wary to say the least. his professionalism and willingness to provide his credentials and that of the company and to answer all my questions led us to decide to go with NexGen. We then found out that there were issues with the insurance company and getting the job done. It took mu;ltipl visits and inspections with the adjuster and Nex Gen was there. The insurance only wanted to do a partial repair and NexGen went to bat for us because our original shingles were no longer available so the whole roof had to be replaced. After that the insurance and mortgage company screwed everything up when issuing payment and by that time it was middle of winter. At the first sign of decent weather, NexGen sent a crew and scheduled the new roofing and gutters and trim. It was professional, efficient and done quickly and our home looks beautiful. I highly recommend NexGen and Cody for any repairs and/or improvements to your home.

Cody Utsch and Donovan Luby arrived promptly, examined the house very thoroughly for hail and wind damage, were very helpful in the entire process (and very nice, friendly, and professional to boot). They let me know what would happen every step of the way, as well as what I would personally need to take care of. They arrived early, stayed late, and had the roof replaced in a day. Another person came out later to do the gutters. Cody worked with the installer to have a special gutter put in to alleviate wheelchair ice-mare. That was a big relief for us. We had just moved to Minnesota and after about a year at our house we had a large hail storm. We had a lot of damage to the roof of our house the siding and two large shops on our property. Our home is 32 years old and we had the original cedar shake shingles. We started to get a small leak in a wall and ceiling after an ice dam 3 years ago. After several repairs with a spray on sealer, it kept leaking after very heavy rains. After the last one a few months ago it was time to get estimates for a reroof. After getting 6 quotes we decided to go with Nexgen. They weren’t the cheapest but they weren’t the most expensive either. Sam Downs was the estimator and after we decided to go with them, he was also our point of contact. We went with their GAF Timberline architectural shingles which was estimated 3-4 weeks for the start of the job, weather permitting, and they were done in under 3. Sam was professional, informative and available anytime I had a question. He always responded promptly and thoroughly. The crew that did our reroof was terrific! Worked hard and long hours each day . They protected all our plants and decking during the tear off and cleaned up wonderfully. Sam took drone pics and sent them tome so we could see progress daily and just today he sent a final copy with a video also! Very cool. I cannot say enough about how good Nexgen and Sam were during the whole process. Highly recommend them if you are in need of a roof. Thanks Nexgen !

I called my sales rep, Ann Ruud, on the recommendation of a DIFFERENT sales rep I had liked from a DIFFERENT company. Hed done an inspection in the fall and it was to late to move forward with repair as Minnesota winter was upon us. I kept his card and called him in the spring only to be told he wasnt with that company anymore. I asked if he had another person to recommend and said I wasnt committed to going with the same company, I just liked him as a rep. He ave me Anns number and said that she was the person to talk to. Ann was really quick to respond, came out right away, explained everything clearly and brought a huge binder full of certificates and awards proving NexGen is a reputable company. I liked the warranty options, the quality of the materials, the fact that the company is established and takes customer service seriously. When I asked Ann if it was possible to get addresses of homes with the colors of shingles I liked because I wanted to see examples in person as opposed to just a catalog, she got in touch with the manufacturer and had addresses for me the next day so I could take myself on a solo roof tour. It helped me feel more confident in my color choice to have seen the shingles on a real house as opposed to just a little picture on paper. Everything happened exactly as Ann promised it would and she checked in frequently, making sure that we knew what to expect always. Shes been completely available, concerned that were satisfied, and we felt 1000% taken care of. Shell absolutely be my first cal if we decide to replace our 100+ year old windows. :)EDIT: I cant believe I forgot to say how IMPRESSIVE it was that the roofers got our bungalow and garage done in a SINGLE DAY! Naighbors commented on how lightening fast the process was and I was happy that everything was done so fast without sacrificing quality. With so many people working from home during the pandemic, it was really nice to only have the noise for a day.

Allstate, my insurance carrier, inspected the roof, but determined there was not enough damage to warrant a claim or reimbursement for damages. My neighbor had a positive experience from NexGen and their representative in getting approval for a roof replacement. I contacted the company and have since received assistance from Mike Thompson at NexGen. I subsequently requested a re-examination of my roof from Allstate. Mike accompanied the evaluator from Allstate to provide a second set of eyes for the evaluation. As a result of his assistance in pointing out the deficits in my roof, Allstate reversed their decision, and approved payment for a roof replacement. That would not have happened without Mikes input. My roof is scheduled to be replaced later next week by NexGen. Hats off to Mike for his assistance!

Josh Smith came out and inspected myhome for free after the hail storm, after getting off the roof Josh came down and showed you the photos of the damage. From there we went over the company and I decided that nexgen would be a great fit for me, then Josh helped set up the claim and dealt directly with the insurance company through the whole process, how I met the adjuster and went over the damage with them, and found enough damage to warrant full roof replacement. Once we got the claim papers we met and I picked out your new roof color, from there the crew was out in a timely fashion and completed the roof in 2 and now I have a brand new roof with a 50 year warranty. I would use Nexgen again and have referred them to friends and neighbors.

Cody, was driving by on his way home from work, he noticed that I was cleaning my gutters. Every spring after the trees buds drop they fill my front gutter and they need to be cleaned out. He told me who he was and about what NexGen Exteriors does. He told me that he could do a free inspection and tell about covers that prevent me from having to do the annual cleanout. I thought about it because with the many surgeries Ive had I shouldnt be up cleaning gutters anyway. We came to an agreement for the gutter covers. Donovan was so great at helping us through the entire process. He and nexgen made it easy to make choices, and they got the work done in a very timley manner. We love our new roof, it looks beautiful and is a great product. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!!! Five stars!!

NexGen was fantastic to work with. I met part of their crew at the Mpls Home and Remodeler Show, and hired them to replace our roof and gutters in north central MN.Travis Gester took over the mgmt of our job, got all order details and product shipments AND kept in touch with us on every step of each teams schedule. He drove up himself several times, inspected work, picked up leftover materials, etc.The crews worked until dusk, kept working through rain and snow. We were amazed.The entire crew was great, including office, mgmt, roofers and gutter crew, but it is WONDERFUL to be able to connect quickly, whenever needed, with the person overseeing your project and having EXCELLENT follow through. Travis, you guys are the best!

NexGen Exteriors just completed a roof replacement on our 130,000 square foot manufacturing plant in Northeast Minneapolis. This project included removing half a million pounds of rock and replacing the ballasted roof with mechanically fastened TPO roofing. NexGen also added 46 operable skylights and electrically wired them for remote operation.NexGen’s Sales Project Manager, Ann Ruud, and Vice President, Shawn Caron, were extremely responsive, knowledgeable and professional. The work was performed expertly and expediently from beginning to end.Given the vast scope of this job and the manner in which it was executed, I would highly recommend NexGen Exteriors for ANY size project be it commercial or residential.
