    A Window well filled up with water then came through the window seal into the unfinished basement.We scheduled an appointment with Them for the following week. On the appointment date, Anthony conducted inspection of problem walked around the home & examined the problem window well and basement wall.We recently had the job done. We were amazed watching them work. They did a beautiful job in a very very tight space (see pics) They cleaned up the area when finished.We are very satisfied with the process.     I had an issue with a considerable amount of water getting into my basement, especially after the big rains in September of 2023, so I contacted several waterproofing companies.Without question, Joe from A.M. Shield was the kindest, most honest, understanding, and professional of everyone I spoke to. He clearly explained what my options were and was willing to work with me and adjust the job proposal until we found the perfect solution for both my problem and my budget.A.M. Shield came a few weeks later, excavated in front of my house, filling in the cracks they found in my foundation, sealing it with a Tegra-Tite membrane, and neatly restoring the flower beds to their original state (including replanting our shrubs).Fast forward nearly 5 months and several heavy storms and we havent had a drop of water in our basement!As an additional testament to the integrity of the company, I discovered three months later that one of the valves for my sprinkler system was damaged by the excavation. A.M. Shield immediately mailed me a check and covered the cost of the repair.I absolutely will be using A.M. Shield again in the future and couldnt recommend them highly enough! Its been life changing not having to worry about water getting in and under my floor again!

    Weve had water issues in our basement for months, and tried half a dozen different companies and contractors. We had some work done, but nothing completely solved the issue. A few folks straight up tried to scam us. We were very sick of the whole process.Thats where A.M. Shield came in. I called and the owner, Hugo, came by within a couple days. He assessed the problem and offered a solution, complete with a 20-year warranty. He even connected us with a bank to discuss financing, though we did end up going another route.After our contract was signed, work began promptly. A team showed up, introduced themselves, and got right to work. We were blown away with how efficiently they operated. We had to leave town the following day, but they completed the work while we were gone. When we got back home, it looked like no one had ever been there. They cleaned up our property incredibly, including relaying the bricks of our walkway that they had to excavate to get to a section of our foundation.Start to finish, this was one of the most pleasant interactions Ive ever had with a contractor. Professional, efficient, and courteous, Id recommend A.M. Shield to anyone. Theres a reason theyve got almost 200 5 star reviews. Dont waste your time or money with anyone else.

    I had recently moved into a new home when a terrible rainstorm caused a major flood in my basement. Hugo, from AM Shield came and assessed the cause. I was not happy to hear that the new dry wells I had put in were not done correctly. He said that they needed replacing. I was so terrified of having constant flooding ruining all of the new things that I put into the house that I agreed to proceed with his recommendations.His men were very professional, neat and efficent.     I’m so glad to choose AM Shield to work on the leak (hydrostatic pressure from floor) that was occurring in our home. After being cheap and trying lower priced contractors that didn’t fix the leak and lost a lot of money and headache.     If I could give this company 10 stars I would do it. Everything from our estimate to job completion was smooth and stress-free. One of our basement walls would leak horribly every time it rained. Heavy downpours were the worst; squeezing out soaking wet towels and jerry-rigging a bucket to catch water coming in through the corner. We called and Hugo came out to give us an estimate. He explained everything that needed to be done and gave a great price. Tony and his crew came out and did an amazing job over 2 1/2 days. Each day, they left everything neat. All 3 men were friendly, respectful and very hard-workers. 2 days after they were done, we had the first of several heavy rains. No leaks! Everything was bone dry.     AM Shield just finished working at our home and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results.Anthony was in charge of our job and I can’t say enough good things about him. Without any guarantee of the job, he spent hours here at the initial visit really investigating our issues. We chose to go with AM shield specifically because this was a really sensitive issue for us and we trusted Anthony.     For years we had a problem with leaking in our basement. Our neighbor also had the same problem, so they used AM Shield and recommended them to us.. Well, when the time came for us to take the step we called them. It was the best decision my husband and I made. They came at the specified time, very punctual, and started at work right away. They were very professional, organized, cleaned up after the work, and were done in no time. In less than one day they managed to dig a trench in our basement, install the drain, lay cement, and run a pipe outside for drainage with no conflict at all. The work was impeccable. Needless to say, we would recommend them over and over again. Also, Anthony was the best salesman.     I thought it was time that I express my thanks in writing.Our relationship started back in March of this year, when I first met Hugo on a Saturday morning. He was professional, knowledgeable, and we were amazed that the owner of the company came to an estimate on a weekend. It was our lucky day; after having so many waterproofing companies tell us a different solution to match the product they sold, finally someone who could repair our foundation from inside or outside our home, told us the best way. That was to make the repair from outside of our home, just as the engineer had recommended as well.It didn’t take long before Hugo made us feel that it was going to be OK…he even offered me a position in his office that morning. The job was tricky with an in ground pool to work around, but Santiago and his team worked it out. They left my yard in perfect condition and we couldn’t believe that just 4 days earlier the entire yard was dug up, it looked like it had never been disturbed.During the summer we relied on AM Shield to install a fire pit patio as well, what a beautiful addition to our backyard! Naturally, over the last 6 months some of the ground settled where the work was performed.     We were very satisfied with AM Shield Waterproofing! Anthony came to our home and did a very thorough inspection of our water issues in our basement. We previously had two other contractors come to give estimates and we were not happy with either the way they wanted to fix the problem or they were so incredibly expensive and could only do the work on weekends because they had big projects in the city. Anthony came and dug down with a shovel himself to see if the project could be done safely by hand and without disturbing our brand new sprinkler system and abated oil tank.He explained everything in detail. When the crew came to do the work Anthony was here to give them thorough instructions and came back to check on the progress. The crew members were fantastic.They worked hard, were professional in every way, neat and left the area properly graded and removed all the garbage including a buried tire they found!     Moved into a new home and within a few weeks started having some water issues in the basement. Called AM Shield and they were prompt to check on the issue. Hugo provided a detailed quote and very professional. Jose and his crew arrived early on the installation date to put in a new sump pump basin, sump pump and discharge line into my front lawn. I was worried that my lawn wouldve been dug up and look like a mess but you would barely know they were there. They also cleaned up very nicely. Highly recommend!

    My experience with AM Shield has been extremely positive. I called them to give me an estimate to repair a leak in my basement. Hugo DEsposito, the owner of the company came to my home, fully explained where the leak was coming from and suggested the most cost effective fix. After 3 prior estimates, and without any pressure, I hired his company on the spot and gave him a deposit. During the 2 weeks I waited for the work to start I tried a number of remedies myself. No one was more surprised than I that they worked and the leak stopped. I called the company, told them of my success and asked for the return of my deposit. It arrived 3 days later. Would I use this company in the future? In a heartbeat!!

    This company is the expert in this area. After receiving recommendations for many different solutions to a foundation crack and leaky basement, Hugo (the owner) came up with a customized solution, made several visits and His crew performed the repair.     AM Shield diagnosed my wet basement, in Lindenhurst, by advising a French drain system at the end of my sloped driveway along with a pump for any emergency overflow.They were timely and professional and I havent had any issues in the past 4 years since the install.I have them come yearly to maintain and check on it and their service techs are awesome!!     Really great service from start to finish! We had a leak in our basement and they were able to come out quickly to figure out what was causing the problem and propose a simple solution with long-lasting results vs. other estimates we received which were much more invasive/costly. We have lived in our house for 14 years and had persistent water problems in the basement the entire time.     Reached out to AM shield because my property has heavy clay soil which results in poor drainage. Lost a bunch of arborvitaes as a result, not to mention muddy soil and grass lasting for days after rain. I heard about them from a YouTube video I saw which described the exact same issue I was having and I was surprised to learn they were local. Called them up and they had Jonathan at my house a few days later. He took his time to explain exactly what they were going to do to solve the problem and addressed my concerns.     Anthony and Michael and his team were great- very professional, honest, on-time, the whole bit. I spoke with, had visits with, and got estimates from various waterproofers, all of whom seemed to a certain degree to be kind hearted hustlers. Not in the sketchy sort of way- i am sure they all knew what they were doing, but literally almost each company diagnosed a different problem, each one saying ive been in this for ___ years, trust me when i tell you that this is the problem. which only made me more concerned that none of them were right. In the end, AM Shield were not the cheapest, but they seemed to grasp the problem the best, giving me the best explanation and it was a great experience working with them. I trusted them implicitly, which is part of what you pay for, in my opinion. I hope i never need another waterproofing! but if i did i wouldnt hesitate to call them, or recommend them to others. Also- they said they would obviously have to tear up some of our landscaping, and as they are not landscapers could/would not guarantee the return of the landscaping. which is fair, but let me say this- they did a better job putting back the landscaping than the landscapers I had hired to redo other landscaping, and despite having to dig up an entire side of the house- it honestly looks better than it did when they arrived. please note i am not advising to hire them as landscapers :)

    I made an inspection appointment with AM Shield over the phone. The inspector Jonathan Sorscher showed up 15 minutes and he called me right at the minute for our scheduled appointment. The house is going a major renovation I have not moved in yet. When we got down to the basement and found one of the water pumps burned out. Jonathan went out his way to help open the pump, I have a waterbug in the house. We pumped the water out. Jonathan went around the house and told he is going to give me few options to fix my wet basement in couple of days. And he said after the solution is applied, there will be a life guarantee we are not going to have same issue. So far, got great experiences with the company. I could definitely felt he was there to help me fix my issue and not to pressure to make a sale. Two thumbs up for Jonathan

    The crew showed up exactly on time and immediately began to work. They dug up the foundation around the chimney and filled in all the cracks, sealed the area with blue waterproofing material and then refilled the earth around the side and chimney foundation. They also put the downspours on that side of the house underground and ran it 15 feet from the foundation. The project was completed in one day and the lawn was repaired as if nothing had happened. The A/C guy they contracted to move my A/C was Jay V. from Global A/C and Heating disconnected my A/C and then reconnected the unit to its original space after the work was completed. Jay did a great job! AM Shield did a Great Job, too! Everything is working well, and no leaks after the heavy rains from Hurricane Dorian.

    I researched the company, they were referred by a NYC management company. The advisor came by to see the leak stated it is coming from the front once I show them the pictures.     In 2001 Hugo from Shield, with his excellent team, waterproofed our basement. In 2005 he identified and resolved a leakage problem that other companies could not comprehend. In the midst of Covid 19 I again called Shield and to my delight Hugo arrived the next day. This time the issue is a circular 9 foot wet area towards the back of my property. The resolution is to do nothing. Hugo said the expense of the cure is not warranted and there is no danger in letting it be. What a guy! What a company!

    Major waterproofing of a wet, dirt floor basement. They installed french drains around the perimeter and one down the middle. Piping, gravel, two sump pumps and a dehumidifier.     My basement was always very humid and damp and had the dehumidifier running 24/7. My staircase to the backyard was leaking water from the steps.     AM Shield sent out a technician as soon as I called to replace 2 broken sump pumps. They had originally waterproofed my basement 8 years ago, and the system worked well until raw sewage flooded my basement (as well as hundreds of others in my neighborhood). The pumps were not designed for such a catastrophic event, and couldnt handle the ...things that came rushing in.They came not long after I called, and did a great job replacing the pumps. They could have told me I needed another thousand in repairs, but were scrupulously honest and only did what needed to be done.Thanks so much for your help, honesty, and installing such a great system.

    I noticed a small leak on a concrete wall in basement on a Saturday . a representative came out that day explained that I had a small crack in the foundation and explained what had to be done. The work was done a short time later by Jose who did a great job and was very easy to talk to and was kind enough to answer all my questions . The company also texts and calls the day before the appointment to let you know when they will be coming the next day . I was very pleased with the work and the company .
