They are also very good with before project estimates and with followup communication.     Very professional. They were very involved from concept to design to installation on my older home bathroom and master closet updates. Their desire to keep the finished as close to original finishes was really appreciated. They did a great job of keeping me in the loop on the job progress and held pretty close to the original schedule. i would definitely recommend them for your remodel project.

    We had a partial bedroom remodel with new built-in closets added and a remodel of the existing closet interior. The regular door of the closet was replaced with a pocket door, a better design and shelving/hanging system replaced the old wire racks in the closet, roll-out shoe drawers were built beneath the window, and hanging wardrobes with drawers were built on either side of the window. Dave, Andrew, Paul, Darien, and Jennie were great to work with. We love the remodel!

    We chose Cyclone Contracting for our remodel project because we knew they would be able to meet our expectations, stick to the laid out timeline for the project, and there would be no surprises from them along the way.     Great experience with all of the Cyclone Contracting team on jobs well done on our basement bookcase and hobby brew kitchenette projects.At the start, we talked with Jennie about the project needs and concepts. Plans were drawn up with a couple different options, and with a few minor tweaks, all were ready for the go-ahead.One of the best parts was the detailed schedule showing the sequence of events with durations. So at all times we did not have wonder on what tasks were to be done by whom, and what was planned next.Another pleasant part was the interaction with all the trades and especially the Project Manager, Nathan, who ensured everything was done on-time and went out of his way to make sure any issues and concerns were taken care of.Lastly, another great experience was discussing the daily activities with everyone prior to commencing the days work. The work scope and details were clearly discussed to ensure work would be completed correctly the first time (without re-work).Thanks so much to all for a very successful project, including Jennie, Nathan, Dave, Paul, Andrew, and Rodney.     Cyclone Contracting completed 3 total bath remodels for me. My experience with Cyclone Contracting has been everything I could wish for. I cant thank my design team of Jennie and Nickie enough. They have been so good to work with. They allowed me to be creative while providing expert advice/guidance along the way. Nathan the general contractor was phenomenal, everything was well organized. I was provided a Project Book with a detailed schedule. I always knew when sub-contractors were arriving. Nathan did a great job overseeing the work and keeping things on track. The subcontractors were top notch, Ames Tile, Thompson Electric and Ames Plumbing Supply. When the inevitable unexpected issue arrived, Nathan and his team put their heads together and quickly solved the problem. I highly recommend Cyclone Contracting and will be using them again in the near future on a second project.

    Had Cyclone-Rathert put in a radon system. The work was well done, on time, and no surprises. Jeremy and Rod were great to work with. The radon level was reduced to a very low level. They used high quality materials too. I also liked that they hired a electrical company to do the wiring and they made sure the system was located to be pretty much out of sight. They came back to test the radon level too/provided a report.

    We loved our experience with Cyclone. They completed a kitchen/dining/living remodel for us, including tearing down an old exterior wall and placing a beam to create the open concept we wanted. Jenny, their designer, was amazing and helpful. I had a rough idea in mind and she helped with all the details to make that idea come to life. The Cy guys were professional, hard working and respectful of our family space. Nathan, the project lead, was available and willing to communicate about the smallest details. We have already started another project with them!

We had never before used a Contracting company for any of our home remodeling, and are so happy we chose Cyclone Contracting to be our first.     Cyclone Contracting completed the remodeling of our entire house - kitchen, 2 bathrooms, egress windows, floors, doors, and stairs. The praise we have for this company and its people cannot fit in a short review, but let’s list just several things other than the overall excellent work. The designs that Jennie did were exceptional. She anticipated our needs, gave us detailed estimates, and was very pleasant to deal with. We got an exact schedule on a spreadsheet, and Nathan made sure that everything was done exactly as promised. He even made the custom closets under the basement steps that are impressive and so practical. Lori contacted us numerous times to make sure that things ran smoothly. Other employees, too numerous to list, were kind, considerate, and friendly without exception. We even have a high praise for the other companies contracted by Cyclone.If you plan any work on your home, we recommend Cyclone Contractors without reservation!

    We recently completed an attic renovation with Cyclone Contracting. From the designers, Larry, Jennie, and Niki, to the dome and framing guys, Rod, Chad and Dave, to the finish crew, Paul and Andrew, everyone was very experienced and respectful of us and our house. They were careful to keep the rest of the house clean while they worked on the attic. Nathan is Mr. Personality and the guy who manages the schedule. He is always upbeat and positive. Nathan and Lori are excellent at keeping the communication going. We are very happy with the result and have a bunch of new friends!

    These guys are great, seriously. We had our crawl space encapsulated and insulated, and a radon mitigation system put in. Our floors above the crawl spaces are much warmer, they were able to repair some potential cracks/crevices that pests could get in, and our radon levels decreased dramatically. They were able to phase the product so I wasn’t just writing 1 giant check at the end. They were kind, quick, knowledgeable, maintained good communication throughout the whole process, and we’re always on time. Plus, their total cost of both encapsulation AND radon mitigation was the same price as JUST encapsulation from another company, so we got a better deal than we would have elsewhere. I highly recommend Cyclone Contracting!

    Recently, Rodney, Andrew, and Dave from Cyclone Contracting installed a stovetop hood and ducted it out to the rooftop. We were extremely pleased with their workmanship! The hood and a custom built hickory wood duct encasing turned out beyond our expectations! The new hood is working great and has made our kitchen look complete!     Weve used Cyclone Contracting recently for two major upgrades to our home. New wood flooring for entire first floor and new countertops/ kitchen sink and fixtures. It was an excellent experience both times we asked them to help us improve our home. I really appreciated how well we were kept informed of the timeline and the special attention to the finishing details. Both projects could have easily been a major disruption to our daily lives, but Cyclone made things easy and took care of everything. If youre looking for high quality work, honesty in pricing, professionalism throughout the design and sales process and crew dependability...I highly recommend Cyclone.     Ive been a customer with Cyclone Contracting for many years. They have always been friendly, responsive, professional, respectful of me, my property and home. When my old heating system started to fail in the middle of winter, they were there to ensure they got it working again and that we were not without heat. I purchased my new furnace and installed central air through Cyclone Contracting. They are a great company to work with and I am very happy with what the work and equipment theyve installed in my home. When my old water heater died, I had Cyclone Contracting install a new one. I highly recommend their services. Now, I am looking into remodeling and will be calling them for estimates and considering them for my projects.

    Cyclone Contracting installed new windows into our family room. These were new installations involving carpentry, window installation, vinyl siding. What we appreciated most was there willingness to listen to our desires and work with us to achieve our vision.     Cyclone Contracting is top notch! We hired them to do a large addition/remodel to our house. We couldnt be happier with the service we received. There are several reasons why I would use them again.1. Trustworthy - This should be a given in any business but I know its not. During the 3 months our addition was being built, there were many people in and out of our house when we werent home. Never once did we have anything out of place. We felt totally comfortable having them in our home.2. Responsiveness- This is huge in the construction/remodeling industry. We interviewed many contractors prior to starting our project and it was very frustrating finding people to get back to you or answer your questions.Cyclone Contracting always got back to us.     Cyclone Contracting is a really great group. They did a major renovation of our house including kitchen, living room, and part of our basement. The project included cabinets, plumbing, and really excellent carpentry (moved a stairway). They were pleasant and good communicators. They were on time and on budget. Once the project was scheduled, it went like clockwork and they were always here when they said they would be.     We had our furnace and AC unit replaced by Cyclone Contracting. Every aspect from the estimate through the installation went better than expected. Elise was extremely knowledgeable and of the 3 contractors we had bidding on the project, she seemed to understand our needs the best and ended up recommending the right balance of cost, ROI, energy savings, and rebates to us. Brent and Ryan were friendly and willing to explain to this inquiring engineer what and why they did things the way they did. Everyone arrived when they said they would. They completed their tasks in a timely manner, and even said they would contact us when the weather / temperature was more conducive to finishing the charging / calibration of our AC unit (They performed this installation on one of the coldest days of this winter.) Everyone was extremely professional and courteous.

    I have done business with individual contractors in the past, but I like the larger structure that Cyclone offers with accurate estimates, predictable scheduling, workers arriving on time, and latitude of services. I also am highly impressed with the character of the owner and the workers. Especially the owners quiet ability to listen to ideas and make suggestions. However, there is the issue of his dry humor, which is rather fun and shows that he gets the nuances of a situation.

    Larry, Jeremy, and the team at Cyclone do an awesome job. They helped us with our basement finish several years ago doing HVAC, lining up contractors for insulation and drywall, and recently completed a radon mitigation system install for our home. From the very beginning the were kind, professional, worked with our budget and we now have the kitchen of our dreams and love everything about it. Their advice and suggestions turned out to be very good and the bathroom projects turned out better than we had hoped.     If I could give Andy and Bruce from Cyclone more than five stars, I would! I cant say enough good things about the work they just completed for me and their friendly professionalism. They did some re-siding, and there were no traces of old siding pieces or packaging. They even took away the old microwave after they installed a new one.     Larry and his team were outstanding on a tough job. I had a shed attached to the exterior wall of a townhome that had to come off, a large deck which was not safe to walk on, and a rotting wall underneath it. It was a pleasure to work with CC because of the skill and affability of the team, and Larry’s oversight was hands-on.     We went with Cyclone Contracting when we decided we needed to rebuild our garage, repour our driveway, and convert our carport into a 4-seasons sunroom. Even though the process was delayed a few times, primarily by weather, Cyclone Contracting was professional in working with us to try and keep everything as on schedule as we could. They also took care of any concerns we had, and made sure we got resolutions to any problems we had. The end result is great.     Very impressed with Cyclone Contracting during our significant main floor remodel. We have installed an entirely new kitchen, hardwood floors and all new paint. We had excellent help during the design phase from Jordin, choosing all the materials and color selection, making sure the style throughout the home was cohesive and to our taste. During the project, Paul and Nathan were our go-to guys. Nathan built a beautiful custom fireplace mantel and did many minor tasks not originally planned just to make the place function and look better. As project manager, Paul communicated to us each phase of the project and when all the subcontractors would be on site. We even had the wrong flooring arrive to our house and Paul got this corrected within 24 hours. Most projects of this scope would take between 3-4 months (best case) and our project was completed in 2.5 months. The Cyclone employees are first class and I enjoyed having them around, they also made expert selections for the sub contractors. They are first on my list for future house projects.

    This year, before the pandemic really hit Iowa, we had decided to move forward with our kitchen remodel. This was actually more than just the kitchen, we were also wanting to re-do the lighting and wiring throughout the rest of the house, adjust a window size and position, remove a wall and rid ourselves of the classic 1970’s popcorn glitter ceiling that the entire house had. We had hired Cyclone Contracting in the past to do 2 bathrooms and were pleased with the results, so we decided to go with them for the entire rest of the home remodel. Most of it was the kitchen but we were ready to rid ourselves of the rest of the 1976 designs and layouts in the house and wanted to do it in one big project.From the very beginning, Jennie and Larry were very helpful and patient with us as we walked through a few different remodel designs and options. We would not have ended up with the amazing layout and kitchen functionality that we have now had it not been for Jennie’s design expertise. They were with us every step of the way and I appreciated the detail in which the contract was drawn up and the ease at which we were able to add/remove and negotiate the line items. We wanted to be involved in the process and they made it very easy to do so.We are not really trendy or home-design conscious people, so it was difficult for us to pick out the tile, flooring, cabinet color, etc. on our own. Having Jennie and the access to the showroom with no pressure on timeline or picking things out was a plus. We made sure we got what we wanted and were confident that it worked best in our home. They were very patient with us even when we changed our minds a few times!Their carpentry crew led by Nate and their craftmanship on the cabinet install and all things trim were second to none. If you need anything in the carpentry area, Cyclone Contracting are your guys. Some things that we thought were going to be simple turned out to have all sorts of little hidden problems and they were able to walk us through all the options and did an excellent job pulling everything together.As with any project, there were some hiccups on the way. Cyclone kept good on their word and came out to work on anything that needed some extra work to get it just right. This project moved right along, and we were pleased with the timeline of construction, especially considering all the unknowns with the pandemic. Anyone who has seen our house before and then after is blown away with the transformation. It truly is a different home now and we have received many, many compliments on how it turned out. I can tell you, if we were to have done this project on our own, without Cyclone’s skill and design guidance, it would not have turned out this nice.I would recommend them for any remodel you may need.
