    It is rare that I write a review to recommend a product or company. In this case I feel compelled to do so.My wife and I decided to add a solar power system to our farm. We decided on a ground mounted, battery back up, grid tied system. We wanted a system that would provide energy to our farm when there were power outages.We did our homework, and got several bids for our solar project.One bid stood out. Mike Reysack from The Solar Guys brought his A game. He was on time, knew his products, and was knowledgeable about all of the various federal incentive programs for alternative energy. His bid was very competitive, and he also helped us to apply for a REAP (Rural Energy Assistance Program). Mike worked very hard to help us through the process, which included extra work for himself. In the end it saved us a lot of money!The installation crew was punctual and polite. Dan, Addison and Soren were conscientious and respectful of our property, and cleaned up their mess every day before leaving. While Addison and Soren worked on the panel array, Dan and Jeremy worked inside to install our battery backup system. They went the extra mile to make me happy when I asked them to put the batteries in an inconvenient place that created more work for them. I knew I didnt need to worry about them when they passed the dog test.Dogs are great judges of character. They wanted to hang out with the guys. ;)The finished product exceeds my expectations. We are especially pleased with the monitoring app that allows us to monitor the system in real time. And the extra money we saved when the REAP grant was approved will make the return on investment come years earlier. We even got a personal call from Jesse, the owner of The Solar Guys, to make sure we were happy with the process and product.I highly recommend The Solar Guys!I gladly give them five stars.     I had a great experience with the Solar Guys. Soren was very friendly and helpful when it came to any questions that I had, and with keeping me updated with the status of the project. He sent a message to let me know when he would be arriving, which I appreciated. He was also right on schedule, not a minute late, very professional. A lady named Heather reached out to me more than once to let me know what needed to be done next in regards to the project, and helped to schedule times that worked for me, which was really great. I was thrilled that I didnt have to miss work for this project to be completed on my property, I just left acess to inside my house, and they went in and got the job done!

    If you’re thinking about putting in a solar system, you should go with The Solar Guys. They have a very fair price. They use Emphase for their solar panels which are very high-quality. They’re very knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. My electric bill is pretty much nothing right now. I’m actually making more energy than I am using so goes into a bank and then during the winter when it’s cloudy, that money is used to help pay for my electric bill. I want to put a shout out to Mike who is an owner and operator of The Solar Guys and also to Soren and Daniel who are installers The whole team worked well together . Thanks Solar Guys for a job well done.

    The Solar Guys did a great job installing our solar panels. Mike came out to our house and explained everything about the energy savings, how many panels we would need, how the system works. Very professional and knowledgeable about the complete process. The timeline and installation went smoothly and was done without any glitches. I use the app to see our wattage performance and make sure all of our panels are working. Thank you to Mike and the Solar Guys. We love our solar. Greta and Buddy Pretzer

    Completed solar installation with the Solar guys and was up in Running by November of 2023. Mike Reysack provided a high information / no pressure presentation which made us leap for the investment. Sunny days now make my day even brighter when I realize we virtually wont have to pay for electric! I highly encourage solar but if you go solar, use The Solar Guys of Iowa!

    I highly recommend The Solar Guys of Iowa. The technicians that worked on my system, Daniel and Soren, were pleasant and professional.These guys came in to fix and complete an installation partially done by another company that shuttered before completing my install. They went through the entire panel install to make sure connections and wire management were correct. They found issues with the original panel install, such as improper wiring, improper grounding, loose wires hanging underneath, and even some panels that were not secured well enough. All the issues were fixed!They went above and beyond to find service equipment necessary for my install that was in high demand and difficult to get quickly. They took care of all communications with our provider and the city.Our electrical system is more complicated than most, with parallel feeds from the meter for different functions in the house, not just a single service breaker box. They figured it out and were able to appropriately wire the new connections for the solar inclusion.During it all, they kept me informed of all the steps taken.Im running live now and happy with it.Update: added bill photos. Delivered 3x to the grid what I used from the grid! Have a nice credit already banked in the first month! Last years usage for the same time also include.

    Daniel Holzhauser was very helpful, pleasant and kept us informed every step of the way!! After a company went out of business late 2021 and left us with only panels, the SolarGuys came on board, spring of 2024 and completed the installation. Everyone we came in contact was very pleasant and knowledgeable. System working!! Thank you, SolarGuys. We highly recommend this company!!

    We are very pleased with our solar panels and the amount of money that they will save us in the future. The Solar Guys were easy to work with and worked through a lot of issues that we had with our electrical company in the transition to solar. We would recommend working with them too if solar is in your future!

    I honestly had a great experience start to finish. Rich was my initial contact, sorting out what I generally was looking for.Mike came out and did my estimate, and answered all my questions (including answers where could have sold me things I didnt need, but was honest instead). Soren and Daniel did my install, they were great with both me and my dog. Michelle in billing and Jen as the project manager were very quick in answering questions as they sprung up.The whole process was smooth, and everyone there was helpful and kind. Nothing but the best.Edit: Forgot to mention, help didnt end once the install was over. A few months later they contacted me and asked if I noticed a full row of panels was out (I had not.) They quickly sent someone to check it out and it was fixed within days of them noticing (squirrel ate some wiring). Top shelf support.
