Hired FH Contractors for a new deck. They came to measure, listened to what we wanted and priced out in various materials. Definitely helped us get a full picture of our options and made great suggestions for how to save money. The time from initial quote to deck completion was lightning fast, and we love our new deck!! Overall, great experience, will hire again for any future reno needs!

Fred, Alan and their team did an excellent job replacing our sunroom with a new indoor pool enclosure. No aspect of this highly complex job seemed too daunting for them, from ordering the steel, to researching appropriate vapor barriers, to coordinating with roofers, masons and pool installers. I was reassured at every turn we had the right men for the job. And having designed the space myself, it was a delight to work with Fred as he brought my drawings to life with great attention to details and craftsmanship.As an architect, Ive worked with many different contractors. It is rare to find someone as seasoned, skilled and conscientious as Fred Heilman. His can do attitude and ability to problem solve in the field make working with him a pleasure.

Called FH Construction to do extensive repair work resulting from tornado damage. They replaced the roof and all the siding and repaired some damaged roof trusses. Fred and his crew arrived exactly on time every day. The quality of their work was excellent and the damaged room is now good as new.Also had them enclose a patio with screen and tile over the concrete floor. His design for the patio was perfect to meet our needs.Would use FH Contractors again for any of our building needs.

We had an extremely positive experience with FH Contractors on the recent renovation of our 1885 Victorian home. Fred and his crew removed a wall on our first floor, reinforced the joists and ceiling structure, and created a large family room out of two smaller rooms. They installed architectural beams, crown molding and added two sets of pocket doors on the first level, and partnered with a cabinetry shop for custom built-ins to hold our TV, fireplace and coffee/wet bar. An even more involved chunk of our reno was the creation of a primary bedroom suite and bathroom on our third floor, complete with its own HVAC system and custom built-ins. Fred and his crew were careful to salvage existing moldings, door casings and trim to re-install, so that all new construction looks like it could have been original to the home. We cannot say enough about the craftsmanship and professionalism of Fred and his workers, plus his dedicated crew of subcontractors who worked on our home. They were all timely, courteous and with great follow-through. Working with FH Contractors was a solid value for us and our best experience with a contractor ever. We highly recommend them!

Fred and crew renovated the bathroom in our 1920s house in Doylestown. We have been restoring homes for 40 years and have to say Fred could very well be the best contractor with whom we have worked. His communications were great; he did the job exactly to the schedule he laid out for us; he managed the variety of issues that always arrive when dealing with an older home; and he delivered a high quality product in the end. His subcontractors were also very professional and the entire team kept the disruption and usual construction dirt and debris to a minimum. I would highly recommend him.

We are so glad we went with Fred for our outdoor project: new roof, outdoor stucco wall repair, as well as new entrance stairs and walkway. He was professional, knowledgeable, and really worked within our budget. He constantly communicated with us on the timing of the work, if there were any delays or issues, what are the next steps in the project, etc. Overall, very pleased with him and his team. We will be calling them for future projects.

I had a load-bearing beam failing that needed to be replaced. I ended up choosing FH Contractors to do the work based on their attentiveness, experience, knowledge, and price point. Fred (from FH Contractors) quickly got to work, working with a structural engineer to determine the beam requirements and approach. The job required removal of exterior siding and interior dry wall, supporting the surrounding framing, replacing the beam and then replacing the siding and dry wall. Fred explained everything and consulted with me along the way.Fred and crew did a great job - even taking care of some additional problems that became exposed as part of the initial contracted work. Its nice to find contractors that treat your home and the work they do on it as if it were their own. FH Contractors will be my first go-to for any future contractor needs.

They installed a new support beam as well as repaired existing cracks and patch painted to make our place look new again.
